Starving North Koreans ‘are forced to eat their children’

January 28, 2013 NORTH KOREAHungry parents in North Korea have been caught eating their children to avoid starvation, according to reports. One father is said to have been executed by firing squad for killing his two kids for food. And it has sparked fears there could be further cases of cannibalism in the country. The Sunday Times told how undercover reporters recorded several horror stories from inside the poverty-stricken nation. They included one man who dug up his grandchild’s corpse to eat and another who boiled his child and ate the flesh. Thousands of North Koreans are feared to be starving to death while their chubby leader Kim Jong-Un regularly dines on banquets. It is claimed that more than 10,000 people could have died from in the provinces south of the capital Pyongyang alone. One informant in South Hwanghae, said: “In my village in May a man who killed his own two children and tried to eat them was executed by a firing squad.” The informant told how the man even offered meat from his daughter and son to his wife when she returned from a business trip. He was arrested and sentenced to death after she informed the authorities and the children’s bodies were found. The reports were originally compiled by Asia Press using “citizen journalists” working inside the country.  One official told them: “In a village in Chongdan county, a man who went mad with hunger boiled his own child, ate his flesh and was arrested.” There is not enough food to go round the 24 million people who live in North Korea. Many face starvation because of grim conditions for food production including crippling droughts. But it is also under strict sanctions because of its nuclear ambitions. However just last week the defiant country outraged the world as it announced plans for a third nuclear missile test. –Sun

Repressive governments (even in so-called free democratic societies), unceasing wars, unbridled greed, etc., seemingly more than ever before and increasing. So “this day and age” appears to be as brutal as any that has preceded it. God and Gaia will respond in kind.

One of the most hideous news reports I have had to endure reading, conditions in North Korea beg the urgent question: Isn’t there something the world can do to put an end to the suffering of the North Korean people? It seems almost a crime in and of itself that world leaders allow these inhuman atrocities to continue to take place in the macabre fascist nation, decade after decade. My stomach turned over when I read this story.

    • No, we’re not stupid. In the event of a nuclear winter from a series of massive volcanic eruptions; you’ll see this happening all over the world, as it did in the past. Study your history of severe famines. Cannibalism occurred during the seige of Jerusalem in 79 AD. and during the Heian period in Japan in the 12th century. :

“In addition to political upheaval, the late Heian period was also marked by a series of natural disasters. The year after Honen’s birth in 1134, a huge storm struck Kyoto and swept away many houses in the city. In Kamonochomei’s Hojoki (An Account of My Hut), we can read of the great fire of 1177 which razed a third of Kyoto. Famines occurred in 1150, 1153, 1155, and in 1181. The 1181 famine was the worst. According to the Hojoki, over twenty thousand people starved to death and hundreds of corpses were strewn along the banks of Kyoto’s Kamo river. This unsettled period was accompanied by a sense of fear and uncertainty, and thus it is not surprising that people saw in such events proof that the world had indeed entered the degenerate age of the final Dharma (mappo).” http://jsri.jp/English/Honen/LIFE/Tendai/turmoil.html

The 1181 famine was so bad, the Japanese historian Kamo no Chomei said “they found within the boundaries of the capital over 42,300 corpses lying in the streets.” -Japan’s Medieval Population: Famine, Fertility, Warfare p. 31, William Wayne Farris

      * 1229–1232, The Kangi famine, possibly the worst famine in Japan’s history was caused by volcanic eruptions

      * During Europe’s Great Famine of 1315–1317, there were also many reports of cannibalism because food was so scarce.

      * The Great Famine in China, 1958-1962: A Documentary History: “Drawing on previously closed archives that have since been made inaccessible again, Zhou Xun offers readers, for the first time in English, access to the most vital archival documentation of the famine. For some time to come this documentary history may be the only publication available that contains the most crucial primary documents concerning the fate of the Chinese peasantry between 1957 and 1962. It covers everything from collectivization and survival strategies, including cannibalism, to selective killing and mass murder.” http://www.amazon.com/The-Great-Famine-China-1958-1962/dp/0300175183

      • Another example of humans resorting to cannibalism to survive, one perhaps more striking because it happened in modern Europe, was during the 900 day Siege of Leningrad. The German army had the city so completely cut off from the rest of the USSR that people began resorting to eating the corpses of the dead to survive, and human flesh became a hot, if very covert, item in Leningrad’s black market. Read “900 Days: the Siege of Leningrad” by Harrison E. Salisbury.

