Indonesia’s Mount Sinabung volcano erupts with giant ash cloud

November 16, 2013INDONESIAIndonesian farmers continued to harvest their crops Thursday even as a volcano erupted less than two and a half miles away, coating their fields in ash. Up to 4,300 residents have been evacuated from five villages in North Sumatra due to the eruptions of Mount Sinabung, according to Getty Images. The volcano has been spewing ash and lava 2.5 miles into the sky. The Jakarta Globe reported that tens of thousands of hectares of farmland had been affected, with losses to farmers expected to amount to millions of dollars. –NBC

      Yeah, just because Mayan prophecy has been misinterpreted doesn’t mean it’s incorrect. Heck, Mayan prophecy and Scriptural (Biblical) prophecy follow the same “timeline!” BUT, you won’t hear that from “our” Modern Day Scientists(?) (or whatever you want to call them)

    I’m not sure if I would continue to harvest my crops while the volcano is exploding, but then again, this is their only livelihood.

    Well, people worked and played right up to the last minute at Pompeii and Herculaneum when Vesuvius erupted in 79AD …
