Earthquake swarm on Iran-Iraq border continues

April 20, 2012 – IRAN – 5.1 and 5.0 earthquakes are the latest in a swarm of about six earthquakes that have erupted along the convergent plate boundaries between the Arabian and Eurasian plate. The swarm is about 528 km (328 miles) SW of TEHRAN, Iran. The epicenter of the earthquakes is located on the convergent boundary where the two tectonic plates are colliding along the border of Iraq and Iran in what’s known as the Alpide Belt. Three moderate earthquakes have erupted along the epicenter in less than 20 hours. Most of the volcanoes in Iran lie in the north and south of the country, so this region outside the Tigris River is not considered a high-risk region for magma intrusion. Might this be the precursor to some event? We will have to wait and see. –The Extinction Protocol

    Hello Alvin,
    With so many earthquakes and volcanoes erupting, could it be possible that the earth is actually expanding in size (i.e., a bigger ball) for a future unknown plan of God?

    If you zoom in on this area with google earth, it is obvious at first glance there has been some unimaginable quakes in this area shifting huge mountains miles. Look at the fault and the rock types, then look north east along the fault. Just imagine sliding the southern side of the fault counter clockwise. Scary.

    It is possible that we could be seeing the beginning of an act of God on the behalf of Israel? On some web sites, it seems that Israel is ABOUT to do something.
    But then, it always seems that Israel is about to do something regarding the nuclear issue in Iran. There has been some bad earthquakes in this area.
    But, one earthquake from God could solve this issue.
    Just a thought……………..

    I’m bit leary about all these earthquakes occurring in same region. especially when it is very unusual.. I can’t help but wonder if it is result of underground testing of nukes that may cause these swarms of earthquakes? Of course God has a plan! It’s just playing it out as it is supposed to be.

      The USGS and other nations’ agencies can tell if these are nuclear bombs going off or natural earthquakes. Has something to so with the way the waves of vibrations move through the ground. That is part of the reason a “quake” can appear on the USGS earthquake page and then disappear – a human being reviews the “quake” and can see by the way the waves move through the earth there, and in nearby areas, that it was an explosion – in a mine, quarry, bomb, nuclear test, or whatever, and not an earthquake. I think this is how they also tell what kind of earthquake it was, subduction or slip, etc.

    Is something going on in the Iran-Iraq border?
    It’s a lot of earthquake activity there now, looks like a big one is coming

    Thank you for posting this. I noticed this yesterday, but was struggling with a medical issue and didn’t get a chance to ask you about it. With everything that is happening in the Mid-East, it seems that every time man moves one of his “chess pieces”, God moves one of His. This are interesting times we are living in.

    Time was set according to the earth quake in Uzziahs day it was so sever. The scars I believe can still be seen along the Iraq / Iran border were there is a shear cliff about 75′ where the earth has dropped sometime historically – Just imagine todays world after hundreds of thousands of millions of barrels of oil and gas have been bleed off in this part of the world releiving the earthe of much pressure. This release of pressure will be the catylist that cause the most sever earth quake that the world will ever see. Ishmael and his oil will be be the cause of his own destruction

    Have a look at Myanmar and Phuket Thailand quakes and aftershocks on the link from Thailand Seismology Bureau I just posted under the Thailand article. Looking back to 2011, something is going on in Myanmar.

    Now look at Sumatra and Iran/Iraq.

    Ibn Fudail reported on the authority of his father that he heard Salim b. ‘Abdullah b. ‘Umar as saying: O people of Iraq, how strange it is that you ask about the minor sins but commit major sins? I heard from my father ‘Abdullah b. ‘Umar, narrating that he heard Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying while pointing his hand towards the east: Verily. the turmoil would come from this side, from where appear the horns of Satan and you would strike the necks of one another…(sahih muslim)