      • No, elijahsmom3, you’re not stupid, not by a long shot. The point to the discussion bringing in Kim’s nuclear ambitions into a discussion about starving North Koreans is that while his people starve and waste away he is spending fortunes on his nuclear program and military (not to mention his lavish lifestyle). Instead of taking care of the people of his nation, which is the God-given responsibility of every head of state, he is propping up a despotic regime that is more interested in helping Iran develop nukes and in maintaining his self-ordained position as a serious world leader. As long as he rules, the North Koreans will suffer.

      • Again, not stupid. 🙂 There are issues in the Western world that need to be resolved as they are not helping the problem, but there’s a huge difference between us and places like North Korea. The biggest sins the West has committed against humanity are the corporate greed that places the dollar above all other considerations, and the fact that we spend fortunes paying farmers NOT to grow food. Why are we doing that? It’s simple…by keeping the food supply artificially well below actual capacity, the corporations that run the food distribution industry are keeping the prices high so they can reap higher profits. The US alone has the agricultural capacity to adequately feed a large percentage of the world’s population, and that is just the US! Another factor that I will lay solidly at the feet of the West, in the sense that we have tolerated it for far too long, is the globalist plan for reducing the population by over half through starvation and disease, augmented by war; for a century the globalists have been pursuing this aim (look into the statements made by most leaders from Wilson down to the present and you will see this). And frankly, I do not consider Libya to be a part of the West in anything but geography!

I’ve been in PR for 25 years and have watched the drastic decline of our media, first with the “opinion-based” news of FOX in the 90’s, which brought an “entertainment” value to the “real news” … ie, they blended Inside Edition with Nightly News and came out with a hybrid news station the likes of which we hadn’t seen before. The public actually started to believe that “opinions” were actual facts. Then in 2004 when Jason Blair of the NYT got caught for plagerism and not vetting his news sources, the public’s trust in media plummeted. After that, the public scrutiny of our media as watchdogs was too intense for most major news outlets to handle and we watched as outlet after outlet started laying off investigative reporters. One of the only outlets to continue to pay for investigative reporters were the public broadcast stations, which are struggling to survive.

My biggest beef with our media these days is they don’t cover hard hitting news. They cover entertainment. News outlets can’t afford the $250K year it takes to pay for an investigative journalist, so instead they focus on fluffy pieces that won’t disturb the delicate sensibilities of the American public.

If anybody here thinks the major news outlets are going to put their necks out on a limb by covering any type of contrarian or hard news, they are sadly mistaken. Look at the inauguration – what took center stage? A lip-synching artist! Seriously????!!!

I read on average 50 news sources a day – I have dozens of clients I have to read news on behalf of and after 25 years, guess what? I come HERE for the squishy, hard-hitting news that everybody else is too afraid to cover.

So Brad, I encourage you to read MANY other sources and come to your own conclusions. Not one source is going to give you all the facts. But I can guarantee you that if you’re looking for the mainstream media to tell you the “truth” – keep looking. Their advertisers don’t want them to tell the truth. And at the end of the day, it is a pay for play.

In a recent video interview, one Egyptian scholar exposed the high school curriculum coming from Al-Azhar university, the most reputable of all Islamic schools, showing that it condoned cannibalizing non-Muslims:
We allowed the eating of the flesh of dead humans… under necessary conditions. It [dead human flesh] must not be cooked or grilled to avoid Haram (wrongdoing) …and he can kill a murtadd (apostate) and eat him
The book that is being taught to general high-school students mentions that those who don’t pray can be grilled & then eaten

Before you judge other religions, the Judeo-Christian Bible does support cannibalism and human sacrifices. Not one word against eating human flesh, in spite of all prohibitions on what kind of animals can be eaten. There is even a part in Leviticus about giving their firstborn son to the “Lord”, not to mention Abraham offering up Issac or Jephthah and his daughter. Then there is eating and drinking Jesus flesh and blood. And then there is that ‘great feast’ where Christians eat their enemies flesh after the great battle in Revelations. I am sure lot of people would be angry with me for saying all this but it is all written clearly in the Bible for all to see.

