Europe announces disaster communication plans for nuclear emergency

November 30, 2013 – BRUSSELS – A project backed by 43 organizations is preparing Europe to react and communicate effectively in case of a nuclear emergency, drawing on the lessons of the Fukushima accident. The project, known as PREPARE, brings together national nuclear emergency centers, universities and safety authorities from 20 European countries, including Germany, Italy, Belgium, Norway and Ukraine and has €4 million ($5.4 million) in funding from the EU Framework Program for Research (FP7). Project work – expected to be finalized in early 2016 – will focus on what to do in case of long-lasting radiation releases, as seen during the Fukushima accident. Researchers will develop a system to collect and exchange information quickly and reliably during a rapidly-evolving emergency situation, and develop procedures and policies for dealing with potentially contaminated goods. Employees of nuclear emergency centers, safety authorities, agriculture ministries will be trained to use the tools and methods resulting from PREPARE. 
“Before Fukushima, emergency plans were designed in general for releases of a few days, but at Fukushima we saw releases for up to one month and then also smaller releases,” said Johan Camps, head of the Crisis Management and Decision unit at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre told World Nuclear News. One PREPARE tool will be used to evaluate an accident in its entirety, according to the project coordinator Wolfgang Raskob, of the Karlsruhe Institute for Technology in Germany. “We are planning to set up a database with historic events and calculation scenarios and then compare the incoming information with the information in the database.” Actions on food and other consumer goods coming from an area affected by a nuclear emergency have previously been inconsistent across Europe. Taking the example of Fukushima, Raskob noted that each European country had different rules and limits. One of the aims of the project is to recommend a procedure to set contamination limits to be used at European level when dealing with goods coming from the affected area, he explained. Improvements to the monitoring of terrestrial and aquatic systems following a nuclear accident are also envisaged, as are better plans for informing the public during an emergency. –World Nuclear News

    Every time I read about Nuclear energy with its the latest threat, and/or the latest plan on how we can protect ourselves from its deadly radiation…. I’m reminded of what David Wilcock had written in his “The source Field Investigations” book on clean free energy. And while I don’t agree with everything Mr. Wilcock believes to be true, I do agree with him with respect to clean free energy being withheld from us.

    In David Wilcock’s book, David talked about a conference that had been held in Zurich where “Dr. Brian O’Leary revealed a wealth of information suggesting “Free Energy” devices have been invented again and again, but are invariable SUPPRESSED by corporate power brokers.” “According to the Institute for New Energy, as of 1997, “the U.S. Patent Office has classified over 3, 000 patent devices or applications under the SECRECY order, Title 35, U.S. Code (1952) Sections 181-188.” “The Federation of American Scientists revealed that by the end of Fiscal Year 2010 this number had ballooned to 5,135 inventions and included “review and possible restriction” on any Solar Cell with greater then 20% efficiency, or any power system that is more then 70-80% efficient at converting energy.” According to Dr. O’Leary “some researchers are BOUGHT OFF and their discoveries put on a shelf. Others are THREATENED into submission, while others DIE under strange circumstances.” (sigh)

    So while I’m glad that folks have created the “PREPARE” program to protect ourselves from a major nuclear incident….its not enough. I feel that the-rest-of-us-humans need to take action and push for safe energy alternatives, such as SOLAR or Magnet energy etc. etc. etc. as well! On the other hand, I do understand the reluctance to buck the greedy-powers-that-be-system as well. You see, this Dr. Mallove person bucked the greed system, and I believe he died because of it! Dr. Mallove WAS the head science writer for Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Own Journal at one time, where he claimed he was ordered to suppress research into cold fusion.
    “Dr. Mallove also became arguably the top coordinator publisher and liaison for alternative energy inventions worldwide and had also started Infinite Energy Magazine” as well. (which says a lot about this guys character….does it not?) Anyway, the night before Dr. Mallove was to make a stunning announcement about a tabletop FREE ENERGY DEVICE, he was found bludgeoned to death outside his parents home!

    So there you have it, I call it “The LOOP” of never-ending greed, causing never-ending war, causing never-ending weapons, causing never-ending death, causing never-ending oppression, causing never-ending destruction to planet Earth. To me, its like watching a slow motion train wreck coming straight at our children! Why are we allowing the Elites to tear up this planet with Fracking? Why are we allowing the destruction of our oceans in order to squeeze out every last drop of Oil? WHY are we allowing the construction of more Nuclear facilities when we all know nuclear facilities WILL fail eventually?!

    I feel that if we don’t all do our part to stop this train wreck of greedy destruction, our collective indifference will be our doom. Afteral, its not only our CHILDREN that will be impacted by our pathetic indifference… but many other species will be, and already has been effected by our lack of action! The late Albert Einstein said it best: “The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”

    This is really laughable were it not so serious! I could go on, but what is the point.. Radiation is a Killer, full stop, and this is like shutting the door after the horse has bolted!.. They should be looking to dismantle ALL Nuclear Power Stations and use alternative Power such as Germany is now following a plan along these lines… Not as in the UK setting out plans to building yet more..

    Thank you again for all you informative Posts Alvin…. Always appreciated my friend.. I recently looked on-line at all the nuclear leaks we had had on the net… And the List is appalling And we are not alerted to half of what goes wrong! or is contaminating our Earth or Oceans..
