TEPCO says it has lost contact with 143 nuclear plant workers

August 11, 2011TOKYO — Tokyo Electric Power Co (TEPCO) said Thursday that it has not been able to locate 143 individuals working to restore the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant since May. The utility said it has no idea if the 143 have been exposed to radiation and to what level. According to a report from TEPCO given to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, TEPCO hired many of the workers through subcontractors from all over Japan for limited periods and kept no records of their addresses. On any given day, TEPCO said it has had up to 1,000 workers on rotating schedules at the stricken power plant. Asahi Geino reported in May that subcontractors were hiring day laborers to work at the plant. The daily remuneration was three times that of regular day jobs if within the grounds of the reactor complex, and 1.5 times higher if within the wider area now restricted due to high radioactivity. While safety measures are in place to keep workers’ daily exposure to radiation within safe levels, claims for compensation due to sickness from overexposure are unlikely to be paid out, the magazine reported. –Japan Today

As so it continues…. this is horrible and what really upsets me is that I turned on the nightly news and they are talking about baby boomers getting face-lifts! This is during Dianne Sawyer’s eve program. Really?? Then they mention something about a plane that was “lost” – then focused on how fast it could travel – you could get from NY to CA in 12 minutes. Yeah! I mean, come on, today my cell phone is not working well, computer having problems…. the world really is splitting into two – dissolving in front of our eyes and it is not being reported Thank goodness we have this wonderful blog – thank you Alvin! Not sure how much longer we will be able to log on based on my technology problems today. Love and light to all that read and contribute here.

This is what passes for “Main Stream Media” nowadays. 😡

    TEPCO or FIASCO

Definition of fiasco: a complete and ignominious failure.

Men (and women) jump in to all manner of marvelous things, giving no heed to consequences when the unforeseen happens. Unfortunately, most will never learn. Hopefully as individuals we can learn.

Ditto science, politics, world finance. The list goes on.

Pray unto God through Jesus Christ for guidance in ALL things.

We had two news stories last week reported at the same time. One was the Fed. gov. were going to send one dozen refugee children to Malaysia ‘unacompanied’ (under the new refugee swap deal), their was a little uproar, but the bigger story was the live cattle imports to Malaysia. They were halted because the cattle were ‘stressed and not happy, very cruel’. Really, now figure that one out…….

I do see your point & do not agree with the Australian Government’s Malaysian solution to illegals entering the country, however the children were not going into brutal Indonesian abatoirs to be tortured & inhumanely killed.

If people in Japan are losing their hair in clumps….. Well, it is obvious we are talking about Severe radiation exposure.

I THINK WHAT WILL HAPPEN at some point, is that when these ongoing events in Japan start to ‘get out of control’ (aren’t they already?), and it will end up in the MainStream Media again……other countries / Governments, will start to pressure the Japanese government, to permit an international effort, to help manage the crisis.

We can’t possibly relocate all of Japan or the Japanese people. Where the Hell are they supposed to go ?? Are we to fence off the Japanese islands as a wasteland now ??
The only thing that will help at this point, is an INTERNATIONAL response from mankind, to help the Japanese to ‘seal off’ Fukushima, ‘as much as possible’.