      Like

      • Sorry, nanoduck, but I don’t buy it. In Leviticus they were told to offer their firstborn into the service of the Lord, not as dinner. Isaac was a test for Abraham, not an hors d’oeurve. The eating and drinking of Christ’s blood and flesh was a symbolic act meant to remind us of His physical sacrifice. And nowhere does it state that the wedding feast of Christ and his Church would be on the flesh of the dead at Armageddon; in fact, it states repeatedly that the birds of the air would be feasting on those bodies. The Bible does not support cannibalism…you seem to have Christianity confused with Islam, which does teach that it’s okay to eat the flesh of infidels and apostates.

nanoduck….God does not promote cannibalism; why would he even mention it…He was teaching the people how he wanted them to be apart from other people of the world..and when he has people giving their children to the Lord it is not in death but in life…The firstborn were dedicated to the lord not killed in a death sacfificial offering… and what did God say to Abraham when he took Isaac to the mountain.? He told Abraham I see how much you love me!! That you would not even hold back your son from me. DO NOT KILL the child; do NO harm to him and then God provided the ram for the sacrifice.and God instead gave up his only son [ Jesus ] as a sacrifice for us instead to show how much he loves us..and with what Jesus said about drinking his blood and eating his bodyyes, many turned away at that statement and spiritually still do today, yet he offers himself for us to consume everyday that he may live in us and we in him but people that have no concept of spirituality don’t get it because they can only think about their own physical flesh but like jesus said, the flesh avails for nothing; it is the spirit that gives life.

Nanoduck, here’s some other translations of Leviticus 27:29 which clarify the true meaning of the old hebrew language:
“No person specially set apart for destruction may be bought back. Such a person must be put to death.” – New Living Translation
“No one devoted, who is to be devoted for destruction from mankind, shall be ransomed; he shall surely be put to death.” – English Standard Version
        Here’s a good explanation:
“This is said, not of such men as are devoted to the Lord, as in the preceding verse; for it is not said here as there, “none devoted unto the Lord”, but of such as are devoted to ruin and destruction, for whom there was no redemption, but they must die; nor is it said, “which is devoted by men, but of men”, or from among men; whether they be devoted by God himself, as all idolaters, and particularly the seven nations of the land of Canaan, and especially the Amalekites, who therefore were not to be spared on any account, but to be put to death.”
It’s talking about the enemies of God, (example: the Caananites, Amalekites) and obviously NOT their own firstborn. Here’s more info: http://bible.cc/leviticus/27-29.htm
As far as the other verses, as davidgreybeard has already said (but you failed to listen) they offered their firstborn into the service to God not in a literal sacrifice. It is quite evident in the verses that come afterward and in the rest of the Bible that they did not at any time kill their children in sacrifice.

      • I can’t find the other reply from davidgreybeard, so I hope I’m not repeating, but the Israelites did not sacrifice their first born to God. There was a period of time in Jeremiah where some as it say’s have forsaken God and made an altar to Baal to burn their sons in the fire as offerings to Baal. God is very explicit here, he say’s ‘I did not command that, so beware the days are coming, declares the Lord, when that place will be called the place of slaughter.’ He say’s he will devastate that place and all who pass it will be appalled. God does not condone human sacrifice, and it caused great judgement on Israel when they fell to the god of Baal. There judgement was so severe, that it was not forgotten. Anyway, the Christian God does not any way condone Human sacrifice, nor does he command cannibalism. Only one time in the Bible did he use that as a judgement and punishment. God bless, Praying for the people of North Korea.

I’m with Nanoduck on this. “Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. In such cases, you must examine the facts carefully. If you find it is true and can prove that such a detestable act has occurred among you, you must attack that town and completely destroy all its inhabitants, as well as all the livestock. Then you must pile all the plunder in the middle of the street and burn it. Put the entire town to the torch as a burnt offering to the LORD your God. That town must remain a ruin forever; it may never be rebuilt. Keep none of the plunder that has been set apart for destruction. Then the LORD will turn from his fierce anger and be merciful to you. He will have compassion on you and make you a great nation, just as he solemnly promised your ancestors. “The LORD your God will be merciful only if you obey him and keep all the commands I am giving you today, doing what is pleasing to him.” (Deuteronomy 13:13-19

Not cannibalism but human sacrifice of the highest order. The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is filled with numerous stories of animal and human sacrifice. God, we are told, likes the pleasing aroma of burning flesh. Animal sacrifice is much more common than human sacrifice, but both occur and are “pleasing to the Lord”.

Genesis, the first book of the Bible, has Abraham preparing to sacrifice his son to God. “Take your son, your only son – yes, Isaac, whom you love so much – and go to the land of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains, which I will point out to you.” (Genesis 22:1-18) Abraham takes his own son up on a mountain and builds an altar upon which to burn him. He even lies to his son and has him help build the altar. Then Abraham ties his son to the altar and puts a knife to his throat. He then hears God tell him this was just a test of his faith. However, God still wanted to smell some burnt flesh so he tells Abraham to burn a ram.

