World’s population to hit 7 billion people on Halloween

May 4, 2011NEW YORK (Reuters) – The world’s population is projected to pass 7 billion on October 31 as it heads toward 10 billion or more by the end of the century, a new U.N. report said on Tuesday. The report also predicted that the global population would be higher by mid-century than its last edition forecast two years ago, reaching 9.31 billion instead of 9.15 billion. It attributed this to fewer deaths as well as more births than it had anticipated. The October date for reaching the 7 billion mark is based on calculations from current trends and Hania Zlotnik, head of the U.N. economic department’s population division, said it should be taken “with a grain of salt.” Nevertheless, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) announced it would start a seven-day countdown on October 24 that would include a series of events. The world reached 6 billion people in 1998 and was 6.89 on July 1. The report, “2010 Revision of World Population Prospects,” projected there would be 10.1 billion people on the planet by 2100, the first time it has looked that far ahead. But it said that if global fertility was just half a child more per woman than it expected, that figure could be almost 16 billion. U.N. officials said their figures were based on the assumption that fertility would taper off during the century. But Zlotnik told a news conference, “Stabilization of the population doesn’t seem to us as very probable at this moment.” Nations face a delicate balance between high fertility and booming populations, which strain food and other resources, and low fertility, which leads to aging populations and stress on social services, as some European states are already finding. “All countries are going to age if their populations are not to explode even more than they are exploding now,” Zlotnik said. –Yahoo News

Has anyone reading this every been up high in the sky in a plane? You look down upon the Earth and what do you see? You see tiny buildings and most of the time you can’t see the people and barely see the cars. But when you do see people, they are tiny little ants who look meaningless on the ground below. Then when you look around below at a town or city, you see that a town or city is a dot on the landscape. The Earth is HUGE. Did any of you know that you can take EVERYONE on the Planet and put them into Loch Ness Lake in Scotland and never fill it up unless you put THREE TIMES the amount? And Loch Ness Lake is a tiny scratch on the surface of the Earth.

Yes, when you are down on the ground in a neighborhood, town, city or driving on the Highway, you can see that you are surrounded by people and it looks crowded. But keep in mind that though you are surrounded by a dense cluster of people, buildings and roads, they all are NOTHING in comparison to the size of Earth, as much as Earth is nothing compared the Universe.

The Idea being pushed that there are too many people is a Globalist New World Order statement being placed into the minds of the human race through media to make you think that way also. It is untrue and propaganda. We can however change the way we build things to be for efficient and take up less space. And all the men and women out there who pump out kids like sneezing during a bad cold, need to stop.

You hit the nail on the head. I also use the airplane analogy when people say there are too many people on earth. The real problem is that we don’t have enough farmers growing our food. If we all had a garden, people might not be so quick to say there are too many of us.

I am not usually one to quote from scripture as I believe that too many people take things out of their original context and twist them for their own agenda, but have a look at these words from the book of Matthew, Chapter 24

3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
4 And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. 6 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.

    And this

17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be.

See verse 19 there? There is a coded message about population. When you see the events in verse 5-7 start, be warned, it is not a good time to have children. I think you will find that Alvin has done an excellent job on this site as a silent witness and the evidence is starting to shout, not speak for itself here.

    Take heed everyone!

The same God whose scripture you quote also said, “Be fertile and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it. Have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and all the living things that move on the earth.” Now how about that ?

Hahahaha, one of the reasons I hate quoting scripture – there is always a comeback……….
But rationally speaking we are both right. God gave us dominion over the earth to make it our own. But as I have pointed out there will (I believe has) come a time when we go into the time of sorrows. The bible specifically says as quoted above that in these times ‘woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days’ It also warns that there will be great tribulations like never seen before. So, I stand by what I said.

May peace be with you also 🙂

Oh also I wanted to add that I am in my early 20s and most people in my age group in community have already two children. However they dont stop at two I keep hearing more and more people who just keep having them. I can count more than 10 young girls around my age all pregnant with their second, third, or fourth child. Yet again these girls had babies when I was in high school too (some of them) But even people younger than me or in the 30s are all getting pregnant. I seriously know about 5 girls who are expecting babies this fall and for two of them its their third child. Its like a pregnant frenzy. LOL I love babies but its getting crazy around here and I dont live in a small town. I live in a city (not New York or anything)

So according to your reply page, there’s no problem with human overpopulation? Creationists don’t care about any other living thing on the earth as long as they can exploit it. The world IS overpopulated, where are we supposed to live?? I guess we should keep tearing up forests for tracts of developments, keep tearing up farm land for housing developments, keep damming rivers, and deforesting the planet, oh yeah, and to heck with all the other species needing a place to live, human’s seem to be the only ones to have any rights to any resource. Creationists have a need to simplify everything to suit there own agenda.

