If they can do it to a population that size, it won’t be long before they try to force this down our throats too.

This does bring to mind ” the mark of the Beast ” as everyone mention here, but it also gives me pause over the very real possibilities of abuse from Hackers ( many governments claim security measures that stop this, but we know different ) and what happened to a society that puts all its chips in one bag , solar interference with grids or worse, a complete meltdown, what then?
    DNA ? 😛

Who said those who willingly forfeit freedom for security deserve neither freedom or security? Was it Benjamin Franklin?

World’s biggest biometric ID scheme forges ahead
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-india-16979875

The world’s largest biometric identity exercise, which is taking place in India, is well on its way to reaching its target of half the country’s population, reports the BBC’s Sanjoy Majumder.

Jahangirpuri is one of the biggest slums in the Indian capital, Delhi, home mostly to rubbish pickers and daily wage labourers.

Today many of them are lined up outside a tiny, single-room office, waiting patiently.

As each one of them goes inside, two young men and women enter their details into a computer before they are photographed and their fingerprints and iris are scanned.

and when people are poor they will grasp at anything to survive. This is why the governments want plenty of poor people. It is so easy to control poor people, they will literally eat out of your hand and you can then impliment any programs you want them to obey, the governments will claim that they are doing this with the poor people because it will help the poor because they will be known by the government but I believe it is simply because the poor will volunteer more easily for this in order to gain a day’s food. then the door is open for the others to get something and compromise their souls for the advancement of society by a world leader.