Even though he didn’t kill his son, it is still an incredibly cruel and evil thing to do. If Abraham did that today he would be in jail serving a long sentence as someone’s prison-bitch. It amazes me how Christians see this story as a sign of God’s love. There is no love here, just pure unadulterated evil.

pagan66 You know what you wrote is a deceitful lie…you hate God and you just won’t admit it. We have discussed these things before that is why I mention it in this way.. Go ahead, tell God how righteous you are brag in your arrogance how HE is so evil and you are so HOLY. If you were honestly ignorant of the spirit of God I would not write like this but you know better ; first of all Abraham did not lie to Isaac as it turned out the way he said it would, second of all, the penalty for sin is death and that is why animal sacrifices were done, because the people could feel the sadness in having animals killed because rebellion [ sin ] entered the world, and when the atrocities occured in a nearby village God was looking out for the people that were faithful to him so that they would not be polluted by those infected by evil otherwise he would have lost his very own people to eternal destruction. Kind of like when chickens need to be culled when disease breaks out among them. If none of the chickens are culled then they ALL die and the people too.; well same spiritually and it will happen that way soon on this planet. God made the animals, and God made the people. The Father will do as HE sees best and will do it for agape. Why do you say it was evil for the Father to have animals sacrificed and evil infected people culled and yet you never even mention the amount of love it took for God to sacrifice HIS OWN SON who never disobeyed, never rebelled; never sinned. In God’s love he never has us do anything that he would not do himself..and all so that sinners like us could receive forgiveness if we wanted it..These are all things that we have discussed before but I respond for those that have not witnessed our communications in the recent past. God wants you to know his great Love for you but you constantly kick him. Do you think he made you for a laugh; do you think that you are some cosmic mistake?I know my initial sentences are rough but because this is life and death not a computer game. Your decision is eternal. I really want you to live and Jesus suffered on Earth everyday for 33 years and then allowed himself to be brutally murdered so that we who have rebelled against God could be saved. @ pagan66 Of course in the verse you quoted it said their fellow citizens were guilty of worshipping foreign gods, something explicitly condemned by God. It’s not a sacrifice in the traditional sense of the pagan religions (as your handle aludes to) where they would sacrifice innocent children but this is a sacrifice of judgment, not the same thing. Perhaps you don’t agree with the judgment but you can hardly begin to compare it with child sacrifice. As far as Abraham and his son are concerned God didn’t allow him to kill him, he wasn’t interested in that. He wanted to see if he would be obedient. God knows whats in our hearts, he knows our intentions. Thats something our judicial systems can’t read so yes they would probably throw him in jail, yet so many people go to war for this country to kill people over oil and power. And concerning God wanting to smell some burnt flesh, what he really wanted was obedience (as mentioned before). Here are some texts that show this:
        Psalm 50:9-13
“I have no need of a bull from your stall or of goats from your pens, for every animal of the forest is mine, and the cattle on a thousand hills. I know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field are mine. If I were hungry I would not tell you, for the world is mine, and all that is in it. Do I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?”
        1 Samuel 15:22
“In turn Samuel said: “Does Jehovah have as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as in obeying the voice of Jehovah? Look! To obey is better than a sacrifice, to pay attention than the fat of rams;”

While it may seem an “unadulterated evil” to kill an animal, especially in this super sesitive & politically correct modern world, the truth is God created animals for our benefit. He even consecrated the killing of animals for food:
        Acts 11:6-9
“I looked into it and saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles and birds. Then I heard a voice telling me, ‘Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.’ “I replied, ‘Surely not, Lord! Nothing impure or unclean has ever entered my mouth.’ “The voice spoke from heaven a second time, ‘Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”

Ever had a steak? I’m sure the aroma was quite pleasing!

I state this as fact with no offence intended, it is all there, written in black & white. It is of course your personal right to believe in a religion & worship a God that not only condones but demands such things in the name of “obedience” but I hold to the belief that ALL life is sacred, regardless of one’s religious beliefs & if one has to hold down their child & be willing to slit his throat to prove love & obedience to a demanding God, well no thanks, that’s pure evil & against Love & Light.

Also, the bible say fathers shall eat their children and children will eat their fathers and because of this god shall destroy them from the face of the earth. The book of revelation says that the BIRDS will feast on the corpses of the enemies of god. The part about eating Yahshuah’s flesh and drinking is blood is not to be taken literal. He mentions this in the New Testament. The blood represents forgiveness and his flesh represent eternal life, in other words he wants you to get a personal relationship with him. Do some research.

