Greece hammered by seismic tremors- 12 in 14 hours

March 27, 2011ATHENS – The quakes almost form an elaborate circle around the southern parameter of Greece, where fault indentions in the sea are notable. It is well known that the Aegean and surrounding area, which includes mainland Greece, the Aegean Sea, Albania, S. Yugoslavia, S. Bulgaria, W. Turkey and part of the Northern Eastern Mediterranean, is seismically the most active region in the whole Mediterranean and in the whole of West Eurasia. This region is a part of the collision zone between the Eurasian and the African lithospheric plates but its present tectonic activity is much higher than in other regions of the same zone. The Mediterranean ridge is a submarine crustal swell that extends from the Ionian Sea to Cyprus and parallels the Hellenic trench. The Hellenic trench consists of a series of depressions with depth to about 5km. It parallels the Hellenic arc and includes some linear trenches, as are the Pliny and Strabo southeast of Crete and the Ionian trench. The Santorini volcano is quiet but still alive and well and may be biding its time. –The Extinction Protocol

  3. Brandon, I believe 2012 is indicative of a season of change that has already started on Earth. As far as the earthquakes——the pattern of change started in 2010. What should be of concern for us is that of earthquake creating rupture zones and thus rendering regions seismic volatile and too high-risk for continual human habitation.

  4. I agree Engine. 2012 is a season of change, which I documented as really starting in the year 2010 and it will likely climax between 2012-2013. Who or what will survive the ensuing earthchanges inbetween is another point entirely…

With all the activity in the ring of fire, it was bound to shift the other plates.
