Powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake strikes the Gulf of Alaska

November 12, 2012 – ALASKA – A powerful, deep 6.4 magnitude earthquake struck the Gulf of Alaska at a depth of about 55 km (34.3 miles). The epicenter of the earthquake was about 562 km (349 miles) SE (133°) from Anchorage, AK. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami warning was not issued for the earthquake, that was followed by at least twelve minor aftershocks. There have been no reports of damages or injuries. Today’s earthquake is the latest in a series of powerful quakes that has seen the planet reeling from increased seismicity activity, from Guatemala to Myanmar. Clearly, a season of planetary geological change is upon us. -TEP

Its only a matter of days or weeks until we see a 9.0 + somewhere it’s getting a little worrying to be honest

Alvin, I for one look forward to your personal comments/analytical postings regarding events like this especially when it clear something is going on geologically. It is often more clearly presented.

It also seems that there has been an increase since the election………..

Wow, the Ring of Fire is definitely active. A 5.4 S of Masset, Canada, A 5.4 off the coast of Aisen, Chile, a 5.0 ESE of Iquique, Chile, a 5.0 NW of Salinas, Ecuador just to name a few of the more recent ones as of this writing.

WOW, it looks like we are in for a rough ride in the last 2 months of this year. The Myan predictions are getting to close for comfort for me. Looks like something big is coming. it could be either a big earthquake or a big volcano going off. It could be a combination of the two at the same time, even multiple big ones. The earth looks like it is destabilizing due to the weakening magnetic field strenth.

  yes something big is fixing to occur a descendant from the mayans who wrote this prophesy he is a shaman and he has taken his whole clan to stone henge and there is suppose to be someconnection between stone henge and the prophesy, he says that on nov our time there was a tremor there and it developed a whole in the ground, and he says he got visions of disasters that is to occur they say the prelude is dec11 and i guess event is dec 21 and say the possible disasters to strike could take up to a year, and this event will what they call a reset. this is just info i was given . this year there has been a lot of activity. theres been a lot of earthquakes in guatamala which isnt too far from the mayan country. we will see soon if the mayan prophesy comes true, i was told what the mayan prophesy said was a fall from a era, a hard fall

    Right on – i’ve been thinking the same about the quakes in south america and the mayans. And now we have a giant sinkhole in cumbria which has just opened up…not exactly stone henge but not too far removed either. And on top of that the world is unraveling into war and civil unrest. Whatever you believe, stay aware, stay safe and look out for those close to you that might not be as awake as yourself.

You shouldn’t be frightened about a series of Earthquakes, this is just a period of geological activity, just like how the Earth has periods of intense weather, so does it have periods of geological activity. This isn’t the end of the world, seismologists have been saying for the past 5 years that there was going to be increased activity, this isn’t abnormal but if anything quite normal.

  Normally I would tend to agree, but when in any of our lifetimes have we seen a “period of geological activity” even remotely like this? Or for that matter, when in the lifetimes of our parents, grandparents, great parents or great great grandparents? Answer: never.
  
  Unless this is a normal phenomenon that occurs once ever 200-300 years, I don’t think anyone should be nonchalant about it. I would say this is abnormal geological behavior.
  
  And no, I do NOT believe it’s some biblical act of god, a Mayan prophecy or the end of the world. My take, scientifically, is it’s a build up to something disastrous and may very well disrupt (even change?) human civilization as we know it.

is anyone paying attention to these earthquakes and those in guatamala and the redlines they both are between the redlines and the u.s. is between both areas. is it possible if these earthquakes continue will the lines rip to where they join in together? just something to think about, news doesnt say much about these earthquakes or concern about how many and where they are located

Hi,
Point well taken and then added to with today’s 6.0 off Chile. I wrote about this last Thursday that an oscillation seems to be occurring north and south while California seems quiet, actually the US, but then the temblor in Kentucky Sunday. The US made a decision last week and the result is that God’s hand of protection is being removed.