In times of Famine…..yes people will eat their children! Proof….Right out of the word of God!
2 Kings 6:25 There was a great famine in the city; the siege lasted so long that a donkey’s head sold for eighty shekels of silver, and a quarter of a cab of seed pods for five shekels.
26 As the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried to him, “Help me, my lord the king!”
27 The king replied, “If the LORD does not help you, where can I get help for you? From the threshing floor? From the winepress?”
28 Then he asked her, “What’s the matter?” She answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him today, and tomorrow we’ll eat my son.’
29 So we cooked my son and ate him. The next day I said to her, ‘Give up your son so we may eat him,’ but she had hidden him.”
30 When the king heard the woman’s words, he tore his robes. As he went along the wall, the people looked, and there, underneath, he had sackcloth on his body.

I think one must follow-up to this though by stating that Deuteronomy 28:49-57 predicted that this would happen when the people of Israel rejected God’s leadership. Our country is in for some hard lessons also if we keep removing God out of our lives.

Although it’s extremely difficult to comprehend how one could find ones self at this level of starvation, this isn’t “evil”. This isn’t simply missing just a meal or two. These people are starving to death. Long term nutrition deficits and the long slow process of starvation are horrendous on the body and mind.

Well for one, there have been many news reports about famine and starvation in North Korea. I also know, unless he repents, chubby leader Kim Jong-Un will one day pay for his sins. Unfortunately, any food that does make it into the country, is confiscated by the government and given to the military. As for cannibalism, people who are literally starving to death, are often not in their right minds. With some people, self-preservation comes before sanity and common sense, and they will do anything to survive another day. This has happened throughout history.

It also says this, “Cycles in aggression and their periodic counterparts in our environment, far as well as near, currently (with notable exceptions) ignored in the West, have long been recognized in importance in Russia and its associated states. Yet in England, already in 1801, Sir William Herschel had raised concerns about the consequences in human and other earthly affairs, including crops, of an “ill-disposed” sun. Apart from the foregoing reasons, basic science needs to monitor not only the weather on earth and in extraterrestrial space, but also the consequences of space weather in populations and individuals. ” And Individuals???

    en.wikipedia.org…
    He states Here:
    http://www.kipnews.org/2012/02/02/strange-sounds-in-sky-explained-by-scientists/
In our opinion, the source of such powerful and immense manifestation of acoustic-gravity waves must be very large-scale energy processes. These processes include powerful solar flares and huge energy flows generated by them, rushing towards Earth’s surface and destabilizing the magnetosphere, ionosphere and upper atmosphere. Thus, the effects of powerful solar flares: the impact of shock waves in the solar wind, streams of corpuscles and bursts of electromagnetic radiation are the main causes of generation of acoustic-gravitation waves following increased solar activity.Given the surge in solar activity as manifested itself in the higher number and energy of solar flares since mid-2011, we can assume that there is a high probability of impact of the substantial increase in solar activity on the generation of the unusual humming coming from the sky.
Is it coming from the core??
“But you said that the cause of the “sky hum” can lie within Earth’s core as well, what does it mean? There is one more possible cause of these sounds and it may lie at the Earth’s core. The fact is that the acceleration of the drift of the Earth’s north magnetic pole which increased more than fivefold between 1998 and 2003 and is at the same level today points to intensification of energy processes in the Earth’s core, since it is processes in the inner and outer core that form the Earth’s geomagnetic field. Meanwhile, as we have already reported, on November 15, 2011 all ATROPATENA geophysical stations which record three-dimensional variations of the Earth’s gravitational field almost simultaneously registered a powerful gravitational impulse. The stations are deployed in Istanbul, Kiev, Baku, Islamabad and Yogyakarta, with the first and last one being separated by a distance of about 10,000 km. Such a phenomenon is only possible if the source of this emanation is at the Earth’s core level. That huge energy release from the Earth’s core at the end of the last year was some kind of a start signal indicating the transition of the Earth’s internal energy into a new active phase.”

    • Wow, Jenn, that was quite an interesting post! It all makes a great deal of sense; I’ve been maintaining for a while now that our planet and solar system (and probably the whole universe) is one giant biosphere of sorts, and that our entire solar system exists within the sun’s outermost atmosphere as evidenced by the solar wind. I especially found interesting the section of your post regarding events within our planet. I see that the specialization of our knowledge and science has thwarted much of our potential understanding of the mechanics of how our earth works as an integrated and dynamic system, and it’s easy to see how events at the earth’s core have visible and/or audible manifestations here on the surface. Thanks for sharing!

II Kings Chapter 6 (Holy Bible, KJV edition) reveals, that there is nothing new under the sun and, unfortunately, I am inclined to believe this story out of North Korea:

24 And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.

25 And there was a great famine in Samaria: and, behold, they besieged it, until an ass’s head was sold for fourscore pieces of silver, and the fourth part of a cab of dove’s dung for five pieces of silver.

