I have lost lots of respect for all things Swedish after the stunt they pulled with Julian Assange. Right now, I hope their cashless society crashes and burns.

Well, I´m a Swede and I couldn´t agree more. Except that its not “sweden”, it´s the few persons with power. We ( the people) have not had any chance to say something against all this. My grandmother can´t see the numbers on a credit card, but now that is all she is gonna get, cause baks simply stop handeling cash. I too hope cashless society crashes and burns. And I´d like to be part in doing it. Soon they´ll put creditcardchips in your arms! We cant even take the bus with cash anymore. Now you´ll also need to have a phone to pay in larger cities. Democracy is fake. That´s the sad truth.

OMG, and I thought until recently that Sweden was an enlightened society, an example to the rest of the world. Sad, but the same thing is occurring here in Canada with a dopey right wing government that believes that the world was created 6000 years ago. (Fundamental Christians).

This boggles my mind. How did the people of Sweden allow this to happen? Removing cash from a society puts all of the power into the hands of banks and credit card companies. How is the average person now suppose to save an emergency fund in case the system crashes? This is ludicrous and big-brotherish scary: Removing all power from the citizens and people. I don’t like this.

well this is what we sheeple need a kick up the back side and do something about it. We need to introduced a new form of currency created by local communities for local communities. Remove all printing power from the banksters. For all I care let them have the worthless paper/plastic/electronic currency.

It is not the Swedes choice. It is their GOVERNING BODIES decision. Much like America- We DO NOT choose ANY of this mess- it has been SET UPON US unwillingly through RIGGED ELECTION, SENATE SEATS BEING SOLD LIKE REAL ESTATE, MURDER OF FREEDOM OF RELIGION & ALL FREEDOMS. We are free IF we do what they SAY.

Imagine not being able to even ride the bus or buy a bottle of milk for your children, due to a “glitch” that has caused the Money Department to freeze your accounts…

I am glad to see that all the responses are against a cashless world. I find the the idea really bad and will result in some people, for example old people, the poor etc being excluded from many everyday activities.

“We’re sorry sir, your Swedenstalag money card has been declined due to unpaid tax on (insert anything here)…”

“But, I need to buy milk and diapers for my baby”

“Sorry sir, you can discuss that with Colonel Klink and Sergeant Schultz when you get to the camp.”
