Sleepy NY hamlet sees homes teetering down a slope

May 18, 2011KEENE, NY – Weeks of relentless rain have destabilized a massive section of hillside in the Adrian’s Acres neighborhood in Keene Valley, which sits on the slopes of Porter Mountain. Town and state officials say an area roughly a half-mile wide has begun to shift, slumping downward several inches each day. One vacation home has already been condemned, and one other house evacuated. At least four more homes are threatened. Brian Mann was on Porter Mountain yesterday and has our story. –NCPR

I feel bad for the elderly and young knowing the onslaught of changes happening and to come. What can one do? I have spoken to others to not much avail. Has anyone else tried to reach others with any form of success? I guess it’s like planting seeds to some degree. As things get worse maybe they will listen.

A_lad: I understand how you feel. All we can do is talk it up without trying to force our realizations or beliefs on them. I’ve probably got more than a few thinking I am “doom and gloom person”. God reminded me that until He started opening my eyes to these things, I was somewhat blind myself.

I do keep telling, but try not to come on too strong or they will “turn a deaf ear” and ignore even more. As you say, maybe they will be more receptive as things get worse and they realize we aren’t completely crazy. God bless and try not to take it too personally.

I was talking with a friend of my son today and told him I am learning a lot about what is happening around the world on Extinction Protocol. Otherwise I would not hear about it. His parents came to Australia from Malta and he was aware of the quake they had recently. He is 40 the same as my son.

I was also telling him about the solar maximum coming up and how transformers around the world are exploding. I told him that one needs to be prepared. It just might not happen but there is no harm in being prepared. At the last minute can you imagine being stuck on long queues and then finding you cant buy something at present seemingly basic like candles and matches. Not to mention not being able to hop in the car and go anyway.

I said to him if I tell you then you will either think about it or you wont. If you tell 20 other people half of them might get prepared and the other half might say it will never happen. But A_lad, if you sow the seeds, you are planting the idea in people’s minds and as more things start to happen they will then be more prepared and more likely will act on it. God bless.

    Thank you Alvin.

I feel very blessed to have the understanding that I have. If I were to meet God, my maker, tomorrow, what excuse could I possibly come up with for not having shared my knowledge with others.

We need to remember that God teaches us but also gives us our freedom to choose. Satan on the other hand prefers to use force. That is why he was cast out of heaven.