26 And as the king of Israel was passing by upon the wall, there cried a woman unto him, saying, Help, my lord, O king.

27 And he said, If the LORD do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? out of the barnfloor, or out of the winepress?

28 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him to day, and we will eat my son to morrow.

29 So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her on the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat him: and she hath hid her son.

30 And it came to pass, when the king heard the words of the woman, that he rent his clothes; and he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and, behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh.

This is just covering the “starving” part for those naysayers who think the above report is lie.

One can easily go through The Extinction Protocol archives and -easily- find the natural disasters (floods, droughts, typhoons, etc.) that have exasperated this situation not to mention the tyrannical and despotic government ruling over these people.

    (June 2010)
Four months later (October 2010), “this 23 year-old homeless woman was found dead in a corn field in October, 2010. She died of starvation. At the time she was gathering grass to feed rabbits. In that region of the country, many households are obliged to feed rabbits at home and local schools gather them. It is said that these rabbits are used to supply food to the military or fur procurement. She was selling what she gathered in the market to make what little money she could. Without a home, she had survived by begging in the market and along the road. But one day she was discovered dead in a corn field.”

(July 2011), One year later ” In a small square near the market, a group of around ten young men, all soldiers, are sitting; all look seriously debilitated. Their cheeks are sunken; arms, legs and trunk shapes are obviously skinny which can be easily recognized even while wearing their military uniforms. A group of young soldiers who are going to be transferred to the rear-echelon because of malnourishment. Some skinny soldiers stagger and can hardly walk. The troop commander told them to stay behind the wall so as not to be seen by the public.”
    http://www.asiapress.org/rimjingang/english/report/2011-12-17/

(May 2012), One year later “This is not simply a food shortage, Farming Villages’ Crops Taken by the Government, Food Distribution to Priority Recipients Essential, The Food Shortage is a Man-made Disaster, Double Collection to Compensate for Shortages, Complete Appropriation of Farming Villages”

The distribution of food from the farms, to the despotic government, from the despotic government to the entire population has broken down.

This has resulted in the army going directly into the drought stricken provincial farms and taking their food percentage, plus more,

The drought stricken farmers and population living in the rural areas (most of North Korea) are now living without their meager ration of food.

This has led to people eating their own children.

      • That always seems to be at the heart of the problems with all of these “redistribution of wealth” schemes cooked up by the world’s governments – the wealth ends up only in the hands of those chosen by the government to have it. In North Korea the chosen few are the party apparatchiks and the military that supports it. We saw the same thing happen in Thailand a few years ago: when the world was sending tons of food and medical supplies to help their people after a natural disaster, the government seized it and gave to the military and let the people starve and rot with disease. It was the same way in the old Soviet Union; while the common person had to stand in line for hours to get a loaf of bread or a couple of rolls of toilet paper, the Party leadership was enjoying their caviar, champagne and dachas on the Black Sea coast. Unfortunately, I do not see this trend changing as we slide further into these end times; corrupt governments and people will stay corrupt and “the masses” will still be treated like low-quality cattle. At this point, only the return of the Lord and the commencement of His government will correct the problem.

And then I feel lousy for the entire day.

    Nevertheless…

Every single day I find something useful in the dumpster I give to others. The amount of waste in the USA is sickening. Tons and tons of food is thrown out every night. We only get a small portion of it.

I have found enough food to constantly keep my freezers full. The local food bank is the recipient of the rest of my largesse. They are thrilled with the good food and I find it to be an honor to help them.

Food inflation is a big deal. I’m a former numbers cruncher and I have a photographic memory when it comes to numbers. When I’m at the market I see prices going up up up. It’s very scary. What is going to happen here when when the dot.gov run out of money and poor folks have no food stamps left? It’s going to be ugly. I’m always coaching poor working class folks how to can, dumpster dive for their own family and stock up, even on a mere pittance.

    p.s. Sorry for my English.

    • Hello Julia! What the communists did to the Ukraine was brutal and heartless; I’ve seen the photos of the emaciated bodies lying in the streets where they fell and along the roads. The communists deserve to be tried and punished for this genocide, yet you’re right, there is barely a murmur. I have found that the Marxists here in the West don’t llike talking about anything that may make their ideology look bad, and this is one of those cases. The huge misconception here in the States is that communism died with the old Soviet Union, but nothing could be further from the truth – look at Vietnam, Red China, Cuba, Venezuela and other nations that are still ruled by their communist masters! Yet now they want to turn all of the West into Marxist states? Communism is perhaps a bigger threat today than it ever was simply because the media prefers to call them socialists instead, which avoids the stigma of the label “communist” but really means the same thing: the oppressive rule of the few over the beaten and bleeding many.

