Quake swarm rattles the Virgin Islands- 20 quakes in 24 hours

April 13, 2011 VIRGIN ISLANDS – A 5.1 magnitude earthquake struck the Virgin Islands at a depth of 31 km and was followed by 20 aftershocks- the strongest of which was a 3.4. This is the 12th quake swarm to erupt on the planet within a week. The quakes along the Virgin Islands underscores the growing tension that appears to be mounting along the Caribbean plate.

    Hi Alvin,

I have noticed on seismogram of Yellowstone Caldeira, on Madison River http://quake.utah.edu/helicorder/ymr_webi.htm, you have few days with harmonic and rock crackling on Yellowstone, and you can retrieve the same thing on world seismogram.

    Great regards 😉
