6.0 magnitude earthquake strikes off the coast of Japan

May 20, 2012 TOKYO Japan was hit by two shallow earthquakes in the space of just eight minutes on Sunday, one of them measuring a strong 6.0-magnitude, but there were no reports of damage and no tsunami alert. The 6.2-magnitude quake struck at 4:20pm (0720 GMT) off Japan’s northeast Pacific coast, the national meteorological agency said, followed by a tremor with a reading of 5.7 at 4:28pm. The U.S. Geological Survey estimated the magnitude of the first quake at 6.0. The depth of both quakes was about 10 kilometers, the agency said. “Sea levels may change slightly due to the (first) earthquake but there is no fear of damage resulting from it,” the agency said in a statement. A 9.0-magnitude undersea earthquake off the same coast triggered a monster tsunami on March 11 last year, leaving about 19,000 people dead or missing and crippling the Fukushima nuclear power plant. –Deccan Times

Alvin, God has put you in this time and place to open the scriptures that speak of things to come on the earth. I am under the impression, although it could happen over night, that all events that are on-going, is a process by God to warn us.

Many, many, people would not consider laying aside provisions thinking that God was going to allow approaching events to somehow bypass believers and their families or God will provide and do nothing. While it is so true the Lord looks after his children, he also gives them wisdom. What kind of man would let another man come in his home and harm his family?

This web site has enabled thousands and thousands of eyes to be opened. Yes, while it is true that the events in scripture will happen, many of us, to include myself, did not realize how far advanced it is when I came here almost three years ago.
And is is unknown now how many lives may be saved by the information provided by this site.

Whatever you have suffered in getting to this point, the time and funds has not been wasted.
    God Bless…………….

    • Thank you, Dennis for those thoughtful and heartfelt words. May God be glorified by what He has done through me and through us all involved in this global, encompassing effort.

I’m humbled and feel honored that you have said this and it means a lot.

      God bless you my friend,

Interesting thoughts, like you, i’m inclined to think it’s an ongoing process that we should be preparing for. It seems everone (christians) are convinced of a “pre-tribulation” and have nothing to worrry about on a personal level. I’m not so sure, there seems to be enough scripture to believe “post-Tribulation”. I’m in a quandry, curious what other people think?

I agree….I’ve come across too many scriptures regarding the end times that say things like ‘endure’ and ‘persevere’. Not, don’t worry you will be spared of all end time worries. Just as in labour, you just have to go through it once it’s begun…but it holds such a reward at the end. ^_^

Why bother warning us then not to take the mark of the beast, and we wont be able to buy and sell if we weren’t going to be here? That time is not going to be pretty if you think bout it.

And I suspect the man of sin will come in as a solution to the crashed economy and people will be desperate, so much so that they’ll sacrifice their rights like this for peace and order.

Think we’re in for a rough ride, but God will be by our side helping us through.
Am SO grateful I was saved…..would be terrifying for non-believers. 😦

There is nothing in the bible about a rapture. I honestly think the rapture idea was fueled and spread by the Left Behind series.
“And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.” Why shorten the days for the elect, if the elect are already swept away in the “rapture”? I also think that anyone who truly feels they have nothing to worry about on a personal level (and there seem to be many who do), are either very self-righteous and delusional, or they plan to already be dead before any of this happens.

Very well put, Dennis E. When you think about the 4000+ who are subscribed to this blog and the thousands who pass these articles onward via email, facebook, twitter, etc., the warning is getting out. It is now up to the hearer of these warnings to do with the information what he/she wishes.

Ezekiel 33:4,6 – “Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head….But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”

Of all the verses in the Bible, this one scared me out of complacency.

I too agree with you Dennis E. Alvin IS an angel of God and has helped me to gain much knowledge and wisdom through this site. Spreading the word to as many people as we can, I believe is of the utmost importance. Without Alvin there would not be this much knowledge of what is happening. Thank you Alvin and God bless you.

    • Among those born of women, there hath not risen one greater than John the Baptist, notwithstanding; he which is the least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Matthew 11:11

You are greater than I, as are all who open their hearts so enthusiastically and embrace the warnings and truth for this last time. There is great joy in heaven when God’s messages find an open heart. I’m a humble servant, a man, and I’m honored to be able to be of service to so many and glorify Christ, who is deserving of all the credit. I’m so thankful that my life, in any way has been a benefit to someone else. That’s very humbling and I thank God for your gracious thoughts. Christ said among those born of women, there was none greater than John the Baptist on Earth, but he says…even the most wretched sinner who seeks forgiveness from God and barely makes it into the kingdom is considered in heaven, even greater than John- for the first shall be last and the last shall be first.

