More signs of magnetic field weakening and disarray

February 5, 2011 – More evidence of magnetic field disarray in the onslaught of a speedy solar wind stream. This latest image was captured on February 5, 2011 when the solar winds accelerated to 608.1 km/sec conveying a proton density of 3.2 protons/cm3. The spectral pattern appears chaotic and disorganized and shows symmetry disparity.
