December 17, 2011 – MEXICO – A city in southern Mexico wants to live each moment as if it were the last. Tourism officials in Tapachula have installed a digital clock to count down the time left before the Dec. 21, 2012, solstice, when some believe the world will end. The clock starts Dec. 21, a year before the supposed apocalypse. Chiapas state tourism regional director Manolo Alfonso Pinot said Friday that Mayan priests will perform a ceremony at the nearby archaeological site of Izapa. Maya experts say the doomsday fears are a misreading of Maya stone inscriptions that mention the date, saying the Mayans only considered it the end of one calendar cycle and the beginning of another. Pinot said he doesn’t believe the world will end, but looks at it as a sort of beginning, in the business sense at least. “A lot of people know they can fill their body with energy if they come to these exceptional sites,” he said. “If people are interested, we have to take advantage of this.” Tapachula, best known as a gritty border town crossed by Central American migrants en route to the United States, is not a popular Mayan tourism destination. But nearby Izapa is a place where many stelae have been found, including the “Tree of Life” stone discovered in the 1950s and thought to convey an ancient Mayan tale. At Izapa, close to the Tajumulco volcano, Pinot says a Mesoamerican ball court, a carved stone and the throne of the Izapa ruler face a straight line that on Dec. 21, 2012 is expected to align with the planets. “It is hard to say what you will be able to see that day,” he said. The doomsday theories stem from a pair of tablets that describe the return of a Mayan god at the end of a 13th period of 400 years, which falls on Dec. 21, 2012. Experts say the date marks the end of a 5,125-year cycle that began in 3113 B.C., and the start of another. -ABC
Earth in Crisis: We are on the precipice of an extraordinary and unprecedented planetary crisis- one that has seen great agitation, violence, and chaos spreading across the face of nature, the geo-political world, and even across the frontiers of civilization itself. Everything in our world appears to be winding towards what the Hopi called “Koyaanisqatsi” a life in disintegration or what the Greeks and the Bible referred to as a state of aporia, or perplexity with “no way out.” 2012 is not the end of the planet’s ever-intensifying catastrophic story- in many ways; it is only what promises to be an even more dramatic next chapter in Earth’s history. There is no easy exit out of the planet’s present crisis nor is there any remedial mitigation from the detrimental effects imposed upon it from the agitation of the Age or the geological catastrophism that is yet to unfold. –The Extinction Protocol

There is going to be a dramatic change.

Alvin speaking about earth changes i live in Quebec/canada and still no snow over here and god know over quebec in this time of year we have big giant storm in early november , soo this is not normal, i am stiill amazed when i go outside its cold has hell but we still don’t have any snow.. these earth become freakin weird
It’s becoming characteristic of a planet whose climate is becoming more mercurial with each passing day. Snow places are dry and normal places are receiving more snow. Record snowfall in the deserts of Atacama, Chile and Nambia this year are clear indications…the atmospheric processes regulating climate itself are unraveling.
I live in Central America and this is considered summer or the dry season. We’ve had rain on and off since Wednesday and it’s blood cool and cloudy…very abnormal. However, I am thankful for the rain as we just planted a few seeds and the rain was a blessing.
So maybe fukushima has changed the weather patterns of the entire Northern Hemisphere there seems to be sum science to support this view- Along with massive bug die offs–
Thus, the existential comtemplation begin. These days will make us all wonder that exact thing. We have to all figure that out individually as everyone’s individual destiny bears its own spiritual artery and unique stamp on time outside the human collective. They say the two more important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you figure out why.

