2 day notice: Earth gets another close graze by newly discovered asteroid on March 4

March 4, 2013 – SPACE - A newly found asteroid will pass just inside the orbit of the Moon, with its closest approach on March 4, 2013 at 07:35 UTC. Named 2013 EC, the asteroid is about the size of the space rock that exploded over Russia two and a half weeks ago, somewhere between 10-17 meters wide (the Russian meteorite is estimated to be about 15 meters wide when it entered Earth’s atmosphere). 2014 EC was discovered by the Mt. Lemmon Observatory in Arizona on March 2. There is no chance this asteroid will hit Earth. 2013 EC will come within 396,000 kilometers from Earth, (246,000 miles, or around 1.0 lunar distance, 0.0026 AU. The Moon’s distance from the Earth varies between 363,104 km (225,622 miles) at perigee (closest) and 406,696 km (252,088 miles) at apogee (most distant point). Gianluca Masi from the Virtual Telescope Project had a live view of the asteroid when it was about twice the distance of the Moon, and a replay of that webcast is available below. “That we are finding all these asteroids recently does not mean that we are being visited by more asteroids,” Masi said during the webcast, “just that our ability to detect them has gotten so much better. This astronomer says that we are finding more asteroids today because of better technology. This statement is a coverup ! We had the same technology four years ago that we have today, and four years ago they were not finding all of these asteroids. The fact of the matter is that our solar system has moved into a denser part of the galaxy. We are moving through a galactic zone that has a higher density of gas, rock, radiation, ice, debris, dust, and all sorts of stuff. We saw what happened in Russia a few weeks ago. I think we can expect to see more of this and it will gradually increase like a snowball rolling down a hill as we move deeper into this galactic zone. All you can do is to prepare for the electrical grid to go down. When the event that took place in Russia a few weeks ago becomes and everyday occurrence around the world, the grid will not stand. What can you do? Prepare – Hope – Pray. You have no idea where these things are going to land.

  I get a feeling that there may be a few scientists severely lacking sleep currently. Russia’s asteroid jolted the awareness of so many as to how vulnerable ‘we’ can be and there seems to be an incredible number of the big (and some smaller) flying rocks being brought to our attention – what seems like almost daily/weekly.
  We are at nature’s/space’ mercy…let’s hope all we get is a graze or our ‘hair parted’ only from them and not a good thumping.

  If we really were “moving through a galactic zone that has a higher density of gas, rock, radiation, ice, debris, dust, and all sorts of stuff” we would be seeing evidence in the form of noticeably increased meteor activity every night, and we aren’t.

    Just wait Rusty. That will come. And remember, you can’t rely on conventional science news sources anymore for accurate information. And independent sky observers are limited in their ability. The objects that will cause the most damage will be the ones we have no “warning” about – just BAM! Pray.

  Brother, finding the grid down for more than a week will sober up a whole bunch of people, just spend some money if you have it on the basics to hold you over a three-month period.

Wow, another one. I wonder how many are going to be “too close for comfort”. And now I wonder if any are going to come in over a major city. Frightening thought, especially with no warning like the one in Russia.

Those who put their faith in science will get their faith shaken as the incident in Russia is likely to become the new normal and the mainstream media will run out of alibis on why these heavenly bodies headed our way keep being spotted on such short notices. Do we have better technology to spot these bodies as Mr. Masi claims or are we moving into a denser part of the galaxy? As the incident in Russia proved, we have been lulled into complacency by press releases that say everything is under control. In any case, this reminds me of the passage in the Book of Revelation that says “stars will fall from the heavens”. Was apostle John seeing asteroids raining from the sky?

According to the ‘American Meteor Society, there were:
463 reports of fireballs in 2005…
517 reports in 2006.
588 reports in 2007.
726 reports in 2008.
694 reports in 2009.
951 reports in 2010.
1630 reports in 2011.
2125 reports in 2012!

Last time this happened we had fireballs around the globe, but the “scientists” we’re trying to say it wasn’t related, I’m sick of these “experts” thinking we are stupid! Wonder if we’re going to see more, and get the same excuses.

I have to agree with John…we will see an increase in Asteroids, Comets and Meteors…The Book Of Revelation has already warned us of these events….It says….FIRE & BRIMESTONE SHALL RAIN FROM HEAVEN….It also says….A GIANT STAR FELL FROM HEAVEN…THE NAME OF THE STAR IS WORMWOOD….A THIRD OF THE SEA BECAME WORMWOOD….Jesus foretold his disciples…you will now when His return is near…..There will be an increase in Earthquakes, Famines, Pestilences…but He also meant an increase in every disaster that comes upon the Earth..Volcanic Eruptions, Solar Flares, Stronger Storms, Massive Sink-Holes, Major Droughts, The Death of many Animal Species etc… John like myself is a watchman on the wall….These events have increased and will continue to do so…we must be prepared…Spritually with the Lord..and Mentally within ourselves….
