August 11, 2012 – TEHRAN — Strong earthquakes with magnitudes of 6.3 and 6.4 struck on Saturday near the northwestern Iranian city of Tabriz, Tehran University’s Seismological Centre said. The strong earthquakes were about 11 minutes apart, and created numerous aftershocks. Iranian news agencies made no immediate mention of casualties or damage, but reports were preliminary. The quake hit at 4:43 pm (1223 GMT) with an epicentre about 60 kilometres (40 miles) northeast of Tabriz, at a depth of 10 kilometres (six miles), according to the Seismological Centre. The US Geological Survey, which monitors earthquakes worldwide, confirmed the temblor near the city which has a population of 1.5 million people. It measured 6.2 on the Moment Magnitude Scale used for quakes stronger than 5. –AFP
Armenia shaken by quakes: Shocks were registered in the territory of Armenia. As “Armenpress” reports according to the data of the European-Mediterranean Seismological Service a strong earthquake was registered in Iran 63 km to the east of the city Tavriz on 60 km depth. Shocks were felt in different administrative regions, also in Region Syunik. The Crisis Management Center of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations informed that shocks were registered in the whole republic territory. Details are being specified. –Armen press
Alvin, do you know if these occured any where near where they are working on uranium enrichment and nuclear bombs?

The quakes were northwest of Arak —– beyond the tip of Iraq

I have a very real problem with believing anything the US government/corporate controlled media puts out on the airwaves so I pay absolutley no attention to their scare tactics and warmongering diatribe. I highly doubt that the Iranians are enriching uranium, but, if they are it matters not one scintilla. George Bush,jr. gave blueprints to India on uranium enrichment back in 2004 yet they were not even signatories of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty. Iraq just happened to be signatories ( back in 2004 ) yet we invaded, murdered their citizens and devastated their country. So what is all this gossip about Iran???
I do not believe a word the media says about other countries, their leaders ( which are put into power by the Trilateral Commission ) or the people of that certain country the US maligns. It is so very disturbing to read the comments on other boards where people say things like, “Just carpet bomb the !@#$”, “They are all a bunch of extremists anyway!”, “Kill them all!” Just as the average “American” had no say in the invading of Iraq and Afghanistan… Kosovo, Somolia, and many, many other countries that have prized natural resources, neither do the citizenary of every country on this planet.
I believe…..no, I know that the best policy is to never take the word of another in regards to what a person or a “leader” is actually doing as this amounts to nothing more than gossip. If we did not personally see the Iranians enriching uranium then why would we believe a corrupt government or media?
P.S. I happen to know, personally, some very fine humans ( who just so happen to have the misfortune of being born, as we all have, on planet Earth ) that do not deserve all of this warmongering gossip and hatred.
Peace be our Essence!

Yes Irene – well said. I always find it it disturbing when i hear those who say things like just bomb them all and who have such hate spew from their hearts. We are all from the same dust, no not one of us is without sin.

Still think HAARP is just a myth? yeah right! this is what the USA is capable of !

The region is on a fault. The only unbelieveble thing about this is why Iranians would populate there. There are thousands of such unstable seismic ticking time bombs scattered across the globe and people are oblivious to the dangers. This is the only the first notes in a long litany of coming funeral dirges.

It’s not the first at all. These sorts of things happen all the time, and they’ve done so ever since the surface of the earth cooled enough to have some solid crust.

Why indeed would anyone live on a fault, just look at California ?
Some people just never learn

MichaelM, i think he means in heavily populated areas with high death tolls.. like he’s said before, we’ve never had this many people living on the planet before, and so many of whom are living on fault regions..

I’m sorry but HAARP is not God! People need to stop trying to give it credit for so much!

I would certainly agree & with all this hype about HAARP today being the origin to all natural disasters is a bit ludicrous…

But the rate now is increasing dramaticaly. Bible say too, in the last time one of the signals will be “you see many earthquake….” ….will refer to TV or TV + the manipulation with Haarp??? I agree not all is haarp but some of them perhaps. Others counties have haarp too Rusia for example.

