June 22, 2012 – TURKEY – Syria shot down a Turkish warplane on Friday, Lebanon’s al-Manar television reported, risking a new crisis between Middle Eastern neighbors already at bitter odds over a 16-month-old revolt against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad. “Syrian security sources confirmed to a Manar correspondent in Damascus that Syrian defense forces shot down the Turkish fighter jet,” the Hezbollah-owned channel said. Turkey, which had drawn close to Syria before the uprising against Assad, became one of the Syrian leader’s fiercest critics when he responded violently to pro-democracy protests inspired by popular upheavals elsewhere in the Arab world. Ankara has previously floated the possibility of setting up some kind of safe haven or humanitarian corridor inside Syria, which would entail military intervention, but has said it would undertake no such action without U.N. Security Council approval. Turkey said it had lost contact with one of its military aircraft off its southeastern coast, and a television station said it had crashed in Syrian territorial waters. CNN Turk television said Turkey was in contact with the Syrian authorities to get permission to conduct a search for the airmen, although there was no immediate official confirmation. Turkey’s military said a search and rescue operation was under way. It lost radar and radio contact with the plane after it left Erhac airport in the eastern province of Malatya. Two crew were aboard the F-4 jet, Turkish state news agency Anatolia said, citing Malatya governor Ulvi Saran. Hurriyet daily newspaper reported that the plane had gone down in international waters and that the two airmen had been found alive and well by Turkish forces. –Reuters

This is not true, the pilots were captured by syrian army soldiers, not by the turkish. The plane was shot down over syria, not international waters, making it a violation of international military law, a violation comitted by turkey, not syria. These are not revolts against president al assad, they are terrorists armed by an unknown source, CIA most likely, and they have been pouring into syria through the lebanese and turkish borders, this has been confirmed by syrian army officials.THe army has also confirmed, through confessions, that the massacres in Houla or in homms have been comitted by the “rebels”, the self proclaimed Free Syrian Army, who dont come from syria, and are mercenaries. Besides, Bashar was democratically elected in 2000, and re elected in 2007. Dont be fooled by the media saying: “russia is ARMING the Assad REGIME” no no no, russia legally sales weapons to other countries, just like the states, and its not a “regime” its a democratically elected government, (a secular government by the way, unlike the crazy wahabist ultra conservative islam fanatics in saudi arabia, allies with NATO) This is not a revolution, its a coup d etat disguised as a revolution by the western media, just like in Lybia. It has NATO written all over it.

We consider ourselves such a rightgeous, christian nation, yet when you look at the pictures of conflicts around the world, our planes, tanks, weapons of all kind’s are being used. If not ours, Russia or China’s. The other day i was driving past a local railroad yard and noticed a very long string of flat rail cars loaded with armored vehicles all sporting a mortar barrel. I wondered what God thought. The fact we’ve armed the world to kill each others children, and ended the potential lives of 53 million babies since abortion was leaglized is genocidial, plain and simple. I refuse to compare our deeds the the monsters of the past so as not to minimalize their crimes againt humanity, but do not wonder why God has turned his back on America and the blood on our hands. God forgive us all

Because I believe strongly in prayer, I often wonder what God has done with all the prayers uttered in total despair during all the conflicts over the last 100 years. Be it from a mother crossing the threshold of a gas chamber or a soldier just being ordered to leave the trench and face sure and certain death. Did God just think, “This conflict is over now so I can delete all these” He may also have thought “This has to stop”
I believe when a bunch of people come together and pray for the same intention, things can happen.
Now it looks like the world is on the verge of using nuclear weapons. We are losing (or being denied) something from Earth everyday, birds, fish, animals, insects, etc. Mankind, losing jobs, homes, dignity, respect, etc. The only constant is God. All of this makes me believe that God did think, “This has to stop”
Only my opinion, for what its worth.

I agree with your opinion. It made me really stop and think. It’s like a lightbulb turned on. It’s getting close to the time our heavenly father says stop. Enough.

