Iran warns U.S. aircraft carrier to stay out of the Gulf

January 3, 2012MIDDLE EAST Iran will take action if a U.S. aircraft carrier which left the area because of Iranian naval exercises returns to the Gulf, the state news agency quoted army chief Ataollah Salehi as saying on Tuesday. “Iran will not repeat its warning … the enemy’s carrier has been moved to the Sea of Oman because of our drill. I recommend and emphasize to the American carrier not to return to the Persian Gulf,” Salehi told IRNA. “I advise, recommend and warn them (the Americans) over the return of this carrier to the Persian Gulf because we are not in the habit of warning more than once,” the semi-official Fars news agency quoted Salehi as saying. Salehi did not name the aircraft carrier or give details of the action Iran might take if it returned. However, last week a spokeswoman for the U.S. 5th Fleet said the USS John C. Stennis had left the Gulf. Iran completed 10 days of naval exercises in the Gulf on Monday, and said during the drills that if foreign powers imposed sanctions on its crude exports it could shut the Strait of Hormuz, through which 40 percent of the world’s traded oil is shipped. The U.S. Fifth Fleet, which is based in Bahrain, said it would not allow shipping to be disrupted in the strait. Iran said on Monday it had successfully test-fired two long-range missiles during its naval drill, flexing its military muscle in the face of mounting Western pressure over its controversial nuclear program. Iran also said it had no intention of closing the Strait of Hormuz but had carried out “mock” exercises on shutting the strategic waterway. The United States and Israel have not ruled out military action against Iran if diplomacy fails to resolve the Islamic state’s nuclear row with the West. The European Union is considering following the United States in banning imports of Iranian crude oil. U.S. President Barack Obama signed new sanctions against Iran into law on Saturday, stepping up the pressure by adding sanctions on financial institutions that deal with Iran’s central bank. Meanwhile, Iran said the new record low of the national currency to the U.S. dollar was not linked to the latest sanctions from the United States targeting the country’s central bank. Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast on Tuesday insisted there “is no relation” between the two. He said the American sanctions “have yet to be put into practice.” –MSNBC

Will the Americans call the Iranian hand here? I think so and the possible damage/ loss of one carrier
and damage to its accompanying Battle Group. Would be the excuse to strike Iran’s Nuclear Facilities.
Perhaps another carrier will return to the Gulf in about 30 days perhaps?
Iran has a big brother who looks out for him.

I do not think America is willing to lose an aircraft carrier. I think America is more worried about losing a major American City like New York, L.A. or Washington D.C. Sure we would win the war, but it is the battles, that we would lose (initially) that would be too high of a cost.
I think Iran has had strategic nuclear capability for at least a few years or we would have attacked them in 2005 or 2008. Before the overthrow of the Shaw of Iran, Iran was then nearly a nuclear superpower from the support of the US. I do not believe the Ayatollah Khomeini had ALL of its nuclear programs dismantled and destroyed. And even if he did and Iran does not possess an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of carrying a high grade weapons grade enriched uranium; they have at least a low grade “dirty Bomb and missiles capable of hitting US targets in the Middle East and possibly Europe.
Israel and the US have had many good reasons not to attack Iran, reasons of which we (the public) no little of.
That little country has come a long way in the past decade; they even have their own military satellites in orbit.
Sure once we got in there we could hit them with all kinds of stuff to take out their capabilities, like an E.M.P. strike but this will not affect their capabilities of launching from deep underground bunkers, and it is proven that our bunker busters will not reach their silos…

Iran’s i’slamic leadership are seeking the return of the 12TH Imam;Shi’a’s messiah,
a mythical figure awaiting his return to earth from a well inside Iran. These i’slamic
mullahs, led by the Ayatolla Kolmeini and Mahmood Ahmadinejad, believe war and
global chaos will prompt the i’slamic messiah to return. The West has paid dearly
for oil from that region which passes through the straights Iran threatens to close. I
support the deployment of a carrier task force traversing the straight of hormoz; now.
The 12TH Imam is claimed to be a ” Perfect man.” Of course, i’slam is diametrically
opposed to the Holy Bible, Christians, the truth and Jews. The perfect storm may be
    unleashed soon.

This war drum has been beating along time, in modern terms. I almost expect some type of SHTF scenario happening soon!
I do have FAITH though, that the power of prayer can defuse this area and enrich it back to its full GLORY, that it is meant to be..all of humanity, IMHO, has its origins from ‘here’!
I have never been to the Medeterrianian,,lmao..but I believe it is a magical place for all to wonder..
Our planet deserves to live for another 100 billion years..but without evil in the next generation of ‘humans’!

Spoke to my son…that news story was all propoganda…it was the end of the Stennis’ rotation in the Gulf. They have now moved to support forces off the coast of Afganistan…Seems like MSM is spinning the fear into a tizzy!
