6.1 magnitude earthquake strikes near Vanuatu as aftershocks continue

February 5, 2012VANUATU –  A 6.1 magnitude earthquake struck near the isle of Isangel near Vanuatu, in the South Pacific. The earthquake was one of the deepest in the most recent swarms to strike this region of the Ring of Fire. The earthquake had a depth of 163 km (101 miles) below the ocean floor and no tsunami warnings were issued for the region. –The Extinction Protocol

    We heard a loud rumbling like thunder around 5am in Torrevieja, Spain, and my husband said
    the mirrors and windows shook!!! Very scary.
