So what is the solution? People in third world countries are continuing to procreate even though they do not have the means to responsibly feed and support the children they are bringing into this world. As the human population continues to increase on the planet, the demands on feeding this ever increasing number of people and their children will increase commensurately. The U.N. and the world needs to put this issue as a top priority.

this is the lie that is repeated perpetually. There IS ENOUGH to feed people. The solution is to change the way we live and eat. Having enough for all means a lot LESS meat and a lot more grains and veggies. Producing meat consumes a lot of resources that can be used to feed people instead of animals.

Of course, people in America don’t want to hear that. It’s easier to insist that someone else not have kids than to make a sacrifice themselves. Nevermind the fact that we’d probably be a lot more healthy if we ate less meat.

Jesus Christ will intervene soon and remove all obstacles(evil and his followers). God will put His plan in place. Fairy tale? I believe not ! It will happen whether you believe it or not.

Please understand people that this has nothing to do with people being lazy and awaiting a hand out. This has to do with the WORLD SYSTEM failing miserably. So much money around the world is going towards military expenditures because every country is becoming paranoid of the others that there is no funds for feeding those who have hit drought or other adverse conditions. I could not help but notice that Afghanistan was one of the countries mentioned. This makes me wonder how many souls would have been won over to freedom by the example of fighting evil with good instead of violence with more violence. Many people around the globe give what they can to help feed the poor but it is often stolen by selfish ” governments”. The only thing many of these people have are each other and yeah, ok, the copulate, so what ? Just because someone else is reasonably wealthy does not authorize them to force the issue of population control. Sometimes having a family that can survive means having better income later as more people in the household can help grow food etc. Mariel; you are correct that a combination of prayer and action is needed. Remember in the Gospel; the apostles said to Jesus…and where are we going to get enough food to feed all of these people ? Then they found a boy with five loaves and two fish and all 5,000 + people had plenty to eat and they scraped up 12 baskets of leftovers. With God’s help it will get done.

This is the result of totalitarian agriculture, which I first heard about in the Story of B. Population increases as food is available in larger quantities. Then, Empire (UK, US) come sweeping in (to spread “democracy” and make lots of money) and take over and monoculture the agriculture variety of a country so they are no longer self-sufficient. Destroy the food base with worthless soybeans, corn and wheat, none of which was originally for human consumption, and are now all GMO anyway. Toxic waste. Instead of honoring sovereignty and letting nature take its course, the outcome of mass starvation is inevitable, almost like somebody wanted all this misery on purpose. And no amount of do-gooder organizations is going to “stop hunger”. What a crock. Yankee go home is the real answer.

Well, you can sit around on your thumbs wishing the world turns into a better place or you can go out and do something. One option is to join Peace Corps and teach people how to feed themselves. I was in Peace Corps/ El Salvador. My group taught farmers how to turn sorghum into silage so their dairy cows would produce milk during the dry season. That has been one of PC’s best programs because it increased milk production, increased incomes, and allowed families to afford to buy better food. Twelve of us taught more farmers how to increase their wealth and feed production in two years than the govt.’s 74 Ag Extension agents had previously. Don’t say “woe is me” or “poor, dumb people”. Those people work hard and have large families so they can work their fields in order to feed themselves. Get up and do something! Don’t just mouth words. Anyone can do that.

It is truly sad, if you where to take the billions that have been spent based on a couple of rigged computer models, and put that money into developing very safe Gen IV based nuclear reactors, and continue the work of GE on desalinization technology we could get water for irrigation to thousands.

A side benefit of that energy would be to allow millions of people to enter the 19th, and 20th centuries with refrigeration and other basic life saving staples.

One question was pondered above, why do people continue to have children when they can’t feed them. It is simple, they know no better. And they aren’t going to listen to any of us on this web site pounding our fists on a desk.

Simply put if you look at the US, Canada and Western Europe birth rates are down, WAY down, why? Basically electronic distractions, TV, games, light to read by, what every your past time of choice is, somewhere along there you produce something to be able to afford to consume stuff you like, and most of that requires power. Without power at the wall, my job would not exist, and I would have trouble finding means to feed my family.

Now, the ironic part of my suggestion is, the very act of *greatly* increasing the available water for irrigation in arid areas, could actually increase water vapor in the air in those locations to create clouds that would not exist otherwise, thus actually creating human caused climate change 🙂

Yeah, I said it, a gas this is only 0.039% of the atmosphere, in my somewhat read opinion does not alter the climate in a measurable manor. I am not saying humans don’t have an impact on the planet, just not there. Further there is far more CO2 coming from Volcanoes that human activities.

Further, no other force in the history of man has increased the well being of the masses more than capitalism, where it has flourished so have the people. Tell me the starving people in the “third world” would not kill to be poor in the United States? Where being poor very often includes climate control, food, TV, basic/emergency medical, and shelter.

