Moderate tremor strikes off the coast of Malibu, California

May 30. 2012 – MALIBU - A shallow magnitude 4.1 earthquake was reported Tuesday evening 30 miles from Malibu, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The temblor occurred at 10:14 p.m. Pacific time at a depth of 0 miles. According to the USGS, the epicenter was 35 miles from Port Hueneme, 35 miles from Channel Islands Beach, 37 miles from Oxnard and 53 miles from Los Angeles Civic Center. In the last 10 days, there have been no earthquakes magnitude 3.0 and greater centered nearby. –LA Times

Nothing to be of any concern is it only a baby kicking the side of its bed and not even a temper fit at that only the rumble of a train in the Bronx’s and the energ of a train going past in the train yard,

Alvin,
There has been about 61 (+/-) occurrences of Mag 5.8 or higher earthquakes since Jan 1, 2012 and I believe that, in the Biblical sense, they have been in “diverse” places.
Based on what you see, is this much activity normal?
I’ve been following your site for the past few month’s and truly appreciate your hard work and dedication to getting the word out. God bless and keep up the good work you do.

  Thanks The Watcher. It’s a run up to even more dramatic change so I see it as the wind-up. I think it represents a highly dynamic planet, others may disagree but let’s see where the trail of evidence leads.

Wanted to let you know, Alvin, that my mother finished your book. Gave it a definite 2-thumbs up. She doesn’t have any college education (only grade school in Austria) and she was able to understand it quite well. I’ll be reading it next.

Alvin,
We have people studying a particular volcano eruption and a particular earthquake, but do we have anyone with the intellectual power of penetrating through the particulars to the universal cause(s) driving these events. I am presuming, you are the closest I have read. Science loves to break the world into small pieces to study, but you will never understand the nature of a complex system by only knowing the pieces. What we are seeing just might be caused from changes happening at the quantum level being manifested at our level. Why is the earth appear to humans to be disturbed? If you keep asking the WHY question it does not take long before “I DON’T KNOW” is the response.

  They are significant because of their magnitude and how close they were to the California coastline.

Alvin,

From the USGS announcement I noticed that the quake occurred, “at a depth of 0 miles.” I’ve never seen that before. Does that mean the quake happened between 0 and .99 miles?

  It does happen- more often with volcanic tremors. What that means is the quake erupted less than 1 km in depth from the surface. Less than 3,000 feet or 0 to .62 of a mile.
