March 2015 COSTA RICAVolcanic eruptions have slowed at the Turrialba volcano in Costa Rica. Last week’s eruptions spread ash across parts of Costa Rica, forced the cancellation of schools in the Turrialba area and temporarily closed Costa Rica’s main airport. Costa Rica President Luis G. Solis said he had canceled a diplomatic trip to Europe as a result of the volcanic eruptions. The Turrialba volcano erupted three times on Thursday, the last occurring at 2:50 p.m. local time, according to the University of Costa Rica. It also erupted once on Friday; no new eruptions occurred on Saturday and Sunday. –Accuweather