I read once that in regard to the sell of weapons, it was to offset what The Former Soviet
Union was doing and what Russia is doing now, what China is doing now and what North Korea is doing and what Iran is doing. It is like a contagious disease.
Well, take Egypt, it is well armed with US M-1 tanks and aircraft to include Russian made aircraft. One thought proposed was that if we had to fight those countries or any of our friends, they would know the limitations of that equipment.
In regard to the wholesale slaughter of 53 million or so babies, and i believe it is higher,
God will require payment. He will require life for life. People are under the impression and perhaps the belief that God has changed since the ministry of Jesus Christ. He has not.
Probably, in my opinion why he has not administered judgment is because of his Grace.
just my opinion………

Turkey is a member of NATO. They cannot let this go. Not even 1 word from NATO? What is the point of being in a international defense force if your partners do not defend you…..?

NATO, Article V of the Washington Treaty
“The Parties agree that an armed attack against one or more of them in Europe or North America shall be considered an attack against them all and consequently they agree that, if such an armed attack occurs, each of them, in exercise of the right of individual or collective self-defense recognized by Article 51 of the Charter of the United Nations, will assist the Party or Parties so attacked by taking forthwith, individually and in concert with the other Parties, such action as it deems necessary, including the use of armed force, to restore and maintain the security of the North Atlantic area.”

In the article that I read, it said that an unknown Jet (later identified as Turkish) had been shot down in Syrian waters (travelling at high speed approx 1km off the coast of Syria) and crashed approx 10 kms off the Syrian coast. Turkey had requested permission to enter Syrian waters to look for the 2 airmen. If that is the case and a foreign jet was shot down in their own territory would that then be considered an act of defense in relation to the NATO Article V?

This is a serious thing. Syria has now attacked a western ally. This is an act of war. Things are about to get serious b/c Russia and China support Syria.

From THE TELEGRAPH uk
But he(Turkey) could well invoke Chapter IV of the treaty, which allows a member state to convene an emergency summit of the whole alliance if “the security of any of the parties is threatened”.
Turkey came close to doing so in April after Syrian forces opened fire into its territory, wounding two Turkish nationals and two Syrians at a refugee camp close to the borders.
It was persuaded not to do so by the United States, but is likely to be less malleable now. In returnfor agreeing to allowing Saudi and Qatari funnel weapons to the rebels through its territory, Mr Erdogan sought and received assurances that America would protect Turkey from any Syrian backlash, according to Western officials.

It was filled with biochemical….um…stuff. lol We knew we had to get away from it asap.

The U.S. needs to look long and hard at alliances made during the cold war era. Biblical scripture is very specific what lies ahead for people/nations that turn there back on Israel which both Turkey and Egypt have done. We need to maintain and confirm our alliance with Israel and make sure we make no “Deals with the Devil”

It probably was a reconnaissance plane just taking a fast look-see at the new Russian SAMS sites, or possibly, just a drone used to measure their effectiveness against an intrusion. The F4 is used as a targeting drone by us, and has been for years, so whose to say we’re not just testing the waters – so to speak.

I do not believe this constitutes an act of war, over one plane, one crew regardless of the Nato Charter. And, what is to say that it was not a possible provocation.
If so, then Russia would have had the legal right during the height of the cold war era to retaliate against the US for all the reconnaissance planes we sent over and those who were shot down. At least 44 or more.
I know that the situation in Syria is not good. But, I do not want to see war. I do not wish for it.
I believe that if Turkey was to respond, that it would not be confined to their borders, in that it would spread to Israel, somehow.
We would do the same thing to a Russian plane that flies around our borders now to test our response. As Americans, we do not know what it is like to be shelled everyday, live under rocket fire or a threat on our borders like some nations. The daily threats we live under are our own makings and permission to exist.
So, let us hope, cooler heads will prevail here and another solution works out because the world is
changing and will you be ready, which is the thesis of this site because this could get out of hand real fast and 60 days from now we could be praying and hoping it would calm down.

There is the physical land of Israel which is no longer a nation of God (they forfeited that right a long, long time ago), and now there is the spiritual Israel which is the Church of God. No true Christian would ever confirm their alliance with the physical Israel which the Synagogue of Satan has taken over. You have to listen to what the Spirit says….not the world.

Israel is GODS CHILDREN and God’s rejection is only temporary. The fact that there’s a physical Israel today is living proof of that fact as outlined in Isaiah and Romans, the protection of Israel and the destruction of those that have hatred towards them(Edom) in Ezekiel. The Bible is very specific about the future of those that form alliances and judgements against Israel. Since history is riddled with the negative consequences of those that have treated the Jews poorly, as a Chrisitan, i’m going to listen to what the “HOLY” Spirit says, and leave JUDGEMENT to GOD. Praise be to God.
