6.0 earthquake strikes Babuyan Islands region of the Philippines

A 6.0 (5.9 downgraded) earthquake struck the Babuyan Islands of the Philippines at a depth of about 36.6 kilometers. The Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7100 islands. Most of these islands are of volcanic origin. There are 37 volcanoes in the Philippines, of which 18 are still active volcanoes. The 5.9 earthquake erupted off the coast of Laoag. The tension around Japan and in the Pacific Ring of Fire continues. This quake was followed by a 6.1 (5.8 downgraded) quake which struck off the east coast of Honshu Japan at a depth of 53 km. Update 1: On March 21, 2012 — a 5.4 earthquake struck Mindoro Philippines at a depth of 92 km, showing the deep pressures associated with the subduction forces now perturbing Japan with incessant aftershocks. This was immediately followed by a 5.1 earthquake off the east coast of Honshu Japan — now we see how the seismic dynamism is enlarging in radius around this quake-stricken area of Japan and why this will eventually lead to another strong catastrophic quake off the Japanese coast.
32.2 foot wave anomaly from the buoy alert near Shumagin Island of the Alaskan Aleutian Islands at 9 am CST.  This anomalistic high rise in sea-level height may be a precusor of seismic unrest.

I agree with Tyron… your site is the best. I tried another site, something like _____ ____ ___, if you said anything or posted anything that irritated the guy who started the site, he would delete your account straight away. It happened to me and a few other people I know. Very strange character. Yours is the best anyway, so thanks for the great work.