I see a video on here from CNN but the only coverage I actually saw was just “twin earthquakes rock Iran” in the small ticker section on CNN today, nothing on Fox & nothing on MSNBC. Guess because it is in Iran, the news networks care nothing for it

Sam, I saw a thing on MSNBC but it only mentioned one earthquake, and that it was a 6.2. It still amazes me (although it shouldn’t), at what the MSM does not report.

Hmm, Just a thought, but an earthquake in the right place could relieve the constant ranting of a Israeli strike…….

Alvin seems the elite/illuminate have made there first chess move. This isn’t natural. This isn’t normal. And this is not ironic?. HAARP Attack on Iran? You didn’t think world war 3 would be fought with guns did you?? (society brainwashed by Olympic media) Olympic games…. ZION See where I’m taking this?. ladies, gentlemen I hate to be honest but I think this is the Extinction protocol.

I just read wikipedia re: Caspian Sea, near these quakes. It’s interesting that this is the largest in-land sea in the world, is noted for deep caves & ancient civilization as early as 11,000 years ago, is over 3,300 ft. deep, and the specific location where the first off-shore OIL wells in the world were drilled in 1873. The U.S. is involved, and pipelines, directions and leaks sound possibly relevant to nearby quakes…with or without human cause. My prayers to the many.

The news media seems to be ignoring these quakes in Iran. They have something else on their minds, “politics, and more politics.” Human life and suffering do not seem to bother these folks anymore. Maybe they are being desensitized. How sad!

Surely you realize by now that the majority of the ‘civilized world’ is entirely more concerned about what may or may not affect THEMSELVES versus genuine care and concern for their fellow human beings.
Fear not, the day of the Lord is upon us.

Alvin, and fellow extinction protocol fanatics. Hoping everyone is safe and enjoying life!
Now honestly though? This can’t be natural? Look at it? Does no one else see the war games in place??
All of these natural disasters and crimes happening but we aren’t hearing or seeing about it. I haven’t seen anything in the papers or news here (QLD Australia) all I see is Hollywood bullcrap or more (boring) Olympic game updates.
HARRP I suggest everyone searches it on Google.
I hope none of you thought Ww3 would be fought with just guns?
I hate to say this ladies and gentlemen, I think this is the Extinction protocol.

It’s perfectly natural. Iran is riddled by some of the most dangerous fault lines in that region of the world. As the planet experiences more seismic unrest from these changes, these regions will be demolished. The Extinction Protocol is underway but it has nothing to do with an antenna array in Gakona, Alaska. The sooner we hold these changes in the context, befitting of their approaching peril, the better will be all of our chances for survival. Today, it is Iran; tomorrow, the rest of the world. Soon death and destruction will march across the planet indiscriminately.
The massive number of dangerous geological faults around the city of Tehran is astounding. It is only a matter of time before all such cities are laid to dust.

I tend to think the same as Alvin…..these are events from Mother Nature. It wasn’t long ago we had the big earthquake in Japan….now scientists are talking about the dangerous area on the opposite side of the Ring of Fire, the Cascadia Subduction Zone, a fault that runs parallel to the Pacific coast of North America, from northern California to Vancouver Island. This is alarmingly similar to the one in Japan, capable of generating a megathrust earthquake at or above magnitude 9, and about as close to Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver as the Tohoku fault is to Japan’s coast. Decades of geological study recently established that although it appears quiet, this fault has ripped open again and again, sending vast earthquakes throughout the Pacific Northwest and tsunamis that reach across the Pacific.
What happened in Japan will probably happen in North America. The big question is when.

This is my favorite site on the web. After this, I check weather underground. After reading
many reports on devastating cyclones attacking Madagascar (and some gutting Mozambique), I watched for news updates. Nothing reported here in the US. Rarely a mention on BBC. Nothing on other world news programs. Many lives have been lost. Homes washed away. To tug at your heartstrings, I’ll note that little boys and infant girls died for lack of basic services. No food, no drinkable water, no clean bandages to prevent infections that increased the body count of dead.
As a person with three dogs, I think it would have been heavily publicized if someone’s dog had injured it’s tail or paw.
If you use this Alvin, please feel free to truncate.