Davidgreybeard,Thank you for comment . I completely agree with every your word. I can only speak for my country because I live here and the saddest thing is that the half of population of the Ukraine voted for the followers murders of their ancestors’ . (I would like to say more – like i need a shoulder to cry on, but it is hard for me to express my opinion in English).

Julia…I agree with you and David…and in my Grandparents Hungary the communists were flexing their muscles the very year I was born and the local people there were uprising against it in the hopes that the USA would stand up against the communists but no; they were left to suffer. Perhaps because WWII and Korean conflict were still so recent?Yet we soon fought in Vietnam…ohh wait, I think Vietnam has rubber trees [ ? ], for industry to thrive on. Hungary had none of that and no one found oil in their ground either….

      • You raise a good point, Joseph. I’ve read about the Hungarian Uprising (I was also born right around that time) and the Hungarian patriots who were trying to throw off the Soviet yoke were hung out to dry by the West. Partly to blame is the war weariness that you mentioned, and partly it was a lack of will to risk a military confrontation with the USSR, but your point about there being no oil or other critical resources in Hungary to give the military-industrial complex an economic reason to get involved is quite valid. Regarding Vietnam, we were eased into that conflict and our role may have remained small if JFK hadn’t been murdered by the globalists; sadly, we’ll never know. But it wasn’t until 1965 under Johnson that significant numbers of American boys started bleeding and dying in that rotten jungle. I also recall that the Czechs were suppressed in 1968 by the Soviets with scarcely a protest from the West. I am so glad to now be able to say that both nations were finally able to get out from under Moscow’s thumb.

      • You’re welcome, Julia, and thank you. I think that the genocide that happened in the Ukraine 80 years ago is one of the saddest tragedies that you rarely ever hear about. I have just a smidgeon of Ukrainian in my background and have always tried to follow the news from there and learn some of the history from the area. I agreed fully with your previous statement that a lot is said about the Nazis murdering millions, but so little about the millions that Stalin murdered. You’ll probably find plenty of virtual shoulders on here to cry on (including mine!) and we are a pretty well educated, level headed bunch overall. Peace and blessings to you!

Aw Julia, my heart goes out to you:( I have read many books on the Holocaust, and for people to deny it ever happened? Awful, awful. Your English is fine, as I can truly understand you:) What boggles my mind to this day is how many went unpunished!!!! Whole villages that were aware and did nothing! David Greybeard, I so enjoy what you have to say. You make a great deal of sense, but it is sometimes hard for me to speak of what I mean. Communism scares the crap out of me, though.

Wow. Interesting points and some that are just bizarre. I’d say this post has blown up..
I for one say if it ever come down to starvation I would not dare eat my pet or CHILD. No damn way!! i would have no shame on eating a poisonous berry or whatever and just laying down and dying in a hole somewhere before I would eat human flesh. And to dumsterdiver, no thank you, yes it is a crying shame what people waste. But I think I could scrounge 22 cents up for a package of Rama soup if needed. The bacteria and germs alone from rottin food that is throwed into a dumpster along with people’s nasty (excuse me Alvin for being blunt) period bloody pads and butt paper as well with dead animals and ect. Being thrown into it, IS just a BIG ..no no!!! No way would I feed myself or anyone I know anything out of a dumpster!
for the safety of the food and possible contamination There are places that will give you the waste, you just have to speak with the owners or management to have this set up so you dont dumsterdive.

Hello everyone! I don’t know would it be interesting for you, but I feel the need for tell you what I know about Holodomor and hunger. I got the impression that not all of you understand what is hunger. Human being become an animal when it comes to surviving. My great-grandmother survived. She told me a lot about that horrible time. I was a child and could not perceive and imagine the situation, (it was like fairytale for me) but I clear remember her wet eyes, trembling voice and hands when she told about that time. Yes, people could eat people! When you don’t eat 2, 3,4…weeks you will go mad. It was winter, there were nothing to eat neither grass and nor wild animals, rivers were frozen. The people didn’t have energy to hunt and fishing. They ate roots and bark of trees. Domestic animals and food reserves were taken away by police (we call them chekisty). They went from house to house took away everything that could eat, even prepared food. Those who stood against could be killed or taken away and nobody saw them anymore. My great-grandmother told about woman that ate her child and made suicide. Nobody counted dead, everybody thought of themselves. My great-grandmother’s seven sisters starved to death (they were children) and were buried in the garden near the house because hungry people would have eaten their bodies if they had been buried in cemetery. My great-grandmother was older she was married and lived separate from her sisters and mother. Her husband worked on a collective farm, he went there to work (although he hated communist regime) to survive. There he sometimes stole grains (handful or two no more) – thanks to this they and his son (my granny was born later in 1934) stayed alive. Most of all suffered people in villages: they did not have passports and they were forbidden to went to cities where food was, though not much and too expensive. In city one could change gold wedding rings, gold or silver crosses for some bread.

