Impossible to plan for every scenario? Give me a break. They just don’t want to admit there could be a worse case scenario. True that many won’t prepare or heed any warnings or advice, but a plan should be in place. As in Hurricane Katrina, they knew that the possibility of a major hurricane could happen, but they stuck their heads in the sand and ignored that possibility. All they had to do was look back on Hurricane Camille. So now if/when it does blow, it will fall into the category of “impossible to plan for every scenario”.

This story reminds me of what occurred this past summer where various weather satellite imagery captured what appeared to be venting from places in Southern California, Central California, Nevada and Arizona. This happened during the months of June, July and August. What was interesting is if you used Google Earth to locate the coordinates of the recorded events, they all took place in/near ancient volcanic fields. No forest fires in the areas and they happened on clear days.
