11 Responses to Depression, suicides rise as Euro debt crisis intensifies

  1. Montana Jim says:

Pretty soon everyone is going to know someone who has committed suicide. Many of these people have families that are going to suffer for their sin of suicide. Nothing is worth taking your own life over. We are waiting to figure out the funeral arrangements for our neighbor who hung himself yesterday. I had tried ministering to him over his issue. I thought he had moved passed it. I guess he just started putting on a good face because he did not want to be talked out of it. If anyone reading this is considering taking their life or the life of another person, please talk with someone you can trust and please do not commit murder or suicide. Nathan my neighbor who hung himself had a little boy and a little girl. They are going to have to live with knowing what their father did.

I think I can confidently say that preppers that have prepared for all ‘last days’ scenarios, including economic collapse, are not likely to be unduly aghast or suicidal.

“We can not and will not sustain deficits like these without end. Contrary to the prevailing wisdom in Washington these past few years, we can not simply spend as we please and defer the consequences to the next budget, the next administration or the next generation.
That’s why today, I am pledging to cut the deficit we inherited by half by the end of my first term in office. This will not be easy – it will require us to make difficult decisions and face challenges we have long neglected but i refuse to leave our children with a debt they can not repay. And that means taking responsibility right now in this administration, for getting our spending under control.”

Oh to be without hope must be horrible. My hope is in Jesus who told us not to worry about what we eat or drink. Things for everyone is going to get bad. Prayers that people will find hope that really counts.

Suicide is never the answer. Im glad I have no debt. Many of us place too much empasis on material things and fail to be fiscally responsible. and the world goverments have done the same. I cant see any outcome other than a world wide finiancial collapse. I have no idea how long it will take. But if your insolvent that is what personally matters to you.

We’re just seeing the tip of the iceberg. How many of us know someone(s) that have basically defaulted on their home mortgages, haven’t made payments of any kind, 2 years in some cases, yet the lenders have made no plans/timelines for foreclosure or seizure of the property? How many people are in that position and have told no one? Are the banks afraid of econmic collapse if the enormity of the failure was know? Are they happy to have occupancy to protect against vandalism? I keep getting an overwhelming sense of doom, that we’re being set up for one last economic collapse(read money grab) by the financial institutions. Where would retiree’s be if Paul Ryan had managed to privatize social security prior to Sept. 2008? Talk about being suicidal. NOTE: Paul Ryan mentioned only because he was up front and center with a plan. Demopubs and Republicrats as far as i’m concerned. One thing i know for sure, come judgement day, the Lord will not accept budget cuts to the poor and sick while increasing the military budget as sound fiscal planning! Sounds suicidal to me. God Bless us All
