20 presumed dead in series of landslides in Malaysia

May 21, 2011MALAYSIA – Two dozen people, mainly children, were buried alive when a landslide took down an orphanage in Malaysia on Saturday, the national news agency said. The victims were mostly orphans and staff of the orphanage in Hulu Langat, southeast of the capital, Kuala Lumpur. The landslide, triggered by heavy rains, occurred at 2:30 in the afternoon when all the children were gathered in a main hall at the orphanage, the Bernama news agency said. By Saturday evening, a search-and-rescue team had pulled nine orphans out of the debris. Three children died at the scene, and the other six were rushed to a hospital, Selangor Police Chief Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah said at a news conference. “We learned that two landslides occurred simultaneously at the orphanage,” he said. “All the victims did not have time to escape.” –CNN

I thought differently. Those that were killed are with the Lord – no more suffering and heartache.

I worry for the little children and the younger generation in the times that are coming. But if you look at the bigger picture our lives here are a tiny speck in eternity. The little children are without sin and indeed will be embraced by the Lord.

    Nevertheless it is very sad.

God rest their souls now they are in Heaven and no one and nothing shall harm them ever again. It’s hard to read about the death of children and anyone for that matter.

There is a higher being He is not blind. I used to think like you when I was a suffering child I thought why me? Why God is this happening and happening to others. Christ came to me in a dream and comforted me I didn’t believe at all I was angry at God I was angry at the world, but overtime my heart was changed by the love of Christ.