The hard reality is that there are just too many people on this planet. Most have no knowledge, or inclination to start producing their own food supply, and are dependent on others for their food. Obviously the adults are getting enough nutrients to procreate – as always its the children who suffer.
Humans unfortunatly are a plague – if we were another speices such as rats or mice, steps would be taken to exterminate some to bring the population back in balance. However, the earth is providing its own solution for us all. Isn’t ths what the extinction protocol is all about????

Place yourself 100-200 years in the past in the US. Family sizes of 8-15 people were very common. Why, because it took a lot of people to produce food. It didn’t come out of the 7-11, Starbucks, Krogers, or Wal-Mart. You are promoting the idea these people know not what they are doing by having kids, when our advanced society got here by going through the same stages. Children suffered her in those last 100-200 years ago, but if you don’t know anything else is that really suffering. Sure, those starving to death have it rough, but didn’t our forefathers. Just because you have a cell phone, TV in every room, one car for every driver in the family, a microwave, and a 28 cu. ft. Feb 15.12 I interviewed Dr. Dain Heer Author of ‘Being You Changing the World’ and teacher of ‘Access Consciousness’ process tools. Dain offered a good point that I would like to share.

Rather than resist what is whether it is war, hunger, extreme deception, economic manipulation, Dain suggests asking a question. Asking questions opens doors to new possibilities. ‘What would it take to change this?’ or ‘What’s right about this I am not getting’ or ‘What else is possible?’ FULFILLMENT is up to the Universe not us.

Ask a question and pay attention to how energy feels after asking. Feeling light signals it is your truth, feeling heavy signals it is not your truth. Once you ask DO NOT look for answers, instead be ‘aware’ of clues that begin to reveal new possibilities. After asking a question use this clearing statement: ‘Everything I contributed to this situation with and without my awareness, I now un-create and destroy it all. Right and Wrong, Good and Bad, POD and POC, All Nine, Shorts, Boys and Beyonds.’ [trade marked]

  28. The ‘solution’ is population control. It’s just plain stupid to keep (over) populating the planet with more and more people. Our resource problems (soil, water, land, oil, wood, even air) are all human-caused “crisis”. The planet has done nothing wrong — but humans have. The root cause of all human misery is over-population (and greed), which has led to resource wars, depletion and all other human ills.

The efforts to “address this problem” by financial or resource means simply avoids the root cause. Only by addressing the root cause of human instigated problems, can anything be resolved.

Putting more people on this planet is a sign of insanity, nothing in nature replicate our destructive ways and egocentricism. Either we control population, or nature will. This has happened many, many times before, the so-called “lost civilization” all virtually collapsed because of over-population and resource depletion. The modern world is not immune from this (obviously), since starvation and hunger as as bad as any time in all of human history. Despite ALL of our so-called technical wizardy and alleged ‘expertise’ and all of our science and alleged ‘intelligence’, we express extreme cognitive dissonance on what the problem is.

Well, duh! TOO MANY PEOPLE putting TOO MANY DEMANDS UPON PLANETARY RESOURCES. Pretty damned obvious. But the technophiles will swiftly point to how we can “manage” our way to ever higher population levels, which utterly ignores the exponential function (Albert Bartlett) and finite resources.

We are now facing entropy on a scale which will truly scare any intelligent human. Sustainable population levels DO NOT rely upon our wizardry, but upon the natural renewable cycles of the planet’s biosphere. This is a basic law of nature, which we impolitely have chosen to ignore.

We will collapse because we cannot restrain ourselves. The present level of collapse is well underway as evidenced by the falling dominoes across the planet. This is simply nature’s way of culling the stupid humans.

We are NOT bigger then nature (thankfully) and would do well to realize that our ‘place’ on this planet is not to dominate everything else, less we ourselves be wiped out.

But I’ve fallin on hard times and I have trouble feeding myself and my family as well. So I share my dream hoping that someone who has the means to acheive such a large scale production of food will see and make my dream a reality and help the world’s hungry.

With regards to population control, may I offer another perspective?

Foretold as 2012 by many indigenous cultures, the non physical part of us that gives life to our physical body referred to Soul or Light, has a RARE opportunity to evolve out of this 3rd dimension world of rigid beliefs, into 4th and 5th dimension where thoughts come into form in the moment. This evolution is a process that is happening now. The more we live from the heart and remain positive the easier our transition.

This evolution accounts for what people perceive as ‘over population’. The time is at hand to release mistaken beliefs, inflexible rules and limitations, which is low vibration energy that cannot follow into the higher dimensions.

New edge scientists suggest this planet can easily handle 10 + billion people, when we awaken beyond illusions of separation from our true whole Self, Earth, one another, powerlessness, scarcity, fear and other negativity. I truly believe this will be more apparent in coming months.