    • Kathy, perhaps its not wise to generalize. I believe in creation and I also believe the world’s current humanistic model is unsustainable. I devoted a chapter in my book called the population time bomb and the problems resulting from a runaway population on the planet. People’s choice to breed is their choice and if they bring children into this world, they should also be prepared to raise them under the shadow of the horrors to come.

I do not believe that the Earth Mother can sustain the amount of people being born as long as they are taught to CONSUME everything in sight! Can you not hear the Earth’s groaning in her earthquakes, crying in her flooding rains, anger and frustration in her spewing volcanoes? Humans do not OWN this planet or the life upon it. As Chief Sealth said, “Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it”. Our brothers and sisters of the seed, plant, animal, and insect world are dying by the millions, billions yet you think you have dominion over them? Then make them stop dying because your LIFE depends upon their survival!! We were given paradise and slap the Creator’s face by the way we treat this GIFT! Great comments markosity1973 and Xavier. I guess for whoever is having a child, if they feel led to have many, then maybe that is there calling in life, and then on the other hand, another couple only has one child or maybe none, maybe just adopts. Everyone’s life is their own, we just need to remember to be responsible for our household. It’s always a good idea to remember what is to come in the future, too. Also, there are unplanned pregnancies. Just have faith that God will be there to help and provide.

I am extremely disturbed by many of the comments here on this subject because they imply a dishonor for the soul coming to this plane for purposes of spiritual evolution.

We like to label things here on Earth. We call new souls “children” or “babies” relegating them to an inferior status… and the world we have created for them speaks volumes of this truth. ( We should never crap where our new souls eat!….but, we have.) Souls do not “pump out kids” or have “unplanned pregnancies”. One must understand who we truly are and what it is we are doing here in order to honor and respect life in all of it’s various forms.

When I became pregnant with my first son I could feel that I knew this soul coming through me and I was deeply, profoundly humbled and honored. I felt a great desire to protect this soul, to cherish this soul through creating an environment that would help him to grow in health, humility and wisdom. I was inspired to create heaven on Earth. Being the conduit through which another soul enters this plane is a Sacred honor!….but you do not see this truth in any movie, school book, music video, magazine article or tell-a-vision PROGRAMMING. They ( those that own the Air waves ) program us to be vulgar, irreverent, salacious and ignorant….and it shows!

When I see the state of our society…..trivial, irreverent and arrogant….I know where this will end. Look to your tree. How deep are it’s roots? How high do your branches reach? If you plant your tree in shallow soil then your roots will lie upon the surface never knowing the wealth and health of deep, rich soil. If your roots are shallow then your branches will grow stunted and bearing false fruit.
We have become like the shallow rooted tree. We respect nothing and even less the sacred act of birthing a soul into this world. How could anyone say that there are too many souls birthed into consciousness? Who will be the first to volunteer to leave planet Earth?
Each and every soul that volunteers to come to this hell is worthy of worship! Just think of a world in which we would treat each other with reverence for being a spark of the creator! The thought of this overwhelms me. It would be paradise!

” No man or woman is worth his or her life if lived in service to the self”. ~Siddhartha~
Are we living for each other? Are we living through our hearts? It does not appear so.

    “The thought manifests as the word;
    The word manifests as the deed;
    The deed develops into habit;
    And habit hardens into character.
So watch the thought and its ways with care,
And let it spring from love
Born out of concern for all beings.
As the shadow follows the body,
As we think, so we become.”
    Gautama Siddhartha

If we can think that there are too many people on the planet then would it not be our responsibility to make this life invaluable through what we DO with it? Our time here on Earth is Precious and our lives Sacred! We must create beauty, harmony and health that leads to the path of wisdom and ultimately our own spiritual evolution.

My heart hurts to read these replies. Each one of you, individually, is part of the whole…and very valuable to me and I will honor you by keeping you in my heart.

    Safe Journey……

I agree with you in much that you have said, Jamie. Respect is a very important thing.

But labelling a soul as a “child or a baby” is not labelling the soul as an inferior status. Children are lifted up, cherished and in many ways put first among other human beings. It’s just like labelling man and women, we all are created different in many ways, but that doesn’t mean anyone is inferior. We should respect small children, the moms and dads that helped create them, and above all, our Creator.
And yes, you are right, to our Lord, a soul created isn’t unplanned, yet to human beings, it may be. That is why I mentioned we need to have faith in God’s help and provision, for there will come a time of great tribulation. I respect your thoughts and point of view and everyone else’s that will and may differ from my own.

