      i’m amazed to learn, there really ARE freshwater springs flowing up into the Dead Sea from below… according to this article, they were discovered just 5 years ago

      so shoreline springs would likely have the same source as the undersea springs, that would make sense… and if true, seems very important
      but can it really be true about fish? where would they be coming from? would someone be “seeding” these new water holes? what would prevent them too from absorbing deadly levels of salt from the parched xeriscape they spring out of? since i can find no sources to verify this claim is fact, i’m afraid i will have to put that piece of the story into my skeptical file until others begin posting independent verifications
