Second study predicts imminent irreversible planetary collapse

June 11 2012PLANET Using scientific theories, toy ecosystem modeling and paleontological evidence as a crystal ball, 18 scientists, including one from Simon Fraser University, predict we’re on a much worse collision course with Mother Nature than currently thought. In approaching a state-shift in Earth’s biosphere, a paper just published in Nature, the authors, whose expertise span a multitude of disciplines, suggest our planet’s ecosystems are careening towards an imminent, irreversible collapse. Earth’s accelerating loss of biodiversity, its climates’ increasingly extreme fluctuations, its ecosystems’ growing connectedness and its radically changing total energy budget are precursors to reaching a planetary state threshold or tipping point. Once that happens, which the authors predict could be reached this century, the planet’s ecosystems, as we know them, could irreversibly collapse in the proverbial blink of an eye. “Once a threshold-induced planetary state shift occurs, there’s no going back. So, if a system switches to a new state because you’ve added lots of energy, even if you take out the new energy, it won’t revert back to the old system. The planet doesn’t have any memory of the old state.” These projections contradict the popularly held belief that the extent to which human-induced pressures, such as climate change, are destroying our planet is still debatable, and any collapse would be both gradual and centuries away. This study concludes we better not exceed the 50 per cent mark of wholesale transformation of Earth’s surface or we won’t be able to delay, never mind avert, a planetary collapse. –Terra Daily
2010 Book quote: Earth’s stability is collapsing…and one by one; the biospheric processes regulating life itself are going awry. These are early characteristics of climate shock and are indications that even more ominous changes are yet to unfold. The fact that Earth’s systems are all crashing in concert (Climate, biodiversity and ecosystems, atmosphere, aquifers, and geological processes) is evidence geological change is accelerating on a planetary scale…the frequency of natural disasters and cataclysms will intensify without respite as the planet succumbs more and more to this chaotic model. Earth is falling under the shadow of a death march…nature is under a scientific directive. It is irreversible. It is the extinction protocol.” –The Extinction Protocol, pp. 9-10

Wow Alvin i just read this, and said omg Alvin said this, I was going to look in your book and post it, but I saw after the post you did. I thank god everyday for you, and that I found you 3years ago. Thank you once again Alvin, you are for sure our watcher! God bless you and your family.

Luke 21:25,26. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea. Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what is coming on the world, for the heavenly bodies will be shaken. It’s amazing to watch when the scientists get a first hand look at the awesome power of God! Let not your heart be troubled.

So if the earth will soon be on the fast track to global ecological ruin, will the extinction event span over a multitude of years or will it come swift and destroy all? Of coarse only time will tell, but if a small area (coastal community) has established a biodiversity and indapendance from society, could survival be a tangible future?

Yes iamnotashamedofthegospelofchrist. The scientist studying the possible out come found a very powerful thing. It it called Nature though. You are using science, the very thing your church tried to kill in gods name, to prove god????
Do we need to hear this here?
    Why bring God into it?
It offends me as i don’t ram my beliefs down your throat.

Whoa!! Slow down Sno. We all have beliefs and no one is ramming their beliefs down your (or my) throat. What iamnotashamedofthegospelofchrist said is of her own belief as is what I say. No one is twisting anyones arm to believe as they do. We respect each other on this blog. Personally, it’s sad that you are so easily offended that you cannot bear to read any belief other than your own. Besides, if you have been reading this blog for any amount of time, you would have noticed that most of us mention our various beliefs. Oh, and it wasn’t “our church” who tried to kill in God’s name, it was evil men who killed for their own demented reasons, using the church as a flag of war.

Yes, thank you Irene. I don’t set out to offend anyone with what I believe, but we are warned by Jesus that we will be hated by all because of him. This is one time I don’t mind being hated. But I will include her in my prayers, because time is indeed getting short and I like God don’t wish anyone what judgement is coming. Thank you all, esp. Alvin for keeping this site up, so we can all gain knowledge, wisdom and guidance. God Bless.

Be happy that people are starting to wake up and understand that Science and the Bible are compatible. I have scoffed at both sides. My favorite movie was inherit the wind and the Rock of ages Scene. I was amazed at Hawking when he said there was no God. God is indefineable and I contended that Stephen Hawking had the best seat in town to view God the most intimate seat of all.

My apologies for the Double Post – Wisdom is Science!!! — 1. All wisdom is from God. God created Wisdom before all other things. Wisdom reveals her secrets to God. It is God’s gift to those who love him. All wisdom is from the Lord, and with him it remains forever. The sand of the sea, the drops of rain, and the days of eternity-who can count them? The height of heaven, the breadth of the earth, the abyss, and wisdom-who can search them out? Wisdom was created before all other things, and prudent understanding from eternity. The root of wisdom-to whom has it been revealed? Her subtleties-who knows them? 9It is he who created her; he saw her and took her measure; he poured her out upon all his works,

This is why everyone should keep their beliefs to themselves. Wisdom was not created before ALL things. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Wisdom is also not feminine. Remember, Words have power. Say what you mean and mean what you say. Or say nothing at all because Mat 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. And what comes out? Words come out so use them wisely.

