This is my opinion regarding this post regarding Greece and the previous one regarding Spain.
First, I would like to say this. it is being reported that 46 per cent of US citizens are not paying taxes and the number who receive goverment assistance such as food stamps etc is at an all time high. There are some that need help but goverment handouts can be additive. And there are those sorely in need of work and cannot find work and those who ride the system.

Secondly, and I am going to start a firefight over this. Since the 1970’s we have aborted over 50 millions babies and countless others, known only to God. That was 50 million or so taxpayers putting into the pot and has contributed to the aging of our population. Say it like it is. Everybody who pay taxes puts in the pot for social security and other benefits.

Thirdly, consider the massive orders of ammunition in recent years/months by goverment agencies. So far 1.4 BILLION rounds of hollow point ammunition has been purchased to include recent requests for .223/5.56 and .308 ammunition. Enough hollow point ammunition has been purchased for every person in the US to have at least two rounds allocated.

I believe that the USA could be on the verge of a total economic collapse and when that happens, we could see horrific street violence because, unlike Greece and Spain, the US citizens are heavily armed and so the likely hood of extreme bloodshed in a situation like what these countries are experiencing is a reality. The likely hood of total lawlessness here in the US is a real possibility. Keep in mind, the number of extreme groups that are under ground and who would rise during this time which is soon to come. Also, regard how we act towards one another and the disregard of civility in some cases. When, unless it was during a major weather event, have we ever seen the store shelves in the grocery store empty?

This is a terrible situation in these countries and it could be heading to our shores. In the town that I live, already, in the paper, reporting that one or more elderly group home may be closed due to medicare changes and some of these elderly people have no where to go except back home to live with their children and some require in home assistance. Will someday, in America, will the elderly, the mentally and physically impaired be considered a handicap to society and euthanized like a dog? I remember my Grandmother used to go and live with each of her children so she would not have to go to a nursing home. The benefit was that she was there when the children came home from school and watched over them.

It is no secret that our national debt runs in the trillions when we were told that the budget would
be reduced. As much money that has been spent, the chickens have come home and now it seems that we are going to have to do as these countries are doing. I see massive cutbacks on entitlements and goverment monetary aid and many services we take for granted will be lost.
Families need to come together and pool their resourses.
    just my opinion………

Spain and Greece both going up in flames. I don’t blame people for leaving if they are able. I believe that this is not going to get any better.

Thats what happens when youhave too many takers and not enough makers. I wonder how long before the USA goverment can no longer borrow the 40 cents of every dollar it spends.

Greece and other countries have been backed into a corner. And their goverments have said “There are no alternatives” And they may be right, but there will always be consequences. Civil unrest as witnessed in the last few years, can be contagious.
