6.3 magnitude earthquake strikes Solomon Islands region

February 6, 2013 – SOLOMON ISLANDS – An earthquake measuring 6.3 magnitude struck southeast of the Solomon Islands on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. The shallow quake was only 15 km (nine miles) deep and the epicenter was 330 km east-southeast of Kira Kira in the Solomon Islands. There was no immediate tsunami warning issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii. The earthquake was followed by a 5.3 magnitude earthquake. Today’s earthquake is the sixth major earthquake to strike the region since January 31, 2013. –Reuters

    The Ring of fire is rocking tonight, I am sure you are aware but they have had an 8.0 6.4 and multiple 5.6’s in the Santa Cruz area and there is a Tsunami warning out for the region….is this a start to more volatility?

      Yes, and it signals more upheaval, and large-scale change in the South Pacific from these events. We’re no longer talking about faults becoming restless; now the crust of the planet, itself, is agitated. When we see mega-quake strikes along tectonic plates, we know massive plate movement is underway- and this is a very dangerous paradigm.

      We’re starting to see deep changes strike the planet- which signals we are entering a geologial phase of time, marked by great upheaval with the land, air, and sea. In many regions of the world, the crustal sections of the planet will began to overturn itself.

    There were subsequent 8.0, 6.4 and 6.6 magnitudes.
    Tsunami alert issued for the 8.0 magnitude which occurred at 1:12 UTC time.

    Earthquake of 8 magnitude struck Solomon islands today at 1p.m afternoon (NZ time) 6th February. Tsunami warnings for various Pacific Islands ,while here in New Zealand ( 3.47p. m. now) radio warnings to be on alert ….

    do you think the Santa Cruz 8.0 has anything to do with the Asteroid 2012 DA14? maybe gravitational pull? but it’s not set to pass by until 2/15…

    A 1-meter tsunami created near the Solomon Islands after an 8.0-magnitude quake is spreading across the South Pacific, officials says. Fiji, Papua New Guinea and New Caledonia are among the islands in its path. Australia & New Zealand has also been added.

    Fox news just said it was an 8.0. With a Tsunami warning issued for several regions including Fiji and Australia. I’m confused is this another quake or the same one?
