January 24, 2012 – FIJI – A very deep 6.3 magnitude earthquake erupted along the seafloor off the island of Fiji. The earthquake had a depth of 582.8 km (362.2 miles). The epicenter of the earthquake was 759 km (472 miles) from SUVA, Fiji and about 1374 km from Auckland, New Zealand. The Fiji earthquake was the fourth consecutive earthquake to strike the planet in four days. Earlier today, a 6.2 struck off the coast of Chile, preceded by a 6.0 in the South Sandwich Islands the day prior, and a 6.3 magnitude earthquake in Chiapas, Mexico prior to that. The string of quakes comes both before and during a phase where solar activity and CME’s are colliding with the planet’s magnetosphere. –The Extinction Protocol

This happened on January 24th 2012? Like tomorrow? Should I warn Fiji?
The blog server time clock in UTC, same as the earthquake time on the USGS site —-

I have a sneaky suspicion, they already know…
Could there be a connection between the surge of large earthquakes in the past four days and the recent surge of large CME’s from the sun? There was also the eruption that happened a few days ago that was also earth bound. I know that we have surges of large earthquakes when the sun activity is low but I have seen in the past the two happen together as well.
There is a correlation; scientists just don’t know what it is. It could be secondary effect based on the reaction of the planet’s magnetosphere to the solar storms…but there is an acasual relationship.
There is a correlation & the scientists do know it….
I’m sure they do…but no one is waiting around for a publication or peer review. That’s why we have sight observation.
Oh yes, scientists do know Alvin!
Those chosen ones who know what is going on are not allowed to talk.
Don’t let that stop you from visiting Fiji. Everyone should visit Fiji, the worlds happiest
and friendliest people and a beautiful part of this living planet.
Yes, Erika – these earthquakes are very deep and other than their location, has little present bearing on the idyllic beauty of the islands. Thanks for the note and I hope more of us get a chance to take in the sights.
peace and blessings,
Alvin
absolutely want to see Fiji. Don’t worry what will happen will happen there is NOTHING you can do about it. I would pray before I head out there for a safe trip. Other than that you are powerless.
We should live our lives in concert with the change unfolding around us but certainly not in fear of avoiding what it may or may not effect. As someone once said, “A life lived in fear is a life half lived.”
so, is 362 miles deep for an earthquake? that is a 3 hour drive!
All earthquakes at the Fuji arc are very deep events. Not uncharacteristic at all…
