August 2015 – LONDON – These days the world is a scary place to live in. If there’s not an asteroid on its way to obliterate us or terrorists plotting our imminent downfall, there’s the dangers of giant online data hacks or complete economic collapse. People have life, car or pet insurance for the “what ifs” – this is just looking at a “what if” from a slightly different perspective. “What if a serious earthquake hits? Or a tsunami or a volcano or even a bio-terrorism attack,” said Steve, whose website racks up around 100,000 hits a month. Admittedly, those situations are a little unlikely – but 59-year-old Steve sets us straight pretty quickly. “What if the government starts acting up? That’s the number one fear among most preppers: economic collapse.”The next thing you know the whole world is plummeting down to a position you can’t get out of.”
“If anything to do with the internet goes down, half the planet will come to a standstill,” Steve told Mirror Online, citing the fact that we work, bank and socialize online in the 21st century. “99% of your life relies on technology.” He recognizes that many of these apocalyptic scenarios won’t come to pass, but calmly suggests it’s better to be safe than sorry. Some of the hallmarks of prepping involve keeping stockpiles of food in your house – enough to last a week or so if the power goes out – and learning survival skills for how to cope in the natural world. –Mirror

There are 2 sides to the preppers for the apocalypse that is coming. I belong to those that put their faith in Lord Jesus who will come to save his people. We have been watching the prophecies come true and it seems to be speeding up, looks like september will decide everything. The Rapture is imminent and will happen as promised in 1Tessalonians chap. 4, 15-18. We look up as our redemption draws near.

Please re-check the rapture…you should be preparing…God’s people are being deceived…the rapture does not happen until the end of the great tribulation just before gog magog armagedon…I was pre-trib until God showed me the truth

Amen JD same here. It wasn’t until I started praying for God to take every pre-conceived idea out of me, and replace it with the truth of His word, as he meant it to be. After that, he really opened the word up to me and I was shocked at what I was reading, wondering why I didn’t see it before!!! 🙂 This is the first one I seen with new eyes. But, even Martha knew when the catching away would be in this scripture: Joh 11:23 Jesus saith unto her, Thy brother shall rise again.

WOW, of coarse I I had a vote, I would vote pre-trib, but unfortunately we don’t have a vote on it. It will be according to scripture. May we all stand strong and endure to the end, brothers and sisters, let us pray for each other, to stand strong in the faith!!!

With all loving & due respect. I’m sorry to inform you, the rapture is NOT imminent (JOB 14:12-14 ). The “RAPTURE” is FALSE DOCTRINE of DEVILS. I understand, I believed that tickling of ears too. That being said, I HOPE YOU’RE STILL PREPARED TO BE “STAYING” AROUND FOR AWHILE!? I was deceived because, I didn’t study & bathe in the Word diligently enough. I also didn’t know how deep the Battle has been waged….such as the english translated KJV being “compromised.”
The KJV still has power, I was saved via the KJV & the NIV! The NIV having 30,000+ omissions of God’s Holy Word! The KJV has many grievous errors too! Their translators tried there best, but FAILED! Again, I was saved by both “versions.” BUT, you need to study the ORIGINAL HEBREW LANGUAGE it was written in &/or the Greek. Then you will start to go deeper in the finer details, of what is “lost in translation.” We’re in the “beginning of the End, of the Beginning” for sure. The Falling Away is in full effect. The love of many has grown cold, due to godlessness/lawlessness. The NWO, anti-christ & false prophet are about to be announced etc. etc…
However, the “church” aka Christ’s collective Body of Believers, are going to be purified, THROUGH PERSECUTION/TRIBULATION, exactly because, we’re in the Last Day’s “lukewarm” Laodicea Church, spoken of in Revelations, REV 3:14.
Now to be sure, we’re not appointed to God’s Wrath, but we’ll be subject to everything before that, “Great & Dreadful Day!” Which will ensure that we’re not around but, martyred by that time. Pray for everyone to have softened hearts & repent & especially pray & bless Israel (God’s Jacob/Israel covenant, not the current luciferian just for show/puppet/NWO/Israel) . God bless you & yours. You’ve got me curious Andrea! Could you please share how you’ve come to believe September is the date for the so-called Rapture event? (Btw- I went ahead and read 1Tessalonians chap. 4, 15-18 and found nothing mentioned about a specific date… let alone September.)