Oh, dear one, if this were only true. As I drive the stretch of highway from my home in Michigan to my sister’s home in Tennessee I am assaulted by billboards inciting me to visit the local “adult” bookstore, or, to have a “Bud Lite” with my crew. I am bombarded with salacious images of women in differing stages of undress and sensual repose.
Not “child” friendly in the least or even healthy for a “child” to look upon such depravity. I am assaulted even more viciously the closer I drive to the larger and more populated areas; like Dallas, LA or New York. Here, in these concrete jungles, you will see even more lurid advertisements selling sensuality and debauchery.
As I scan the landscape of this “modern” society I see nothing that would be SAFE for a child to participate in or look upon.
Actions speak louder than words and our actions have shown how we do NOT value the sanctity of innocence and purity. We defile children through the very structure of the society we root around in like pigs. Our “society” is completely corrupt.
I have traveled from one end of this country to the other and have seen things that “adults” do to children that would make any angry god smite his creations. There is a story ( albeit not the only story ) of a beautiful young soul who was forced to watch her baby sister’s decapitation in a “satanic” ritual. She was forced to watch many such “sacrifices” as well as being sexually assaulted repeatedly.
By the time ( around the age of 3 ) social services removed this beautiful soul from these degenerates she could only sit and scream, “Help me! Somebody HELP ME!” She would scream this for hours and hours the foster mother reported. This is not a rare case of childhood abuse. I was sexually abused as were my sisters, as were some cousins of mine as were other young girls I knew, as are some clients of mine. This is rampant, dear one. Each person is the WORLD and was it not Jesus who said, “What you do unto the least of them you do unto me?” Our “children” are vulnerable and in profound need of protection from ALL harm! Yet we incest them, beat them, exploit them for material gain ( It is common for parents in Italy, India, America and other countries to pimp their children out for profit ), neglect their emotional and spiritual needs and it is only because we have been neglected ourselves; “The sins of they father shall be visited upon the sons for 7 generations.” Someone has to become wise and break the vicious cycle of SPIRITUAL poverty! It has nothing to do with financial poverty.
I have witnessed grown adults engage their children with drugs, ply them with alcohol and heard many a story of father’s raping daughters…..many. Just look at the magnitude and scope of the “Adult” industry and tell me that our daughters and sons are respected and prioritized!? I cannot even go to the local Walgreen’s or grocery store without seeing a magazine with half naked women on them….and this is respecting the innocence of childhood? Absolutely not.

All forms of media have a profound affect on the mind and heart….and none of it is for the health and well being of our children. The fact that we have accepted such debauchery and vulgarity for our children to grow in speaks volumes of our own iniquity…or complacency. Either way it has proven that we do not value the sanctity of childhood.
Perhaps you live in a land dominated by healthy images of women and men?…..DOING healthy things? Where I live…there is no such thing outside of my home.
I plant gardens, harvest and share seed, share my knowledge on plants and their health benefits. I do not engage in nor engage those who are in the business of destruction. I leave them where they are until they seek my counsel….and yes, I do counsel through the science of Astrology…which teaches that we are all beautiful sparks of creation, and, in this state of purity, have the ability to manifest either heaven or hell ( but, of course, our personal environment may become a hindrance to manifesting positivity.). It is a choice, as we mature, and we must be responsible for our choices.
We are all responsible for the present world that we have collectively created and supported. It does not support the health and SAFETY of our most valuable citizens.

We must become safe in our hearts, minds and spirit.

I don’t think its fair to generalize either. I agree with what you wrote Alvin completely you are an intelligent and wise man.

I used to be a Muslim and I dealt with horrible experiences growing up ( I will not say where I lived) where I saw unspeakable horrors and dealt with evil on an everyday basis. Some people are never touched by evil in a way others are. People have done unspeakable things to other human beings and I am always surpised to see people shocked by how man treats animals and the earth? It is disgusting and I hate it but I am not surpised by it. We are in a fallen world full of sin, wickedness, and evil. But there is Hope.

Its easy for people to say create beauty, harmony and health that leads to the path of widsom and our own spiritual evolution (whatever they even means). But what if someone grows up in poverty and they join a gang because they accept them and their lives end in violence? They cant create harmony and health for themselves when say they are born with AIDS and every single day they struggle to find food for themselves or their children. They are only just trying to survive. The world is a fallen world because of Sin. Christ didn’t create Christianity or tell all the men who used His name for evil because they were false and so unlike Christ. I came to Christ after dealing with horrible experiences as well as being visited by Him.

Forgive me. I am sorry this is so long and I will stop writing but I become so upset when I see people telling others to do this or create harmony when people are just trying to survive and escape from the sorrow of this world.

