Hello Alvin, I’m reading you every day and I just want to say THANK YOU for your work and your book. I’m a french speaker from Quebec province, so my english is a little bit bad……So, what are you thinking about the 2 eq in WY today? And do you have an idea of why USGS did not publish them?????

    • Sure thing, Andrée. That’s a good question. We noticed data was also expunged when there was a swarm in Long Valley. Maybe they don’t want to alarm anyone because I’m sure the site gets flooded with inquiries and hits anytime there are quakes near a super-volcano caldera. Other than that, your guess is as good as mine as to a motive. The quakes seem to vanish more in regards to the vicinity of the super-volcanoes more than most.

I’m glad you found us and thanks for the link and for being here.

When I checked the link above a couple of hours ago the WY quake was listed…. now it is not! I’m thinking someone does not want this info out for the public.
