World’s most powerful laser to tear apart the vacuum of space

October 31, 2011LONDONA laser powerful enough to tear apart the fabric of space could be built in Britain as part major new scientific project that aims to answer some of the most fundamental questions about our universe. Due to follow in the footsteps of the Large Hadron Collider, the latest “big science” experiment being proposed by physicists will see the world’s most powerful laser being constructed. Capable of producing a beam of light so intense that it would be equivalent to the power received by the Earth from the sun focused onto a speck smaller than a tip of a pin, scientists claim it could allow them boil the very fabric of space – the vacuum. Contrary to popular belief, a vacuum is not devoid of material but in fact fizzles with tiny mysterious particles that pop in and out of existence, but at speeds so fast that no one has been able to prove they exist. The Extreme Light Infrastructure Ultra-High Field Facility would produce a laser so intense that scientists say it would allow them to reveal these particles for the first time by pulling this vacuum “fabric” apart. They also believe it could even allow them to prove whether extra-dimensions exist. “This laser will be 200 times more powerful than the most powerful lasers that currently exist,” said Professor John Collier, a scientific leader for the ELI project and director of the Central Laser Facility at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in Didcot, Oxfordshire. “At this kind of intensity we start to get into unexplored territory as it is an area of physics that we have never been before.” The ELI Ultra-High Field laser is due to be complete by the end of the decade and will cost an estimated £1 billion. Although the location for the facility will not be decided until next year, the UK is among several European countries in the running to host it. –Telegraph

This is not good, these are the same demon directed physcophants that developed GMO, Chemtrails, HAARP, Scalar Plasma Directed Energy, DNA Destroying Vacines, NANO Technologies, Electronic Mind Control, Anti-Matter Research, now they will boil space.
Maybe the result will be space boiling us, and that would be just fine with them.

Let’s stab him with a needle. Let’s see of he swat’s the insect biting him. Goodbye Earth – thanks you idiots. There is a God – let’s not try to play games and possible burst the bubble we think is the universe.

Lets forget about all the turmoil in the world is and build a laser that will blast through the vacuum of space?

    1) Please let scientists find a star that is twice as bit as it should be.
    2) Please let Einstein be proven wrong in a popular way, breaking light speed will do it.
    3) New law: If the energy of the scrying process increases by a factor of ~100 (or 9000), the number of particles in the neat little table of subatomic particles (currently 15 or 16) will become a messy grid of at least 16*16 (256) new particles or maybe even 16^3.

My response was to the idea of tearing / boiling the fabric of space / the vacuum.

I have no problem with any beneficial applications developed / used . . . without harm, that is.

And AFTER we get everyone on the planet fed, sheltered, clothed & medically tended to.

Not billions, billion! not a great deal of money on a multi government level, read the whole story.. A lot of medical devices have been developed through our knowledge of atoms and look what that can do as well, sure nobody here would turn down treatment for a loved one on the grounds that the same technology could also be used to make bombs,or stop driving because people are drilling our earth to get that precious resource called oil or turn off your electricity and stop using it because it was nuclear generated. To many people are to quick to dismiss or to jump up on there high horses without really looking into the things they already take for granted.. your not going to cure the worlds problems by stopping progression or exploration. Hmmmm . . . wonder if you would feel the same if you or your children were starving to death?

I think the commenters that are criticizing the ones here who are speaking out against this project have maybe misunderstood exactly what we are saying.

I can’t speak for the others, but as for myself, & how it sounds to me like most/all of the others also are saying . . . I am not against scientific/technological advancement.

I just think that BEFORE we ‘advance’ . . . we take care of the basics here on planet Earth FIRST.

        That’s all.

AND . . . be ethical/prudent in what we develop & how we use what we develop.

I am not saying that just because something can be used dangerously or malevolently that we should not research/develop it AT ALL.

No . . . most/all things are not all good or all bad.

I’m just saying that we need to get our priorities straight & not take off into the future leaving our fellow man behind . . . starving to death without their basics needs being taken care of first.

While I did read about some benevolent applications on the project’s website, would draw the line at ‘tearing/boiling’ the fabric of space no matter what or when.

Some things are just too dangerous to experiment with . . . ESPECIALLY . . . when it would affect others.

Just because we CAN do something . . . doesn’t mean it’s OK do it.

I notice they don’t say they ARE going to tear/boil space, just that they COULD, & that the project is only being ‘proposed’ . . . however . . . further in the article they say it is due to be complete at the end of the decade.