I feel Steve has indeed got it right, we will never know the minute or hour a catastrophe will strike and to be prepared,(as insurance does), is the most level headed and correct thing to do. Always have a plan set so all the members of your family know exactly where to go and what to do if something ‘different’ should occur, food, water and emergency equipment at the ready. Its all very well to stick ones proverbial head in the sand, but its another to save you family because of forward planning, regardless of how far off the bat it may sound. Sure as eggs, the government has give us no strategies or safety procedures, so it makes sense to plan this yourselves.

Another response is to read Matthew 25: 1-13, its a parable that instructs us to prepare and collect extra (oil) supplies and always wait in dedication to Jesus and obey his command until his return of which we know NOT the hour or the day. However, in the parable it says, after midnight. So to wait on the lord, is good, but he says PREPARE.

Btw- Another survival concept that totally blows my mind, is how people keep going on and on about how important it is to invest in Gold and/or Silver etc. When a major crisis actually hits, these folks will soon learn that eating a gold/silver sand wont cut it. And nor will the ‘Preppers’ be very keen about trading away their flour for any useless precious metal either. Now then, even trading a small amount of flour in exchange for paper money makes a better trade by far! Face it, does one ever have enough toilet paper around? (Grin) Heck, paper money can even be used as a quick kindling resource as well. ; )

why worry about things we can’t do anything about no one knows what the future holds I was A prepper for a while then I decided to start living my life and not think about the future. Doesn’t it say somewhere one day at a time

Jim, if you were a prepper for a while, then you will still have all the equipment, food and goods. What you have done is changed your thinking to live in the now, but once a prepper, always a prepper. Be proud of it, PREPARING IS THE ONLY THING THAT WILL SAVE YOU. About 5 years ago, I decided to research survival basics. It was then that I ran across what is known as: “Mormon Basic Four” which is also the backbone of numerous other survival programs as well.
1) Hard Red Winter Wheat
2) Powdered Milk
3) Sugar or Honey
4) Salt – (All items keeps indefinitely *except* for powdered milk which only keeps 1-5 years.
Thus it was also around that time that I also decided to go ahead and buy basic survival items. Now then, just the researching the most reputable company which also had the best prices was a task in itself! (For even back then there were a gazillion online survival companies to choose from!) Anyway, I finally decided to go with ‘Emergency Essentials’ – BePrepared.com. This company had set their shipping prices at a set rate – NO matter how large or small your purchased ended up being! To give you a better idea as to their shipping prices, I spend around $1,500. for supplies, and my shipping cost ended up being only TWELVE dollars! That’s right, you could have semi after semi pull up and it would still only cost you 12 bucks! Btw- I just now looked up this same company to find that they are not only still up and running, but that their shipping cost remain incredibly inexpensive! Oh and btw- this same company is located in UTAH which comes as no surprise…eh? (Grin) Anyway below is the link for this company. The scriptures are littered in the Old Testament of God rescuing The Hebrew people from certain destruction in the nick of time. You have to consider Noah.
What has been promised for The Body of Christ is That God has not ordered us to be the subject of
his wrath. God’s wrath towards the people on this planet will be when The world accepts, proclaims and worships The Anti-Christ as god. When he enters the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. Many people believe that is the time The Great Tribulation will start. This means to me that we are to see some out of this world visual events and very persuasive words.

Katnea, Thanks for that info. I have checked into them before. I usually order at Augason Farms.com I use many of their products on a daily basis. We love their non GMO free, freeze dried corn. I won’t buy any other corn now. I refuse to eat GMO if I can help it. They have free shipping, when you order I think around 100 bucks or so. I like them, because they have some products that are GMO free, which Legacy Foods (the one you mentioned) do not have, that I know of. I usually wait for the sales. Twice a year they have 35 to 40% off!! I think they are having a 30% off on some things right now. That really helps. I think now, Walmart carries some of their items, at least on line they do. Walmart ships free for a $40.00 order! I get all my paper products, toilet pepper, Kleenex, paper plates, zip-lock bags, etc. sent to my door now. Why lug them home, when you can get them brought to you door for free! I’m getting lazy in my old age, besides I have to lug them up 15 steps to our raised ranch home. 🙂 I tried Honeyville also. They have great stuff, but a bit pricey! We did try their freeze dried sausage and it is Awesome! I soak it in hot water for a few min. then add to fried eggs, or pancakes. I think I will try it on Pizza next. It is pricey, but oh, my so good, you could eat it out of the can!!! After being through 2 Tornadoes, in 2000, and 2008, and a 500 year flood in 2008, I do keep some stuff on hand for natural disasters. Lesson learned. I’ve always been one to have extra on hand. I grew up on the farm and my mom did that, so I guess I got it from her. When your in the Country, you can’t make trips to town that often…:) Have a great week! s
