I pray that everyone will allow me a bit of personal reflection.

Mainly, thank you Alvin and the rest of you who comment. Your knowledge and input has helped me immensely. Today was my hubsand’s birthday, so I took him to our favorite watering hole (bar/restaurant, for those who don’t understand the term) to celebrate a little. While there, I got into a discussion about global economics. (Warning, politics and alcohol do not mix.) Although this guy was fairly knowledgeable about what’s going on (he knew about Greece) I started talking about the rest of the situation. I noticed, pretty quickly I might add, that the conversation changed rapidly to sports. (I guess I knew more than he wanted to admit.)

Economics was never my strong suit. I have been in deep debt (bankrupt several times) and bounced more checks that I want to admit. But I have learned, and I am amazed at how much I have learned from this site. All of you have no idea how grateful I am.

    • That’s wonderful to hear, Irene. What more could be said from that testimony? Thank you for being here.

      God bless,

I agree with you, Irene C. I’m noticing myself armed with knowledge and reading Bible scriptures reinforces what I’ve learned so far. I’ve had this discussions about conflicts in countries and economy with my co-workers, friends, and family members, they were disbelief on how much I know when I was in disbelief that they are not keeping up with news!! Really?!?! But only those who are given this gift of knowing more will have more responsibility of sharing the Gospels as well how it ties in with current events.

Irene, I miss those simple times you speak about at the watering hole. I stop going becuase I couldn’t find those “enlightened”. But I find them here (thanks Alvin) and college. I bounced one or two checks in my life but quickly found out that it also happens to millionaires too as this very article is discussing in a round about way. I forgave myself, payed the penalty and moved on. No one is good at economics (agian, look at the article), just be good in surviving. I’m guessing you and your husband good at that. Congrads. Enlightenment sometimes requires a different audience. Please stick around and grow with us. Personally, I trying to save money to buy the books Alvin wrote. I don’t want/expect “free”. Alvin gotta live too (LOL)