My great-grandmother told that her mother cursed Stalin every day for the rest of her life. Even Nazis were more humane (She also lived through The Second World War).

Memory of hunger in our genes. My granny always scolds me when I throw out remains of food. She eats almost everything and dries bread (remains). I forgot to say that Soviet authority gave away emptied houses to Russians. In order to assimilate Ukrainian nation. That is why now my country divided in two parts. Some of them want join Russia, the other to join The European Union. ‘Devide and rule’ is a strategy of Russia. The Ukraine and Georgia are still under Moscow’s thumb. Russia is the empire of evil.

To speak about NORTH KOREA, I will never believe that this situation on account of drought, bad harvest or smth like that (We were also told the same about Holodomor). I just want to know why do they do that with these miserable (if it is correct to say in this case) people!? It is so pity that we know about this and can’t do anything to help.

So I want to wish you all to be more humane and please help those who needs help around you!

P.S. Mr.Davidgreybeard, thank you for your good words!

Thank you so much for your post, Julia. There are some very evil people out there. My mother was born in Austria in 1921. She remembers a lot of the economic devastation from the 1st World War. Her aunt (foster aunt) would sew cloths for the rich people. Sometimes she would get paid with small amounts of food. One time she received an egg (1 egg) and she protected it like it was gold. They ate a lot of watery soup and having meat was special. Most people here in the United States do not know what hunger is. Even those who are poor here have more to eat that a much of the world. And to this day, I do my best to use up all leftovers.

Thank you for reminding us of what real hunger is like.

Oh, I graduated from college as an English major and your English is beautiful.

    • You’re very welcome, Julia, and thank you for sharing family memories of a very painfult time. There very few people that I’ve know over here who knew much about what your people suffered under Stalin. Yes, I’ve been following what news comes out of the Ukraine and the divide between the pro-Russians and the Ukrainian nationalists; personally, after decades of abuse and murder at the hands of the Soviets I wouldn’t want anything more to do with the Russians than I absolutely had to have. And I agree that people everywhere need to be more aware of the sick and starving around us; as the Lord said, “as you do to the least of these…” It’s nice to get to speak with a Ukrainian this way, so thank you yet again! 🙂

Blessings to you too, David:) Julia, that is so unbelievable to me:( Thanks also for sharing. Evidently, I need to read more about Stalin, although I did not think anyone was as evil as Hitler:( I have always wondered how so many under his power could be so evil right along with him. I mean, to just torture people like they did. It still boggles the mind.

    • Thanks, starcrow! Yes, Stalin has enjoyed a bit of favorable press in our history books because he helped destroy the Nazis in Germany, but he was every bit as vile a butcher as Hitler, he just used clumsier methods. That’s why if Hitler had left Britain alone Winston Churchill would have been satified watching those two dictators wipe each other out. And just as in Germany, Stalin used fear and force to keep the populace submissive while he and the Party ran amok.

This was heartbreaking and incredibly difficult to process. As a mother, I can’t understand how a parent could do this. : ( The situation in Korea is enough to make one’s blood boil, but it should also make us all realize how very blessed we truly are. Time to thank God for all we have, often we take so much for granted. Thanks for enlightening us with these informative, thought provoking posts.

What I’ve read brought me to tears. I was just looking for an article about malnutrition for the nutri-jingle contest and this is what I found. I never thought things like this could really happen. It opened my eyes to reality. A father who eats his children because he himself is starving to death. How painful it is for a father to eat his children? I couldn’t imagine. I can’t believe how i am still thinking about how he might have felt, but he must also be hurt? Far more than how i am in pain after i read the whole thing.

How can few people turn the lives of millions into less than nothing? Why people of Korea are not doing anything to remove the leaders who never helped their people? I may sound so i dealistic, but I am young, i am full of hope, i believe in the goodness of one’s heart. I believe in humanity. We can change. Let’s help one another to change. People in this page made me believe even more that one day, we’ll be one people regardless of race. God still believes in us. So let’s have faith that with one another we can solve this problem in starvation.

I’ll always visit this page to be inspired by your intelligence and burning passion, guys!
