    I’m in the thumb region of Michigan and the snow just stopped as of 5pm Eastern Time. We have nearly a foot of snow and are expected to have another storm hit early next week. The state of Michigan is pretty much shut down. My husband works at the corporate office of an international company in Auburn Hills and found out that many people did not make it to work today. The auto factory in Marlette ( where he transferred from ) was a ghost town. He said that only 15 people showed up for work.

    I’ve seen snow storms here but nothing like this where almost everyone stayed off of the roads due to warnings. It’s been surreal.

    My sister, who lives in Portland, TN, is getting snow nearly every week now. The temperatures there are fluctuating wildly……shockingly wild.

    My heart goes out to everyone….because no one will be spared this experience.

      How 50 mph Arctic winds could whip down from the pole and chill Texas, a distance of 4908 km or 3050 miles, should make us all take pause at the overwhelming power of nature and the increasingly erratic climate forces that are now tearing across the globe with a maniacal sense of urgency. As a 2100 mile long winter storm was barreling across the U.S.; Australia was being deluged with the worst cyclone in its history- followed by the worst flooding in the Philippines and the heaviest snow to fall on parts of Japan in more than 50 years. We agree Jamie; no one will be spared the effects of this experience.

        You have, by far, the most informative blog on the net. I’ve been to a few (—) and found them to be pedantic and somewhat ridiculous. I’m going to purchase your book as soon as I can. I read the reviews and they were all 5 star. I cannot understand why there is not a grand following of your site. I will send people here. Could you tell me how you came by this knowledge of the Polar Shift? I look forward to your reply.

        The book is a road map to future changes and should be an important study guide for all who are concerned about the future of the planet. Hopefully the message will continue to spread and I’m delighted so many are now tuning in and are now becoming apart of the process of reading and talking about what’s transpiring across the planet. I first came across the pole shift theory when I was writing a piece on the Great Deluge which destroyed the Antediluvian world. I actually devote a chapter to the pole-shift in my book. Thank you Jamie for spreading the word and it’s an honor to be of service.

    You are right. Something is wrong with this planet! It is only the second month of 2011 and all this is happening! What is it that is causing this? Galactic alignment, Planet X, pole shift? With all this going on do you think there is truth to the 2012 doomsday theories? Great job!

      When I began reporting unusual occurrences with the Earth in 2008, many thought I was a ‘fear-mongering’ prophet of doom and if I had written the book I wrote 7 years ago, it would have surely taken its place along with its constituents in the annals of science fiction literature. In my book, I followed the trail of science though, not fiction. I discovered there were a scientific and geological set of anomalies occurring with Earth and interplanetary space that was not being quantified by traditional science and was perhaps being qualified more by fiction. I laid out a scientific treatise in my book for what was happening to the planet (causing it to crash) and the Sun and in the space beyond our solar system. I think December 21, 2012 is not a switch for the end of the world but it is an apex point or season which corresponds to what every culture before us has identified as Augustine’s End of Time, A World Age change, The 5th Sun, Metal Ages, Galactic Shift, the Eschaton, 4th World, ect. A poleshift is an effect from what’s destabilizing processes on the planet but it is not the cause.     Thank you very much for your insight into some of these natural events. It has been refreshing to have a blog that lays down the facts and doesn’t try to make more out it than it is. I have come across a few things on the web recently in regards to post glacial rebound effect and wondered what your take is on that theory? Once again thanks much for the hard work

      I think there is sufficient merit to the theory especially considering the geology of North America and the isostatic adjustments that appear to be occurring in the Great Lakes region (lithospheric fracturing and fault eruptions) and some parts of the Arctic Circle. The part of particular interest to me is the thermal evolution of the planet and mantle convection and gradient. The changes we are seeing to the planet’s climate are not anthropomorphogenic.     Thanks for your comment. I notice in the psynopsis of your book that you say 2012 is not a mere date but a termination of life on this planet? Do current events warrant that type of thinking? Could it get that serious over the next several years?

      I think this is only the beginning of a more disturbing set of circumstances yet to unfold as the planet slides more towards chaotic disorder. During this process, the planet’s climate will collapse, volcanism will increase and geological upheavel will erupt across the planet. Unfortunately, I think this will be the case over the next few years. We are already witnessing the mass dieoff of untold number of species because of the record heat and cold- which began in 2010, and was followed by the worst winter in history in the Southern hemisphere in 2010 which saw the mass death of 6 million aquatic animals. Nature News called the event, “Unprecedented in human history.” I think there will be survivors but we are definitely entering a new geological epoch, one that has been associated in the past with planetary extinction events- we just didn’t have 6.8 billion people inhabiting the planet as we do now.     Hi, I really like your blog and I share your views except that for me it is not 2012 but 2011 and all events are unfolding according to a “Plan” that is flawless until now. Fear is the emotion that all humans will have to deal with as this gets out of control very soon; Thanks for sharing.

      It perhaps has something to do with quelling panic and something to do with 2012 being billed by some as a date of doom rather than a season highlighting change that is already underway. As the debate has raged across the globe about is or isn’t the planet’s climate changing, we have ticked that much closer to major Earth-changes and upheaval. By the time the majority of the planet awakens to what is actually happening; I’m afraid it will be too late to do anything to save many would could have been plucked out of harm’s way. This is not mysticism or about the allure of ancient fables; one only need follow the trail of science and see that unprecedented change is now sweeping across the globe. Sooner or later everyone on the planet will arrive at the same conclusion- the only relative difference will be those who have prepared for what is before us and those whose lights are now extinguished for want of oil to keep their lamps burning during the midnight hour.

    The only preparation is mental because so many scenarios are possible that no one can prepare for all of them. 2011, 2012, 2013 are solar maximum and anything can happen in one of these three years. Fear will be the number one emotion to overcome. These are very challenging times yet there is hope for Humanity but it will be a painful birth!