Tell the people who are born deformed, die as children from cancer. They don’t have the experiences they half of us get to have but they are worthy to God, this life is not all there is and thank God. For He shall come to make it new and no one shall die as a child, no one shall be deformed, or mentically handicapped or die in war.

Apak…..it is unfair and irreverent to take advantage of anyone’s forgiveness and innate goodness. I hear this repeatedly from all religious people…that their “God” is merciful and “forgiving”. It is an abuse to take advantage of anyone’s unconditional love. If someone honors me with that kind of reverence then I must return it ten fold! I would never think to abuse this honor and trust by making excuses for my behaviors.
There are currently 1.8 billion Muslims, 2.1 billion Christians, 1.5 billion Catholics , between 3 and 500 million Buddhists, 13.4 million Jewish and 1 Billion Hindus. If we do the math we can see that nearly 6 billion, out of 7 billion people total on planet Earth, claim to believe in a “god” or higher power, but, do not practice the tenets of their faith. The majority rules and this is the world they have created through that majority.
Pray tell me, why is it, that in a world, dominated by people who profess a belief in a system of brotherly love, commit such heinous crimes against each other? I can only wonder what kind of world we would have created without all the divisiveness and insularity of man-made religion?
Every religion believes that their religion is the “word” and the only valid “word” which causes deep psychological chasms where fear and separatism flourishes. Just look how we Americans “hate” Muslims now…but how easily we “Christians” forget our sordid past of enslaving men, women and children, segregating, hanging and violently abusing our gifted brothers and sisters of another skin tone. Many Christians and Catholics drink, use pornography, abuse children, watch mindless television programming, take their children to Lady Gaga ( my sister is an elementary school teacher and 2 of her students were taken to this creatures concert where male dancers totally exposed themselves…and their families profess to be Christians….of course. ) and Katy Perry concerts, gossip and slander their brother and sisters, steal, cheat, work at munitions factories that supports the crime of war, gamble and much more that is anti-Christ like.
Your statement that , “There will always be bad with the good on this earth” is false. It is a choice. If God is in control of this world that would imply that he created this hell and this absolutely flies in the face of the “free will” mantra.

It is past the time to take responsibility for our thoughts and actions and stop blaming the “devil” and “God” for everything. Time to grow up.

I’m always amused by the atheists who lack any faith in a Creator throughout their lives, because eventually when their time comes to face death they suddenly begin to pray. I get tired of people without faith tearing into those of us who do put our faith into a higher source from which we are all a part of. The major religions of the world have many problems and disagreements with one another, but we can all agree on one thing. There is a higher power from which we are all a part of. There is no right or wrong way to believe, and your truths and values may not be the same as my own, but that does not make one of us better than the other. We are all the same and we all come from the same source. There is only one Creator from which we are all a part of and a source to which we will return when we leave this world.

The issue of overpopulation is a growing concern and I realize it’s something that the NWO folks want us to buy into. I don’t agree with their proposed tactics to slim down the population, but I do believe we must all do our part to take care of each other by taking care of the piece of planet we live on wherever that may be. If you can’t afford to take care of 10 children, then you shouldn’t be bringing those children into this world. If you really must have 10 children there are plenty of abandoned and neglected children that could use your love. The earth has much room, but the room that is inhabitable for the human population is overcrowded and we are running out of resources. Not only are we using up all of the natural resources, we are covering what’s left of the open space with our left over garbage.

How many people recycle or try to look for effective means of living? It’s always about how much stuff you can buy or put yourself in debt for to prove to your neighbor who you despise how much better you are than them. The time for materialism needs to end. You can’t take any of your stuff with you other than the spiritual lessons you may get to learn while you are here if you open your heart to Creator instead of your wallet for greed and ego.

In order to survive we must think about our neighbors and not just ourselves. We must remember what kind of future is being left to the children being brought into this world. What kind of life will they have? Poisoned waters that are undrinkable, land that is no longer capable of growing food because it has been soiled with garbage and toxic waste, air quality so bad that the only way to be outside will be to wear face masks and ventilation systems, a place where famine and suffering will be commonplace, because the future of the children was destroyed by those who care more about their money and material gains instead of what truly matters.

The earth will balance itself out, and it will be up to those people who remain to rebuild in a better way for the future of our children and their children. We can no longer separate ourselves by race or culture or faith. We must put aside our differences and begin to work together. You can’t eat money. You can’t grow money to survive or rebuild the world. Only love can do that. Only Creator can give us the tools necessary to continue on this planet. It is a choice, and when we choose Love as our weapon and Faith as our shield, there is Nothing that can stand in our way. Peace.
