Moderate 5.9 strikes coastal region of Chile: tension is rising along the Nazca tectonic plate

May 19, 2012 – CHILE – A 5.9 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of Antofagasta, Chile. The depth of the earthquake was 25 km (15.5 m) and was downgraded from a 6.2 magnitude quake by the USGS. The epicenter of the earthquake was 54 km (33 miles) SW of Taltal, Antofagasta, Chile and 849 km (527 miles) N of Santiago, Chile. This is the third moderate earthquake to strike along the Chilean coastline in five days. A 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck off the southern coastal region of Aisen, Chile on May 18. A 6.2 earthquake also struck near Tarapaca on May 14. Tension continues to mount on the very dangerous Nazca plate which is violently diving or undergoing subduction under the South American plate. The absolute motion of the Nazca Plate has been calibrated at 3.7 cm/yr east motion (88°), some of the fastest absolute motion of any tectonic plate. The subducting Nazca Plate, which exhibits unusual flat-slab subduction, is tearing as well as deforming as it is subducted under the land mass. No tsunami warnings were issued with today’s 5.9 earthquake and there have been no reports of damage or injuries. Today’s earthquake, however, is one more indication tension along the Nazca tectonic plate is building. This region should remain alert for the potential occurrence of a stress-break or sizable release of seismic tension that could be manifested in a major earthquake. –The Extinction Protocol

    I have dreamt about an earthquake that would strike around that area some time
    It was a 9.8 magnitude earthquake in Valparaiso

    Alvin, I would like to know if the stress is released by a major earthquake then how long there will be no earthquakes in this region?

      Indeterminate, Smile. It may fester awhile and we may see a sudden eruption or we could have a major earthquake near the Cocos plate involving Central America which could alleviate some of the stress. However, since we are having quakes along a horizonal corridor of the plate, it looks like it is major plate tension involving Nazca. What we can determine at this point is the plate is agitated and is spasmodically responding to obstructive pressure. It the tension doesn’t dissipate, there will be sudden thrust which could be something in the upper magnitude seismic spectrum. Let’s all pray this doesn’t happen but in the meantime, let’s stay alert. The people of Chile are so dignified and cool-headed and understand that they live in a high-risk seismic zone and are great at disaster planning and mitigation. What more could you ask for under the circumstance?

    Alvin,i’m not sure what your beliefs are in modern day society. or if you agree/believe that we are all ran by the Elite/Illuminati. But there is something i recently found out. Hollywood has just released a comedy movie called The dictator. and it’s all about terrorism in the US, and it seems like there is allot of Subliminal Symbology that has been encoded in this film. they make a Complete mockery out of 9/11, Why are they doing this? Perhaps making it seem like a joke, so that the American people are unsuspecting of the Demonic plans that the Government are working on?? I don’t know, i just get bad vibes from this Hollywood film in particular. After all, most Hollywood movies are designed to programme people, as well as the music Industry. What is your thoughts on all of this?

    To make it simpler the question is, Do you think there is some kind of Mass Deceit taking place that involves the Elite, and the Chess game they call war??

      Definitely. You are right. There is an agenda and undercurrent running in and through mass media. I’ve lectured on symbolism for years in music, advertising and film and include a lot of it in my first book. Your observation that it permeates Hollywood and the entertainment industry is correct.

      I didn’t even know about that move until you mentioned it. Earthquakes over the 9.5 spectrum are certainly possible, though exceptional as that will probably be an indicator that something much more is at play here with the Earth than seismic stress release. At that point, we should all probably be concerned about the geological rearrangement of the face of the planet.
