Moderate quakes adding to western Pacific Plate tension

August 21, 2011 – AUSTRALIA – Moderate earthquakes continue to place an inordinate amount of seismic pressure on the western boundary of the Pacific tectonic plate. Global seismograms are registering dense black bands of seismic activity centered foremost in the region of the South Pacific pictured above in the large square- Vanuatu, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga-Kermadec. Other tension points include Japan and the Kamchatka and Aleutian region of Alaska to the north. –The Extinction Protocol

    So does this mean more potential volcanic activity? Will or can this set off larger earthquakes?

      That’s always a collateral effect from such large-scale seismic events, though oft the effect may come later… We will have to watch and wait. Clearly, the region is still very volatile from the recent spasm of activity so we should remain alert.

    Hello Alvin! Hoped you had a good weekend. Some of us have had a blogging spirit this weekend
    well, “an inordinate amount of seismic pressure on the western boundary of the Pacific tectonic plate” I looked up inordinate in webster’s New Dictionary and it means “excessive”.
    I was hoping it didn’t mean that because I am not taking the position that I am cheering on earth changes because I know that they will be terrible and many lives could be altered.
    But I hope that any pressure that is released from this seismic built up will not cause any harm to any person.

    Hi Alvin,
    Where can I find the map that has those seismic bands like the one’s you have above? Never seen them before on the USGS site, perhaps I’m not looking hard enough. If you could provide the link as to where it is, it would help me considerably with my mapping that I due, Thanks and God Bless you this day!!!

    Happy Sunday. Live south of Palos Verdes Peninsula, Long Beach, Ca. We had our jolt 18 August. My guess is tidal wave and its collateral damage from Aleutian Island earthquake will be our first California disaster. Compassionate detachment from samsara.

    Hi Alvin,

    This magetosphere shot from just now looks different than what I have ever seen.

    Looks like the poles have moved 90 degrees so that they are now at West & East.

    What do you think?