      God bless you,

  4. Beautifully said, Dennis E. Blessed with YOU, Alvin, not just for the not-to-be-found-anywhere-else information alone, but for giving us a voice in a world that seems voiceless and barren, you have brought “us” together in a way I can’t begin to articulate… it has eased my own weariness more than you know.

I don’t think we can all prepare physically in the same way for many different reasons, but we can do our best and are bound to do so, and I do believe the Lord will and can multiply our own efforts, if He so wills. But most of all there are our *SOULS*… Acting as Watchman and answering God’s call by what you write and most of all HOW you write it, Alvin, you are warning us the time is *now* to repent and come to the Lord, sending this message out among us to reverberate back into the world around each one of us, like a ***bell being rung***, and a prayer that many will listen while there is still time. And on a lighter note, I especially enjoy your wit, God Bless you for all of the above and more, my dear Alvin. Grace of Christ be with you and yours always!

Thank you AFOJC for those kind words. I’m delighted the blog has blossomed into all this. As Christ said, “Herein my Father glorified that ye bring forth much fruit.” John 15:8. When the frailest of human wills are united with the infinite resources of heaven in faith, mircacles are the result. As long we continue to thank Him for the blessings, I know the work all of us have sown and fellowshipped in, in some way, will continue to shine. You’re absolutely right, God does multiply our efforts. I started this blog with nothing but a prayer and all I had. It seemed an impossible task but I believed God would provide a way. On the first day, we had only five visitors to the site. With no advertising, with no way of getting the word out, it has miraclously mushroomed into this by the same process that carried the sparks upon the wind on the day of Pentecost or that has multiplied the meager meal of two small fish and five barley loaves. It is a process which I can not take credit for and that’s the beauty of standing there and watching the work of God unfold. We’re not all the same and it doesn’t matter. We’ve found a common source light with Christ and have been warmed together in the radiance from Him as we’ve befriended each other. I’m grateful for that.

      God bless
      Alvin

  5. Fukushima quake, tsunami disturbed upper atmosphere: NASA
    WASHINGTON | Wed May 30, 2012 8:33pm BST

(Reuters) – The massive earthquake and tsunami that hit Fukushima, Japan, last year wreaked havoc in the skies above as well, disturbing electrons in the upper atmosphere, NASA reported. The waves of energy from the quake and tsunami that were so destructive on the ground reached into the ionosphere, a part of the upper atmosphere that stretches from about 50 to 500 miles above Earth’s surface.

The ionosphere is the last, thinnest part of the atmosphere, where solar ultraviolet radiation breaks up molecules and leaves a haze of electrons and ions.

In images released on Friday, NASA showed how the earthly disturbances from the March 11, 2011, quake and tsunami were echoed in the movement of electrons far aloft. This movement was monitored by tracking the GPS signals between satellites and ground receivers.

Scientists have seen this phenomenon before, for tsunamis in Samoa in 2009 and Chile in 2010. The Japanese event, however, occurred in a region more closely monitored by a dense network of GPS receivers, NASA said in a statement.

Alvin – Could this be verification that this earthquake and tsunami (and possibly the others mentioned also) were created by HAARP?

God bless you for this site and all your hard work.

Forces of nature emit electromagnetic radiation- even tornadoes. Fukushima is ionizing radiation and it has those types of effects on the atmosphere. I think the geology of the planet is spinning out of control and I do not think HAARP is the culprit behind these massive changes. The forces of nature are inconceivably powerful and are simply building to a cresendo. Soon, they will reach a point where they will overwhelm any and everything on this planet, natural or manmade. This is a pattern that’s been repeated throughout the solar system that has left many celestial bodies in our solar system in utter ruins.

The above picture is just one example that demonstrates the mind-bending destructive power of nature. The crater to the right is called Viti and it was formed during the 1875 eruption of the Askja volcano in Iceland. As large as it is and though the people look ants standing on its rim, it was only a small collateral crater formed during the main eruption. The main caldera and rim of the volcano is inside the large lake.

You’re welcome and take care. We thank God for the work he continues to do through this site and us.

      Alvin
