Have seen subsidance like that only smaller in Australia. Being a dowser have found that they were on a water line running to springs at least 500 metres away. I think that the water dissolves and transports material resulting sinking land.

Wow I clicked on the news site and they showed another picture of it and its just wild

So many articles i’ve seen this year and last year always have a part of the title saying scientists, geologists etc. puzzled. Yet people still have their eyes closed. It’s not just the natural world just look at the Middle east and how everything is changing which people did not expect and it all began in January 2010 things are changing so quickly I’m getting whiplash

I think this is a result of the cold winter and the current dryness in Germany! In winter, the water in the ground frozed and expends! In spring, the ice melt and there are little holes filled by ground water in the ground! Now in the dryness the water evaporates and the holes can’t be stabilisize by the water so they collapse!
The BILD is a newspaper who likes to exaggerate all what happens! I am surprised that they don’t speak of aliens who dug that hole!

The meteor strike theory seems a little far fetched to me. Wouldn’t there have been radar showing it or an explosion of some kind taken place? I guess the water underground is possible, but I have a feeling more is at play here. When the scientists openly admit they are clueless, it’s time to worry and they seem to be clueless about why a lot of this stuff is happening around the world. Either that, or they know and they just aren’t telling us.

It is interesting to me that the lines of the hole from both sides (left and right) match each other. Looks like ground has opened.
Maybe optical ilusion (because angle of taking the picture can deceive).

The collapse and susequent flooding of the Retsof salt mine in upstate NY caused massive sinkholes and soil evacuation that looked exactly like this. Does anyone know if there are old mines located in the area? Our enviromental group members found over 700 old mines that were never properly sealed or marked when they were abandoned. This could be a possibility.