I used to think that there were checks & balances that would ensure that authorities/governments/decision makers etc. would always do what was best for everyone . . . but in the Fall of 2009 I learned that this is just not true.

So now I speak up/draw the line/say ‘no’/say ‘no more’ (whichever fits the situation) when I come across something I feel is not right . . . & . . . I do what I can to remedy the situation or offer my thoughts/suggestions as to what might help/can be done.

The way I see it, we’re all in this together . . . so . . . the sooner we all come together to figure things out & get things done . . . the sooner we can all go out to play!

So . . . now that you’ve made it through this long post . . . who wants to go for an ice-cream????? ;-))

        I feel . . . I draw the line & say no

Unfortunately children starving to death is a political problem that and the unfair way wealth is distributed, To ask how would i like it if my children were starving to death is a big one as i pursue a very simple life without cars and not using electricity supplied by the grid i grow my own veg and raise my own meat so i live on the edge year by year.. yes you disagree at the present time i personally do not, if you wait for the right time it will never come, and i am sure that before this is done all safety aspects will be more than looked at, but i can also see some amazing things that could be realised by this sort of science and yes you say it may effect others well everything we do has that effect, like it or not.. i take your point and respect your opinion sometimes we have to agree to disagree , though your offer of ice cream is something we could both agree on, haven’t had ice cream for years ..

Techological advancement has brought you everything from refrigeration to vaccines and has enhanced the quality of life beyond our wildest expectations. Dave – Well said, though I can see not appreciated by the majority by the replies you have received. I was thinking along the same lines in fact. I think it’s just reading ” A laser powerful enough to tear apart the fabric of space” that makes this disturbing. Religion has always warred against science – for example: the list of those who earned the wrath of the Church reads like a Who’s Who of Science: Copernicus, Galileo, Descartes, Newton, Halley, Darwin, Hubble, even Bertrand Russell were all persecuted in some form or another & of course the brilliant Alexandrian philospher Hypatia who’s refusal to convert from Paganism into Christianity caused her to be stoned to death & then her body to be outraged & Bruno who was tortured then burnt at the stake for backing Galileo’s claims. I could go on all day – science too has had it’s fair share of martyrs.

How refreshing to think outside of the square.

Maybe people with wisdom could turn this outlandish project to something useful. A device to repel incoming space debris that is a constant threat. The power might not be so focused as to tear the fabric of the vacuum of space but still repel space debris.

With all the search for the fundamental elements of the universe have we have only found more and more strange particles/energies? My religious background inclines me to think this is guided by satan as a means to unleash upon mankind satan’s hatred of God and man in some form we can not even imagine.

We cannot control a volcano, an earthquake, a tornado, or a hurricane; then how are these unwise people going to control what they have no understanding of what they might cause.

Hopefully God will look after His own and the others will wander off inquest for their holy grail only to find it bitter to drink from.

Devotees of science cult are divorced from God and therefore are lost. The scripture warns people to reject other doctrines. Since we have The Word of God, God spoke these words to all generations and they are good doctrine to live your life by in love and devotion to God. Science cult prophecizes it is the benchmark to test truth, well this then becomes another doctrine and it’s followers are not lovers of Christ but conscriptees of another gospel and another spirit.
2Timothy 3:16-17 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Galatians 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
Do not be deceived by science cult, these are all the decievable wonders of the devil, and this doctrine is opposed to God. Therefore it must not be idolized or worshipped as a bench mark for truth. Science cult is a mythology and is based on days of alchemy and has no truth in it because it’s theories are ever changing and being modified to suit what is observable. Scripture states render your hearts to God by faith and everything will be provided for you. You therefore need not folllow a society of godless technocratic society of robots in a utopiann Orwellian global sodom. If you do not reject it now it will ensnare you and it will be too irresistible to reject once they start throwing the other bells and whistles of the satanic agenda technocratic machinery.

Rita – I completely agree that the military sector can be dangerous – I think that when nuclear capabilities were discovered they should have been destroyed, but we cannot live in fear of what “might” be. If scientists & philosphers & their theories throughout the ages had been recognized & lauded instead of them being banished, locked up, tortured or killed Man might not find himself in the horrid quandry he is in today. Who is to say had the Roman Church accepted Copernicus & Galileo’s theories yesterday that we might be able to prevent catastrophe today – that these discoveries could have been used for infinite good – who is to say that this laser is any different & may yet be Man’s salvation?