Alvin,
I enjoy your words of wisdom. This brings to mind:
Rev 4:11 Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.
Exactly, may the Lord be honored for His bountiful blessings to all of us.
thanks
Alvin
Aren’t these all the same changes that have been going on for years? It is easy to look at things and manufacture some doomsday prophecy. People have been doing it for centuries. This blog seem’s to be the contemporary version of the person walking around public streets with a sandwich board sign with “Repent-The End is Near” plastered on it.
We’re not manufacturing anything- nature is doing the job for us. However, across the globe, the surviving families of these disasters, living in tents draped across muddy ground and existing in squalid conditions for the first time in 3 generations will be comforted by your aloof assessment that all is well and cyclically-routine in paradise. That goes for the environmental refugees in Haiti, the drought and famine victims in Africa, dislocated homeless flood victims in China, Vietnam, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Colombia, Central America, Brazil, and Thailand, the displaced environmental refugees in the Fukushima prefecture of Japan, the earthquake victims who number thousands in the Eastern Turkey and Sikkim region, the displaced in Joplin, Mo, and the volcano victims in South America and Indonesia.
Perhaps your energy would be best invested in helping and lifting up the victims of these disasters rather than attempting to beat down those printing the headlines.
Great answer Alvin.
2 Peter 3:3-4
Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Amen to that Alvin. God bless you for your knowledge and wisdom, for they are two very different things.
Always your friend in Christ,
Ronni
God bless you and keep you always,

Troll.
“Since the world began was it not heard that any man opened the eyes of one that was born blind?” John 9:32.
The blind man cannot see that he cannot see. All we can do for them is pray.
You’re right Alvin.
I just said this because I have seen a notable increase of individuals stirring dissension on Christian sites, blogs and threads. Some of these have been closed down by the owners because the bickering and arguements got so out of control. Don’t want to see this happen to this site as well.
May our Father in Heaven watch over you and every believer here in Yeshua’s name,
Amen
It won’t. I know where the “delete button” is.
God bless,
Alvin
The Bible say’s,not to dwell on the future, but only worry about todays problems, for tomarrow may never come!! We all need to think MORE ,positive, when we dwell to much on all the negitive,it brings more of that.,Think Good, and good things will follow, there are good things going on around each one of us,every day I wake up in the morning,I thank the lord for one more day that he has givin me! I have survived Cancer, everyday is a Gift to me! And I have come to the thought that when its time,Death Is Only The Begining ,to something New & Great!! Peace & Faith Be w/Everyone!!
Planet Earth, our only refuge, appears to be entering a phase unfamiliar to us.
Will we experience slow but alarming changes; OR, might we see exponential
and major change, similar to watching a huge gyroscope, begin to spin- totally
and irrevocably toward our appointment with the Latter Days? The fact is, we
can not choose an outcome of our choosing. Some things simply are not within
our understanding or realm of influence. Having had nothing to do with getting
here, we now look on with the prospect of having zero control of where we go;
or, the bed we will sleep in?
There will be no more war after “The Change”, so I predict massive unemployment in the defense sector.

I am Quebecois myself. Pure laine en plus.
No snow in Philippines yet!
And I also miss the snow. I grew up with it. Since God sent me to Bohol in the Philippines, I have been praying if I could ever have some snow up here on my mountain top. Praise the living God. It wont be long now.
Proverbs 22:3 (NLT) A prudent person foresees the danger ahead and takes precautions; the simpleton goes blindly on and suffers the consequences.
Plan and prepare for the coming disasters of 2012 so that you may be properly equipped to minister to those around you. Do not just sit back and wait for disaster to overwhelm you.
we have been told more than once what our purpose of being here is yet we will not believe in it or heed what we have been told.it is too easy, too simple.our sole purpose of being here is to get to KNOW GOD.and in doing that we will find refuge and safety for eternity.he warned us in his word,he warned us thru certain disasters,he has warned and shown us many many times that he is who he claims to be.but our hearts are hard.it is a simple matter of believing and accepting.for you nat sayers that cannot see the changes on and in the planet then i think perhaps your eyes are shut.there are voices of reason and people who can see that GOD uses for HIS GLORY to help those of us that have other gifts from GOD.this site is filled with people with many gifts.heed what is being said.blessings to all.
It is unlikely God would use the Mayan calender to give us the year of this world’s end. History is full of idiots who claimed to know when it’s coming. I am far more concerned about the social and economic upheaval than a pagan calender. If Vegas is taking bets, I’ll bet it all that 2012 is not the end. It will be an increasingly bad year but we have a lot of scripture that needs to be fulfilled. before we start the ‘death watch.”
