Mexico’s sleeping Popocatépetl volcano awakens again

April 16, 2012MEXICO CITYPopocatépetl, the nearly 18,000 foot volcano that hovers like a sentinel on the southeastern fringe of Mexico’s capital, awakened again Sunday, punctuating an especially shaky seismic season. Popo, as the mountain is widely called, spewed at least seven exhalations overnight Saturday and through the day Sunday, sending vapor, smoke and gas billowing into the clear sky. The most serious occurred just after 9 a.m. Sunday, sending a vapor cloud a mile into the air. Mexico’s National Disaster Prevention Center issued a precautionary warning to residents, advising them to stay alert for a worsening situation and to keep at least seven miles away from the volcano’s crater. The service predicted continuing “moderate exhalations, some with ash, sporadic low to moderate explosions with likely burning fragments emitted close to the crater, and flaming magma within the crater visible at night.”-Chron

First, 80 to 85% of all volcanism occurs under the sea, so humans would have no way of knowing how much volcanism is really increasing on the planet. Even though they are a lot of volcanoes erupting; the few volcanoes going off on land only represent about 8% of the story. Less than 10% of the space in the oceans has been explored by humans according to Marine Biology.org. http://marinebio.org/marinebio/facts/

Despite what some think, we have not just crawled out of the Stone Age into the internet & Twitter instant message century. Ham radios, fax machines, wires, telephones, teletypes (were used in 1908), telegrams have spanned the world for more than a century. There are records of meteor showers and comets going back 1,500 years in China. Pliny, the Younger’s detailed description of the eruption of Versuvius in 79 A.D. is just one example of how men catalogued what was happening to the planet. People have always recorded what they’ve seen transpiring in nature throughout history just like they do today. It’s nothing but human arrogance and stupidity that presupposes in this technical age of marvels, news has just traversed across the planet. This is the very reason why science will fail the world in the moment of trial and the knowledge of man will be cast to the earth as a broken censor.

      God bless

      • Yes, Paul says something to that effect, in the book of Romans, chapter 1:18-23: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.”

Mexico raises volcano alert level after rumbling
“The alert is now at the highest level of the yellow stage; the next stage is a red alert, which presumably would prompt evacuations to begin.”
