No one should be surprised, on the results of today’s UN report.
I say that OF COURSE they are working on developing WMD’s …. The bigger question is, HOW to deal with them.

I am not so sure, that a preemptive strike would be a good idea. 😦
I think that perhaps the only practical way of ‘dealing’ with this threat, is for the United States to reinstate the ‘M.A.D.’ policy of the Cold War…. against Iran.

IAEA report: Iran working to produce a nuclear bomb
Long-awaited report by UN nuclear agency says Tehran has continously worked toward a nuclear weapon since 2003; diplomatic source in Vienna tells Haaretz: ‘This is the most damning report ever published by the IAEA.’
VIENNA — Iran is suspected of conducting secret experiments whose sole purpose can only be the development of nuclear weapons, the U.N. nuclear atomic energy agency said in a report Tuesday.

..While some of the suspected secret nuclear work can have peaceful purposes, “others are specific to nuclear weapons,” according to the report by the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency.

It is possible there are pre-positioned sleeper agents throughout the world (The Soviets allegedly did it) to perform acts of extreme terrorism in population or military centers.
The population is a better target because of ease of target and the outcry for more security
will erode personal and civil liberties. We will become prisoners in our own homes. It seems that we are pretty close to that now.

It is rather late in the game now to strike Iran. The Bush Administration wasted a valuable opportunity to do so while the bulk of our Air Fleet was in the area, so I believe that the talk of the current administration is hockey talk and the Israelis conducting a 1st strike? Well, I would be surprised. Then, on the other hand, we are pulling our troops out at a rapid paste from Iraq.

Would not lose any sleep over this………………

      Hi, Dennis,
I agree, that it is ‘too late in the game’ to do a SUCCESSFUL preemptive strike, at this point.

However, I am not counting on Bibi Netanyahu, to be sensible.

Much damage has been done throuought history, by leaders who were insensible, dragging their nations down the wrong path, along with them.

We can only hope, that other world leaders, and his own cabinet ( and even members of the Israeli military & the Mossad !! ) lean on him hard enough, and talk him out of this.

I would not rule out, that Israel might perform a preemptive strike, ‘unilaterally’.
The problem is, that any such (so-called) ‘unilateral’ strike, will quickly drag the United States and it’s allies, into the conflict… even if it’s against their wishes.

You would not lose any sleep over this? Really??? That is utterly naive and foolish.

I once took a European history class where the professor concentrated on making sure we never forgot one point. Every major war in the world is preceded by a military build up of one sort or the other, increasing rhetoric, and leaders taking stands from which they can no longer back down. coupled with some trigger event no one forsaw. Only this time, it is not a line of soldiers, or tanks and planes and cannons. It is nuclear and it is going to bring on the worst destruction the world has ever known. There is no solution for this situation unless Iran’s leadership collapses from within. The only hope is prayer and I hope you are praying fervently these days.

    • I agree Dennis E, I’m not losing any sleep over this either. I’ve read the Book and I know how it ends.

Could this turn into Ezekiel 38? Possibly, but I don’t think it will be this time. Of course that’s just my opinion. Could this lead to war? Possibly. Could this just be sabre rattling? Possibly. Unfortunately, we are just spectators and have no voice on how it ends. Should we be prepared for any and all eventualities? Definitely. As for me, I’m prepared, so I’m just going to sit back and watch this global, actually cosmic, chess match.

maybe we should take a deep breath here. After all, the IAEA was the same agency that said Iraq had WMDs. I was in that impoverished country for over 3 years total……NO WMDs to be found. lol
C’mon! we can’t possibly have forgot about Hans Blix! Those guys might as well wear clown suits when they go in for their “inspections.” There is a serious PSY-OP going on with western minds…..just because someone has a fancy title, doesn’t mean they are honest. Just watch CSPAN once in a while.
I do have a question though. Considering how much we spend on defense every year, couldn’t we take one or two years worth of that budget and create an impenetrable defense system on our borders? Seems to me, we would have plenty of notice if there was a launch, and it’s all automated anyway. Israel could do the same. We also might consider that Iran has strong ties to Palestinian terror groups. Would they sacrifice them in the fallout of a strike on Israel?
Something tells me peace never really has been the goal. Too much corporate greed feeding off the limitless funding of the war machine…..

  14. There are enough leaders of both Nations addicted to power and money. As long as there is a petty possibility to gain power and money and influence, this leaders will not hesitate to start this war. There is no reason on both sides. Normal people could not change a thing in the past. The social movement in Israel and the political movement in Iran did not bring any reforms and improvements. Decades of peace talks and a decade of sanctions did not bring any betterment. If there is a war, and it looks like, there is no way to stop them. —As I see it, this war will drag in all other country’s because of alliances and pacts into it.

My father, born 1911 (lawyer) well read – I remember his talking when I was just a kid in the 60’s about the mid-east. He always said that if we ever get over there we will never get out and that would lead to WW3. Much of what he had to say has came true.

The only way that the western powers will be forced to desist from interfering with IRAN is a threat of a good nuke in their capital city . So the Apartheid state of Israel can have 400 nuclear devices but Iran can’t have any becasue they are islamic ? Are you serious ? History proves that the apartheid state is the agrressor all the times . I wish Iran all the best of luck , the sooner the government of that country demonstrates possession of nuclear weapon the sooner it will be left alone . Think of North Korea and MAD . Nuclear assured destruction . If Israel is so desperate to fight Iran then it should do it alone , and not seek help for military adventures .

Iran can win a war against Israel, the United States and England easily and with one hand tied back… Iran has every right to have a clandestine nuclear program because Israel has had one for over 30 years. Iran has never attacked another country, Israel on the other hand has a long history of attacking other countries and stealing lland from its neighbors. Iran is the only country in the world that has not a Rothschild controlled central bank… That’s the reason why Israel has ben given its marching orders to seek an attack on Iran. Israel is a deranged suicidal nation, we can expect the most insane behavior. Iranians are ready to bring down their theocratic leadership, but this constant threats from Israel and its Zombie states, the United States and England, has kept that from happening because such threats force Iranians to rally around their leaders no matter what.

From my point of view a first attack could crush western economies(mainly through stock markets) Iran’s economy can easily sell its oil to china, in fact is closer than other countries, so how long western economies would sustain a militar campaing in middle east? Besides, it should be considered that Iran is not alone and retaliation is assured, even if EUA managed to destroy all the iranian’s ballistic.
The time is over, a strike is not a solution, but if western countries let the iranians go further they could develop ICBM with capacity to reach every nation in the world(as north corea)…what a dilemma!

world war 3 here we go!!

    • IN all fairness, I would imagine we have detailed sattelite photos of all installations already targeted, and so would Israel, we have operatives from other nations already in Iran, gathering yet more intel It needs to happen, and even if we hit them hard, I think Israel has the same info on Hexbollah and Hamas right now, and to stop syria, they would level damascus..and have the capability and the will to do so…

From sodamn Insane of course…..I don’t know how far back DEBKA archives go, but google should have some kind of screen shots which will give everyone info on this…
