Kinetic: Five M-class flares unleashed from Sun in 24 hour period

November 6, 2011 – Sunspot AR1339 is crackling with M-class solar flares, unleashing at least five of them in the past 24 hours. The blasts have been coming with such thick frequency that photographer Randy Shivak of Elyria, Ohio, was able to catch one in action on Nov. 5th: “Looking like iron filings around a bar magnet, sunspot group 1339 showed itself in the throes of a solar flare,” says Shivak. Even bigger eruptions are possible before the weekend is over. AR1339 has a delta-class magnetic field that harbors energy for X-class flares.     The sunspot is turning toward Earth. Don’t think I like the sound of this one. Could this cause some electronic interruption?

      We’ll have to wait and see what happens Irene. Depends on if there is an Earth-directed blast. These events are nearly impossible to predict. About all we know is, it’s one of the largest sunspot regions we’ve seen on the Sun in years; it’s very turbulent and has a history of unleashing strong flares, and it’s now turning our way. The Sun doesn’t have coronal holes facing us is about the only plus right now in our favor.

        Alvin. Sun, volcanos, earthquakes, finacial breakdowns,rumors of war, and an 11-9 emergency test, oh my and I almost forgot the asteroid. My seatbelt is buckled but I’m not sure how good it is holding. These earth changes are more suspenseful than any Stephen King book. I’ve been reading your book and trying to correlate a patern it just seems like everything is connverging at once. Bless us all

      If there is an Earth directed blast class Y it certainly would interupt global communication, that is of course the biggest concern. Like stated below, there is no way to know what class flare it will be until a short time before. The one on the 4th was a class M, pretty small in the overall pictures, it did disrupt some communications (I think in Norway?)but nothing major. So, it’s just a waiting game for the next 10 days. I find it very interesting but I do not want to be around for a Class Y flare in my lifetime…

      I noticed your comment below about renting and the heat situation. We rent also and have been trying to decide for awhile if it would be better to be in a house that we “own”, not that we would really own it….I keep getting these feelings that we should stay where we are, and I’m not sure why…..Anyway, if you come up with a heat solution, let me know, will you? The only thing we’ve really discussed is a generator, but one that is big enough to provide heat is too expensive. I do not have a good feeling about this winter.

        Ronnie, I have a propane heater i use for camping. It would do in a pinch. Better than nothing…

        I have checked with a couple of the survival sites I visit and most options are either for home owners or not it my budget. I will definitely let you know if I find anything out. I’m a little concerned about this winter also. We looked several time into buying a house but it always fell through. Now that really isn’t an option for us anymore considering the current job and housing market, health issues, and the fact that I’m 2 years away from retiring. (Much harder to find a job at my age.) However, I believe the Lord will provide an answer so I try not to worry about it. (Easier said than done though.)

        Yes, definitely easier said than done, but I know you’re right. He brought me to this site! I don’t even remember how I actually got here. It’s so weird. I don’t remember what I was looking for, or why ended up here, but I’m so glad that I did.

        Ronnie – no not safe but better than freezing – I’ve used it in a tent and had it blown over bt the wind – but it was that or freeze. Just trying to suggest an inexpensive solution. If you were to watch it you would b ok…

    This has to be one of the most important websites ever to be found on the internet. I have been reading your site for quite some time and only now feel compelled to write. Please keep up the amazing work! There are lots of changes happening and unfortunately I have this “feeling” that things are only going to get worse. Today, we had hot temperatures and the sun’s intensity was obvious which is not the norm for this time of year. You said to keep looking for articles that say “rare, one in a century etc”. Well, look around and read the articles that are posted everyday. This is truly disturbing and makes one wonder what this is all leading to….

    Looks like the 11yr cycle of the Sun’s maximum may have begun a little early.
    “The next sun spot cycle (2012) will be 30% to 50% stronger than the previous one” ..Mausumi Dikpati of the National Centre of Atmospheric Research (NCAR) .
    A bumpy ride ahead for sure, on the minor aspect, practice living without GPS, cell phones and the like, on the major side like a huge CME ‘hit’, big down time.

    Alvin, why is it that I do not find much in the way of how these solar eruptions can affect the human body? I for one definitely KNOW when we have had an earth bound CME…… I have autoimmune disease and it causes me to flare badly as well as to have brain/thought pattern disruptions etc…… see my blog please….. and thanks for the wonderful work you do on our behalf.     Watching sunspots is like being forced into a game of Russian Roulette. You know its going to come, but is this the one.? It’s big and active, and coming our way.

    People are definitely wakening up now…so yes, awareness in that regard. People are responsing to a lot to things, some in positive fashion as we hoped, most on the other hand with fear of the unknown and indifference. It’s a mixed bag but it has never been about the masses who don’t…it’s about the few who dare to do.

    There was a huge X flare back in the 1800′s, and all it did was give great aurora shows even in the tropics; but they didn’t have all the communication gadgets we have now. One like that would certainly destroy all cellphone and internet capabilities, so any wise telecommunications company would make sure there are cable connections still available. A couple of weeks ago, a huge X flare erupted from the sun, but thankfully was directed on the opposite side of the sun from us.

    Revelations does say that the sun was given power to scorch people on earth for a period of 5 months, and people would seek death, but it would elude them.

    The massive sunspot, called AR1339, has been estimated to be about 80,000km long and 40,000km wide — almost eight times as big as the Earth, SpaceWeather.com reported.

    Makes perfect sense – a solar flare and heightened solar activity changes the electromagnetic field all around us and since we are ultimately waves that vibrate at a certain frequency, any change in that frequency will cause a change in our behaviour en mass.

      From what I heard on the radio this morning, the entire Time Warner internet system was also down this morning. I wasn’t using the computer at the time so I didn’t witness it. I was wondering if it was a system failure on their part of a glitch caused by the flares. I did notice interference on our TV last night.

      Any thoughts Alvin?
