Shallow 4.1 magnitude earthquake strikes California-Nevada border

June 23, 2012NEVADAA shallow 4.1 magnitude earthquake struck about 9 km (6 miles) from Incline Village. The epicenter of the earthquake was due east of Truckee just east of the Nevada – California state line.  People from all over the Reno-Sparks metro area and Carson City are telling News 4 that they felt the earthquake. The quake struck at 8:51pm. There was a 1.4 magnitude aftershock about five minutes after the initial earthquake; 20 minutes later there was a 1.8 aftershock. –My News 4

    Alvin, this is close to Lake Tahoe. If I am remembering correctly, you once commented on the possibility of an earthquake in this area that might trigger a landslide causing a tsunami in Lake Tahoe….just too scary.
