Death toll from Dengue fever outbreak in Pakistan climbs to 357

November 13, 2011LAHORE, PakistanDengue claimed two more persons, including a woman, on Saturday, taking the death toll in the City to 357. Besides taking lives of two persons in a day, the deadly virus continued to force the Lahorites to approach public sector hospitals and private clinics for preliminary tests, confirming 55 new cases and as such taking the overall tally to 32721. Out of 55 new dengue cases, 11 were tested positive at Mayo Hospital, 10 at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, 06 at Services Hospital and 03 at Jinnah Hospital while 25 cases were reported from different private healthcare centers in the City. The Health Department said that as many as 69 new dengue cases have been reported in Punjab. –The Nation