I love this site. For one we all give our beliefs in our comments, even those who disagree with us, but our beliefs are a big part of who we are. That said, Proverbs 1 gives a warning against rejecting wisdom. Verse 20 say’s “Wisdom calls aloud in the street, she raises her voice in the public squares; at the head of the noisy streets SHE cries out, in the gateways of the city SHE makes her speech.” Thanks again Alvin for all the wisdom your sending our way. Continuing to pray for guidance, wisdom, and knowledge for us all.

I think this report is the same as the other one. In any case, it is another good reminder that “the time is at hand.” I took a look at the full article, with Arne Mooers’ demands for delaying the inevitable, and I feel fairly confident that there will be no delay other than the delay for people to acknowledge it.

Also in any case, I just want to say thank you for diligently managing this important web resource. My wife found this site about five or six weeks ago and we’ve been subscribed from mere days afterward. The more we read, the more we “lift up [our] heads; for [our] redemption draweth nigh.” May the LORD bless you and keep you safe to sound this alarm for as long as men have ears to hear.

I think Alvin you posted an article that a threshold had been crossed sometime back.
According to these scientists, a planetary collapse could occur much sooner than later and it seems that it will happen without warning. It is like the planet is going to reset itself. That is what I got from this article.

whether or not earth is going to ‘collapse’, I can guarantee you one thing. It WON’T be from “man-made carbon emissions”. The peers who reviewed this paper are who? Are they paid by the UN or any government? Of course they are. This planet is on its way to extinction but its not from my car, and paying carbon taxes is NOT going to do anything but make the billionaire globalists into trillionaires!

  8. I agree with the post of “iamnotashamedofthegospelofchrist”. Almost everything that I read in Daniel and Revelation is coming to pass with ever increasing speed, and volatility. At 62 years of age, I will probably just miss seeing the return of Yeshua HaMachiach before my body’s decent into the grave, but just like Job said, “even though the worm eateth my flesh, with my own eyes, I shall see the LORD” .

It’s nice to see that the scientists are finally realizing something that we have known all along. These changes are happening faster that what was once believed. Now, could it be possible that the original “changes” that created this planet didn’t take millions of years? Just saying…

For we know that the whole creation groaneth and travaileth in pain together until now. And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.- Romans 8:22-23

(Kind of lets us understand the feeling of unease or excitement that many of us are feeling.)

So, I just wanted to see if I have this right. The earth is past it’s tipping point, and is taking back control, and there’s Nothing that we can do about it right? So is everything going to change by December 21st, or do you not subscribe to the change of consciousness theories that are being talked about elsewhere? I guess I just don’t understand what it is that is happening.

    • What does December 21 have to do with anything, Cody? The world is not ending on that date nor has anyone said it would. And for as ‘nothing we can do’ – there was always nothing we can do. Man has always been at the mercy of larger forces of creation.

God says in the Bible; if you follow and obey me you will not have to deal with the plagues that I put on Egypt, but if you do not obey, these plagues will certainly pass, so with what God says, we are trying to save the planet physically instead of morally, [ spiritually ], this is why man is failing to ” save ” the planet. Our spiritual Father can do it all but we consistently ignore him as a world society and so he leaves us to our own depravity which ends up in world disaster AND he will send us the plagues of Egypt. Also, read Revelation chapter 18. It seems to say it all and that USA is Babylon.

    • suz says:

Better to prepare psychologically I think Brian…..each disaster is different so you need to be flexible and expect the unexpected. The more you understand how an emergency can affect your thoughts and feelings, the better you can respond to the situation and regain footing. It’s natural to feel physically or mentally drained. You will have difficulty in making decisions, staying focused, or feeling overwhelmed, numb, tired, sad, frustrated, irritable, lonely or worried. Recognizing these reactions in yourself and others acknowledges the emergency and puts these thoughts and feelings in context.
Most of all maintaining a positive attitude is critical. We are a resilient species. And, as stated in American Red Cross materials, “Disasters are inevitable but not insurmountable.”

And does anyone have any evidence or good theory on how long before the dollar collapses?

    Like

    • jehjeh007 says:

Theory, Brian. The dollar will not collapses, but the entire world financial system will. There will have to be a reset done. The 1 percenters know this, hence why they are financially distancing the rest of us. Their believe is when the reset occurs, only a few of them will have “real” worth. However, they don’t know what that real worth will be. Gold? Land? Slaves or Family (yes, slavery still exist unfortunately)? I guessing Alvin’s book address this, hence I am saving for it. However, I am very open to any other’s point of view.
