If the magnetic pole has moved why hasn’t the earth and equator shifted, or has it? Or are the land masses doing so and that is the reason for all the earthquakes, volcanoes and wild weather?
Because the magnetic poles are polarity vector (coordinate) points on the globe, and doesn’t represent a physical location. They are the northern most and southern most propagation points of a magnetic field. The equator will always be at the middle of the globe…despite the fact the landmasses can and have shifted across and below it.
