    Well that’s the official story of Bushehr, but what about all their SECRET nuclear bomb-building-programms, hidden away in mountains, under ground and away from all those supposed “inspectors”?

      Do you remember Iraq??? They didn’t have any weapons of mass destruction either but we invaded and it cost many American soldiers and Iraqui civilian lives and tons of our money. Do you really want to do it all over again by believing the same stupid lies just to they can start a war?

    Well they’ve finally done it I see.So what will the US say now then? Obviously they were making a nuke power plant after all,and not just a bomb.

    it never ceases to amaze me why our world will never be able to live in total peace,,if one nation is allowed to have an energy then all nations are allowed to have said energy,,if a nation intends to use an energy for ill purposes then it should be discussed then,,the united states is undoubtedly the biggest criminal and murderer in using an energy for ill purposes,,clean up our own backyard first before we tackle our neighbors yard.i dont trust iran at all but i do stand firm for equal rights.iran is definitely no worse than any other nation on this planet.remember that all nations and peoples stand condemned before god not just one or two but all.may his word remain in our hearts for ever.

      Amen to what you say! I’ve always thought about how hypocritical our USA is when it comes to nuclear development. Me thinks there’s a bit of propaganda going on. As far as I’m concerned, “what’s good for the goose, is good for the gander!” I also realize Iran is not innocent in this, but come on, who died and made us boss???

      “iran is definitely no worse than any other nation on this planet” best go back and read the Bible and see what it says about Persia’s role in the end times. It’s not good to make blanket statements based on logic and assumptions as opposed to informed evaluation based on knowledge and research.

      Ezekiel 38
      3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: 4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords: 5 PERSIA, Ethiopia, and Libya with them;

    This isn’t a war game on someone’s gameboy or whatever. It’s real nuclear war if we invade Iran! No one wins in this kind of war. Radiation everywhere… I can’t believe people are thinking this kind of war can be won by any side. It’s insane. Our President and congress is lying about Iran just like they did with Iraq. There are no secrets..there are no weapons of mass destruction. We go in and we fight Russia and China too. Nukes would have to be used because our Million man standing Armed Services cannot compete against Ten Million Chinese military and god knows how many Russians. We’d be overwhelmed strategically and logistically. No way to defend against that kind of man power with weapons. Our barrels would melt from so many bullets being used and it still wouldn’t be enough. Think!!!! We are awesome but even Bruce Lee couldn’t take on 100 men by himself. Tell President Obama to come back down to Earth and take a cold shower for a reality check. It’s a no win situation. Nukes would kill almost all of us and produce a nuclear winter for the rest.

    Alvin, do you have any info on where all the nuke plants are located around the globe and any info or theories as to what happens to them if suddenly everything electrical is not longer able to function (ie. mega solar storm or the loss in some way of magnetic polarity) ?

      It’s a regulated nuclear reaction; not controlled and what’s you’re regulating in the temperatures in the reactor core. When the temperature of the nuclear reactor exceeds the temperature of the heat removed from the cooling system, what’s known as a meltdown occurrs. Most reactors have back-up generators which kick in when power is interrupted- if they fail, disel generators are used as a secondary back-up system to continue to pump water to try and cool down the core. In Japan, both back-up systems failed and the reactor heat could not be contained which is why they began pumping sea water into the reactor housing units. Not only that, reactor walls were breached and radioactive material escaped into the environment. So to answer your questions, you create temperatures of the Sun to boil water and when the power supply is disrupted – you have an uncontrollable disaster on your hands. Some experts think the hot ‘reactor core’ is believed to have burned through the floor of the Fukushima plant which was 2 meters thick. If electicity failed planet-wide; this effect would happen globally unless the reactor was shut down prior to the event.

      Iran already had a water scarcity problem before they even built these plants: http://countrystudies.us/iran/74.htm

      So how would they even began to contain a meltdown?

    Why would anyone think that Iran would go to all the trouble to disperse & hide segments of their “Nuclear Program” if it’s sole goal was peaceful? Come People, use the ol’ noggin.

    They’ve been playing this game for a long time Rob…. Usually Iran would just ignore US and depend on China and Russia but the sanctions are starting to really hurt them…. Oil imports from Iran to China have dropped 21% during the first couple months of this year. That’s going to hurt Iran big time and I would think they would be wanting to negotiate.

    Thanks for the response Alvin, Looking at the map you posted only brought one thing to mind. All the reactors not on the map floating around the seven seas.

    Well on top of all this rediculous infrigment on the lives of millions of people (speaking of the lack of water to cool the reactors) we also have another developing issue with the Japan disaster… What if a super earthquake shook the region? Would we see what is happeing in Japan’s Reactor 4 happen with this one too? Look at what the news agencies are affraid to tell the public: that it only takes 1 reactor rod to kill 2.8 billion people and the reactor 4 which is on the verge of meltdown has 1,564 rods…. You tell me people… What were they thinking? Here’s a link to the latest report on the meltdown happening in Japan….
